Biography: Ophelia was walking back to her home one day after school. She decided to cut trough a nearby park to save some time. Around half-way into the park, the path was crossing a small wood. Ophelia didn't noticed it before, probably because of the poor light passing through the trees, but a portal had formed in the middle of the way. Before she could do anything, she was caught into it and thrown into a new world. Two years have passed since her arrival at the Academy.

Biography: Lily was raised by her single mother and the two were extremely close, they were each others' best friends; her mother had little time to go out and socialise due to needing to work a lot and was often looked down upon for not being well-educated and because of this rather poor. Lily also found it hard to make friends because of their money problems and withdrew from others her own age, along with most people early on in life, spending her time working hard in school to get the education her mother worked so hard to give her the opportunity for. They were both all the other had in the world. But when Lily was thirteen years old they were in a car accident that took her mother's life.
She was completely alone in the world, and because she'd taken herself so far away from other people had no idea how to interact with them anymore, not even wanting anything to do with them and finding it very hard to trust them. Hopeless and lost she decided she was going to kill herself. She went out walking very late one night, part of her wishing to get killed by someone as it would be easier than having to take her own life. It was on that night that she discovered a portal in a backstreet and was sucked into it.
The first thing she saw when she came to was a beautiful, golden-haired Angel, oddly enough named Gabriel, who had found her and taken her to the Academy. She saw him as her saviour and immediately took the opportunity for the new start that she had been blessed with. Since that day she studied her very hardest and poured everything into her work, even forcing herself to interact with other people as it was the only way she'd ever progress. Because of this she rose through the ranks very quickly, finding when she attained her Silver badge that she had a talent from botany, though she stopped when she reached her Gold badge, not wanting to make the attempt for Platinum until she felt she was truly ready as she didn't want to waste her one chance at it. She has just recently been given a team to mentor after a sudden flood of newcomers. Though not thrilled at the idea she knows how important it is and is ready to do her part.
Monsters: Rhiannon (Dryad), Harmony (Harpy), Venus (Giant Venus Fly Trap), Shroom (Funghi). (I may add more later, specifically a Higher Level Monster.)

Tate has a very dark outlook on life and it takes a hell of a lot for him to trust anyone. He's willing to help people in trouble, especially those living in a similar situation to him, thinking they should take care of one another when they can, but when it comes down to it he knows he has to look out for himself, and if it's a contest between him and someone with a much better quality of life he won't think twice before choosing himself over them, even having some resentment towards them, though not unfounded as many people take for granted things he longs to have.
Biography: Tate grew up in an abusive household with his mother and stepfather, his real father long gone though his mother never told him anything about him. The two didn't seem to give a damn about him and fought with one another constantly. His stepfather would often take his anger out on him in the form of violence, and even his mother wasn't above hitting him when she was angry, especially if she'd been drinking.
When he was ten years old he ran away from home and never looked back, and since that day has lived on the streets, learning to fend for himself. He's been forced to learn how to beg, steal (and break into places to do so) and defend himself, and though often in need of a bath and a good meal he can hold his own in a fight, even with a fully grown adult as he's had to learn to deal with anything that comes his way, even if it just means running away.
When he left home he left his surname behind, not wanting any ties to his so-called "family".
Late one night when still wandering around to find a safe place to get some rest he stumbled upon a portal and was sucked in. When he awoke he was in the Academy.

Biography: Jim and Tommy tumbled through the portal arguing on their way home from the last day of school. They had lectured by the teacher that morning for arguing loudly in class over a board game, again at lunch for almost starting a food fight (which they were able to charm their way out of missing recess), and sent to the principal's office for fighting during recess over a kickball game. At the time the portal appeared, they were at an impasse as to what to tell their parents when they got home (they could not lie their way out of it; the principal had already called both their parents), and had started shoving each other. Jim then ran down the sidewalk towards the park across from their neighborhood. Tommy, trying to catch up, watched from a distance as Jim boasted and gloated from the tire swing, and then inexplicably fell through it and disappeared. As soon as Tommy peered into the hole, he too was sucked inside; the tire swaying idly in the summer breeze.

However, it is not advised to try to manipulate him, since he can be really dangerous if he finds out what you are trying to do.
Biography: Daren came to the Academy 20 years ago, at a time where portals were still just a rumor on earth. He was skipping school one day, pretending to have an appointment for a dental exam or some other random excuse, and was planning on hanging with his bum friends in a park for the rest of the day. He arrived first at the park and sat on a bench, waiting for the others to show up. After a few minutes, he heard some noises coming from some large bushes behind him. Thinking his friends were hiding there and planning to surprise him with some unfunny jokes, he got up and jumped in the bushes, believing he would catch them. Unfortunately for him, the "thing" making the noises was a small portal that was blowing winds into the nearby leaves. Daren had nothing to catch to and was quickly sucked in by the portal.
Due to his athletic body and competitive spirit, Daren quickly got used to the Academy lifestyle. Though he loved his family, he never got along well with his parents, and so he never regretted coming to this world. He never appreciated the strict discipline his mentors enforced on him, but he didn't mind much as long as he was allowed to physically pushed himself - and others - in battles. He quickly became an adept of fighting by himself, and always thought that relying only on monster's strength in battle was a sign of weakness. After years of training, he became a teacher for fighting lessons and other physical trainings.

If one word could be used to describe Dan, it would be reliable. He is always there for others and enjoys being around other people. However, as long as someone makes some efforts, he will do anything he can to help them. And, for some reason, Dan doesn't love felines and feline monsters.
Biography: Dan arrived at the Academy when he was 15 years old. His mother had asked him to take the trashes out one day, and when he turned the corner to reach the garbage bin behind his house, he was sucked into a portal. Though he didn't have a great relationship with his parents and siblings, it was still a great shock for him.
Soon after, he met a girl called Aurelia and was teamed up with her to do missions, under the supervision of Helen Stafford. They both showed great potential, though Dan was always annoyed, and maybe a bit envious, of how simple things were for Aurelia. There's always been a friendly rivalry between them and it's still shows today even if they are no longer part of the same team.
When he reached the silver badge, Dan decided to specialize in spying and communication, so that he would be able to help his friends and prevent them from getting hurt. Due to his natural agility and friendly nature, he made quick progress in that field and soon became a gold badge student. He now spends most of his time monitoring the Academy and making sure everything is alright, though he'll still accept some missions if needed.
