"How are you going to go about this exactly, Sire?" Karic asked, walking beside the king as they were making their way to the carriage that would take them back to the castle.
"List out all the available bachlorettes and their familes, and send invites to those that seem to be the best candidates."
"Candidates? How am I supposed to-"
"Do it as if you really were selecting me a wife, Keric."
Keric nodded, "I see, alright, I'll do that," he said and they continued walking on.

Lisette weaved through the crowd, losing the king's entourage more than once but soon found them after a while. 'They must be heading back to their carriage.' She thought, shoving past people, also muttering her apologies. "W-wait!" Elise called out, waving her hands frantically. Every step she took, it looked like they were walking farther away.

Alexander thought he heard someone call out for someone to wait but didn't pay much mind to it. "Ah, when do you think the festival will end this time, Keric?"
"Not sure, I believe your little speech may have made it so that they'll all want to stay out and celebrate a little longer, maybe chat about their ideas of what exactly you have in store for them."
Aleander smiled, "You may be right," he sad and then stopped and looked back to see the people of the festival again, but someone that was making their way through the crowd caught his attention as he scanned it, "Oh, look Keric."
Keric looked, he wasn't sure what he was looking for at first, but then saw it, "Oh, that young woman?"
"Yes, is she coming toward us?"
"Perhaps..."

"Your majesty, wait!" Lisette waved her arms and gently pushed the people in front of her out of the way. Once she was about to reach him, she crashed into someone much bigger than her. Her pirates costume was still intact, although a little bit dusty.

"Sorry, about that... I was trying to..." Elise looked up and frowned. "Oh, it's you Erik." The big burly man sneered at her and said, "Oh, I almost didn't recognize you, Elise. I thought you were just some skinny man, wanting to get a beating from me."

Now, although Elise is highly respected in the kingdom, there are, of course, those who despise and bully her.

"Oh, I didn't realize that your eyesight was failing you." Elise got up and dusted herself off. Erik looked at her through bloodshot eyes. As she tried to get to the king, he grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up. She tried to wriggle away from his grip. "L-let me go!"

The people passed by him, ignoring them because they knew that Erik would hurt them badly if any one of them tried to fight against him. "You've been such a nuisance to me, Elise."

"Release her," Alex said, a glistening, sliver sword now pressed slightly against this brute's throat, "Now." Alex said firmly.

As soon as this man had lifted the woman into the air he swiftly made his way over and had drawn his sword that was at his hip and was trying to make him let go.

Erik felt the cold tip of the sword at his throat and at his hip and suddenly let Lisette go, her gasping for breath. He looked down and his bloodshot eyes widened with terror. "Yo-your majesty. I am tr-truly sorry." He fell to his knees and kept apologizing as Elise adjusted her eye patch, glaring at Erik who now acted meek in front of the king.

Elise was lucky that the king had saved her.

"Yes," Alexander said and brought his sword back a little, but it was still pointed at him, "Has he harrassed you before, young lady? Or was this a new thing?" he asked the girl that was now on the ground straightening up herself, but kept his eye oh the man in front of him.

"He has harassed all of us!" Lisette heard an old woman say as she hobbled her way through the crowd. Elise was about to answer the king's question when the other people started to agree and argue between themselves. They have seem to have forgotten about the king in their presence and so, Elise got up and made a whistle loud enough to quiet the villagers.

"Don't you people know that his majesty is here? Now please, keep silent for he may say something." She gave glares for those who seemed to ignore her and nodded to Alexander.

Alexander raised an eyebrow at the young girl who had silenced the crowd and then looked them all over. "Has he?" He said and put his sword away. He looked back at the brute, now looking as if he had shrunk a little, "What do you have to say for your self...," he made a gesture toward the boy to see if he could get a name out of him.

"T-the name's Erik. Erik Reed, your majesty." He cowered before Alexander, begging him to spare his life. Lisette rolled her eyes. Annoyed by the patch that had formed her costume, she took it off and placed it in one of the pockets of her breeches.

"But you're guilty of what's been claimed?" He said, not hearing him deny any of it. He turned to keric and whispered something into his ear, he nodded and then brought two gaurds over. They both took Erik firmly by either forearm, "You'll come with us for a bit, don't worry," Alexander said to him, and the gaurds took him away.

He then looked to the young woman again, "Are you alright?"

Erik unusually kept silent as he was led away by the guards. A few people dared to sneer at him as they passed by them. Lisette then faintly smiled. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me back there." She then realized who she was talking to and showed respect by getting down on one knee and bowing her head. "Your majesty."

"I, um," He said watching her bow down, "It's ok, you may rise," he said gently. "You're welcome. May I ask you your name?"

"Lisette. Lisette Sherwood, your majesty." She said once she got up, dusting the dirt off her costume.
