Kare cursed under his breath and ran straight passed Tyranitar to the child. Future Sight! He commanded to attempt to see the best path to take out out the building. "Upsy-daisy" He said to the kid as he lifted him up onto his shoulder. He then ran to the other side of the building and leaped out of the window, rolling with the child tucked in as he grazed the roof of the smalled building next door. He let the kid go and stood, watching as the building collapsed and the sun invading his eyes again. He lifted his mask over his eyes and sighed. "This really isn't turning out to be my day."

Before Meelia could answer, she heard the sound of a collapsing building. Wartortle started running in that direction before she could register what had happened, and she chased after him. "Wait up!" She shouted, a few steps behind. She felt bad running off without her newfound companion, but she had to see if there was anybody caught under the rubble.

When she finally arrived, she squinted through the dust. "What... what happened here?"

Don blinked. Who were all these people suddenly appearing? Tyranitar roared and returned to his side, the building now just a mass of rubble. 'Return!' he commanded, and slipped away.

Kim flew towards where the man had gone, and looked around. There was no one there. Had he vanished, just like that? 'Who was he?' she asked, 'and who are you?'

Meelia didn't see her newfound friend pursue a strange man. She was too busy wondering if there was anybody trapped under there. "Hariyama!" she shouted as she released him from his Pokeball. "I'm going to need your help clearing away this rubble. Think you can do this?"

Hariyama nodded and lifted up a large chunk of concrete, placing it to the side. "Good." Meelia watched as he started on his job. "We have to see if anyone is hurt under all of that." Wartortle even decided to do his part, picking up smaller rocks. Hopefully, there would be nobody. It was worth checking, though.

Kim used Psychic to sense if there was anyone alive there. She met with a mind, though it was too simple to be a human's. 'There's a skitty.... there.' She pointed.

Wartortle~Hariyama

Meelia blinked. Deciding not to argue or ask how she could do that, she commanded Hariyama to move to that area. After a few minutes of clearing away concrete and beams, he pulled out a Skitty that was obviously in a lot of pain. "Oh my..." She ran over, taking the Skitty out of Hariyama's arms. "Wartortle! Fish through my bag for a potion!" She shouted over to the turtle-thing.

Wartortle dropped the stone he was carrying and ran to Meelia's backpack. After a few seconds, he pulled out a blueish spray bottle and handed it to her. Meelia used it on the Skitty, and it healed significantly. It was still hurt, though. Unfortunately, that was her last potion. She would have to stock up the next chance she got. "Well, you can travel with me until you decide to go somewhere else, okay?" She looked down at it and smiled.

The Skitty gave a weak nod and fell asleep, seeming to be a lot more comfortable than before. She looked over at Kim. "Now... how did you know that, if you don't mind me asking."

'I was created by Proffesor Arcaina. He's been experimenting with human and pokemon DNA and, well, I am one of the results. And so is that guy, I guess.' She signalled to the boy that resembled a Duskull. 'We were created to help defeat the evil people that have been taking over the planet. But we can't do it alone.' She walked over to the little boy, staring at them all with terrified eyes. 'Hello there,' she said softly. 'What is your name?'
'Evan,' he squeaked.
'Well, Evan. This place is very dangerous. People like that mean man will come and hurt you if you stay, do you understand?' He nodded. 'Good. I know a man. He's a kind of scientist, you see. He'll look after you well. When you go to him, I want you to tell him that Kim sent you, okay?' He nodded again. 'Now, close your eyes shut. Relax. Try to leave your mind blank. When you open your eyes again, you will be somewhere else.' He did as instructed, and Kim murmured, 'Teleport!' He vanished.

"What the..." Meelia looked up at where she was motioning. A masked boy was sitting there. How come she hadn't noticed him before? "Human and pokemon hybrids, eh?" She bit her lower lip in thought. "An interesting concept, I must say." She kicked a stray piece of concrete. Suddenly, her mood changed. "Well, you've found an ally in me! You can count on that!" She enthusiastically stated, placing her hands on her hips.

Kare yawned as he looked over at Kim. "Long time no see." He said with disinterest. "I am going to find a place to nap at" He turned to head the opposite way of the rubble. "There was a man with a Tyranitar but I don't feel like pursuing him. The sun is giving me a headache."

She walked slowly through rubble of the fallen city, looking around and taking in the site. "Wow," she said, "Look at this place Mudkip... Phobia sure do work fast," she sighed. The mudkip that was following beside her, that was jumping on rocks nodded and then continued jumping forward from rock to rock, then came off and got closer to her. She stopped and looked down at him, "What do you think we should do first? Find shelter in case we have to stay longer, find the others of the professor's ranks, or try to look for survivors?" She pondered and the Mudkip continued to look at her, then looked forward.
"Do you sense people? Anything?"
The Mudkip's upper fin started to wiggle a little, it looked up at her and responded eagarly. It had found something.
"Take me," she said and followed it as it started to run off.

After running for a moment, it stopped.
"What is i- What the?" She felt something shifting in the ground, but only slightly. It was moving. "Mudkip," she said, "Is it a pokemon?" The mudkip nodded. She wasn't sure if she should have her mudkip dig and risk having it be attacked, or wait and see if the other pokemon would come up so they could see what it was. It could just as easily be a Team Phobia pokemon. She decided to wait and moved slowly toward a nearby pile of rubble. "Come on," she whispered and hid behind it.

They waited behind it for a while. Then suddenly, the pokemon popped out, but at a distance away. It was hard to tell what it was at first, because it quickly popped out, then went right back into the ground, she thought she saw blue fur, red firey spots on the back of its head, it was long, it was a, "Quillava?" she said uncertainly.

Quilava looked over the rubble of the city. He was looking for anything that he thought would please his master. So far he had only felt a rumble in the distance and was headed toward it though. When he was about to head back he suddenly caught a sent on the wind of another Pokemon. He stiffend slightly let out a growl to warn it of his presense.

Don wandered through the city, bored again. Maybe he should follow those other people around. Nah, maybe they had pokemon that could sense him, and he didn't feel like being attacked by several people at once. He didn't doubt his strength, but he liked his pokemon to be at their full strength for when he really needed to fight or if he found some weakling to torment. So he continued to wander through the streets of the ruined city, munching on his chocolate bar. Yum.

Kim watched as he left, then smiled at Meelia. 'Great,' she said. 'We should stick together and stay alert. Team Phobia could be anywhere, and we wouldn't want to be caught unprepared.' She looked around. 'This place is making me nervous. Let's go.'

Kare shook his head. "I will be fine. You can stick with this chick and you should be too." Kare laughed. "Good luck with the team phobia goons if you run into them before night. I won't be waking until then." [i]Shadow ball.[/b] Kare thought with ease and was surrounded by a dark purple force that allowed him to whisk any way that he pleased, and that way was the forest beyond the city.
