Hi guys. New and clueless! n_n

Hello fellow Midorea users. I'm new to this site. And so far incredibly clueless. This place seems a little difficult to navigate compared to generic avatar sites that I'm used to. Can someone please fill me in on the basics? This battle system is confusing.
Also about the avatars, are there no basic clothing/facial and hair structures?

Hiya! First off, a welcome is in order, because we like new people and they're fun and colorful and yummy (wait that's donuts...) and AWESOME.

The battle system is basically the same thing as neopets. You pick what you want to do from the drop down menu underneath the picture of you (it's just what you want to attack with, or defend, or heal, or flee) then duke it out with whatever you're fighting.

The avatar does come with a few simple things. Up close to the top, there's the avatar tab. Click that, and you'll come to your avatar customization page. You've got the one hairstyle in a bunch of colors, and a bunch of eyes, skin colors, noses, mouthes, those facial features. You can buy new cloths and hairstyles and stuff from the shops around the site, be it the regular site or the user owned threads.

Well, I guess Mal pretty much answered everything.
Just one thing about the battle system: don't forget to bring a weapon, even if it's just a volleyball (can be bought for 5 silver at the weaponsmith)!
Fighting with your bare hands... isn't a good idea.

Apart that, you can always check the Newcomers Help Center for info about the site and all that. It's not really pretty, but most of the info should still be accurate.

And if you have any extra question, feel free to ask pretty much anyone around (including mods and admins - we don't bite and love to help)!

Ha, I came back around here right after I suggested it to you on Solia. It's good to see that you at least came to look around a bit. ^^ I know it's slow but once you get into it you see that the people here are AMAZING. <3

The biggest thing that got me when I started (and still does on occasion) is the 'new topic' button and the fact that it's right by the 'post reply' button.
