| [[ Huh? XD Sorry, I swear I'm getting dumber... lol ]]
"Yes, that's acceptable." She smiled, nodding. "We'll head back now and I'll give the order to stand ground and not fire." she said with a soft chuckle. It seemed a little hollow, as did her smile. She had a bad feeling.

| (Don't worry about it. I've been feeling pretty brain dead lately.)
"Very well. I'll bid you good day," the genaral dipped his head in a small bow. "I hope to have good news for you when next we meet." The general and his bodyguards turned away sharply, and walked back to their base.
Quinn watched the men, slightly perplexed, but more troubled. For some reason it seemed that the general was leading the younger woman on. It might have been unintentional, or it could have been a ploy to see how much information they could leech out of the teenager. All the same she followed Biocybera and Obsidian back to base.
Meanwhile, while the general relayed the information to his superiors, some research was being done on the adult that accompanied the empress and her pint sized general. The woman had been reported to being a POW, along with her partner. Both were assumed to be dead. But if they weren't, were they both being held against their will, or were they traitors?

| As Biocybera walked, she plotted. Finally, she spoke to the two. "We need to keep up the appearance of doing nothing, yet get as many children out of here as possible." she stated quietly to the pair. "Quinn, I'll need to use your brother. Psiblast isn't the only psychic here. Problem is, I have no idea which others are trustworthy, and I can't let out any of my experiments too early."
Obsidian grumbled. "I don't like that idea of yours, Mistress. It's horrible and leaves you vulnerable. If they can shoot someone in the back, they can go against a deal."
"I know. Chances are, they'll reject it, but if they're deliberating, that buys us time."

| Quinn walked behind Biocybera, back to the base. She was uneasy, to say the least, about the plan, as well as what might become of it. Her attention was brought back to the present when the younger woman spoke. She agreed with getting the children out. A fight seemed unavoidable, reguardless of what had been said. But the woman was less sure of why the teenager needed her brother. As far as she knew, Alex didn't have any special abilities.
"I can't say I understand why you need him, but if you think he can help, I don't see why not," she replied, sounding more uneasy than she would have liked. She was quiet for a moment. "I don't like this," she said suddenly. "Something isn't adding up. The guys I knew wouldn't accept or even consider this kind of proposal," she said more to herself than to the others.

| "Of course they won't. I'm buying time." Biocybera said with a small smirk. "Evac is difficult when a bombardment is happening. Hopefully, with another psychic along with us-" she paused, eyes lighting with an idea. "Come with me. Nevermind your brother." she ordered, running to a lab and pulling out a capsule from her vest. She had an idea, and possibly a dangerous one.

| Quinn agreed with the comment about evacuating during an attack. Though the strange gleam in the teenagers' eyes gave the woman a reason to be slightly aprehensive about the idea that was in the process of taking flight. Mad science was cool and all, but sometimes it made Quinn wonder what she had gotten herself into. Whatever the case was, she knew better than to go against a direct order. She definitely couldn't ignore one in that tone of voice.
She followed the younger woman back to the recently cleared labs. Quinn waited nearby as Biocybera put her plan in motion. Unsure of what was going on, the older woman bit her lip, slightly. "Dare I ask what you have planned?" she asked, sounding curious.

| "You've noticed that Obsidian, Morticea, Psiblast, and I have watches, correct? I need to hard-code them for the destination, then simply hand them out and take them back when I'm done." she explained with a grin. "Actually... maybe I could just have them fry themselves once they've teleported. Yes, much easier..." she murmured, lips curled upwards. "Maybe add lasers? No, too retarded, they'll just get shorted out too.

| Quinn nodded. "I had been wondering about the watches, yes." They made sense, using them as teleporters. There was yet another thing to add to her list of things she wanted to investigate in some way. Though the whole asking for permission to mess around with the advanced stuff was always a daunting task.
She bit her lip when the teenager began to ramble. Quinn hated butting into Biocyberas' ideas. "Um, I hate to interrupt your thought process, but what do they have to do with us being in here?"

| "The machine for replicating the watches isn't meant to be seen by underling eyes." she explained, bringing the machine out of its capsule with the push of its button. She began programming it to do what she wanted, then pressed a button. It would be easier for Psiblast to teleport watches onto the children than it would be for Psiblast to teleport children.
The rest of the day was spent passing out watches to children inside, who were instructed to use them only when told. Biocybera waited for the signal that there was an answer or a new start to the assault.

| "Ah, alright," Quinn nodded, letting Biocybera know that she understood. She still wasn't sure why she had been called aside, but that was unimportant. She helped out where she could. In the back of her mind, she wondered what would become of the teenagers' bargain.
Meanwhile at one of the camps, generals conversed with their commanders via satelite. They came to a decision much sooner than the deadline was up. All the same, it was well into the night when they sent a flare into the sky. The flare lit up part of the clearing around the base. After some time had passed, as they needed to decide who would be the ones that would meet with Biocybera, three men walked out to the middle. They were fully armed, as the previous group had been.

| Biocybera walked out. Roughly a third of her child soldiers had the watches now. She walked self-assuredly, giving no sign of worry. Once she arrived in the middle, she gave a small smile. "Hello there." she greeted. She was purposely giving the appearance of things suddenly going her way. There was much to do, but the appearance's effect would be interesting nonetheless.

| (All by her lonesome? Well, that's a bit foolhardy of her.)
It was a different set of men this time, that met with the young woman. "Good evening," the man in charge replied. If he or his companions were concerned by her attitude, they didn't show it. Instead there was a strange, hard glint in their eyes. "We've spoken with our commanding officers, and have come to a decision," the man in front continued. "We are here to notify you that your offer has been refused."
(I figure I'll stop there, to give her a chance to reply before they attempt to take her down.)

| (No snipers this time. However the men that are speaking with her are armed with tazers. They have lethal weapons as well, but they're going to try to subdue first.)

| [[ Okey doke. ]]
The woman could see the weapons. "Here I thought parlay meant no weapons." she said with a frown. She knew that by now her father had her code copied and he was watching. If she died here, she would likely be pasted into his lab, but she would be alive. Bastard. "Anyways. I got my answer, so we can both go back and resume the orders to fight, I'm sure."
