Curious newbie, checking in!

Hello! I'm new to the site, and still figuring out how things work, but I thought I'd introduce myself before I get any more distracted.

(Ooh, what's that link do? ...No, finish the post first!)

Anyways, I'm Miyumi, hi everyone. I'm just your average girl in the US who has a habit of staying up far later than she really should due to night classes and procrastination. (And I think that was a run-on sentence. Whoops.) In any case, it's nice to have found a place where the forums don't move so fast that being busy for an hour (or a day, or several) means falling helplessly behind in everything. Which in turn leads to lurking, which leads to being active less, and I'm really trying hard not to do that so much. Then again, I also need to work on not rambling when I don't know what to say, huh? Sorry, sorry. I'm done for now - time to finish trying random things!

Thanks, everyone, for the welcome and the information! I definitely found some useful links in the help center. (Especially the avatar creator! It's just the kind of thing I was wishing the site had when I wandered into the clothing stores. Being able to see how things can go together makes the system much more flexible than I thought. Now the hard part is just choosing what to start with...)

And I'm looking forward to taking part in the event, too. Just have to work on getting to a level where I can do those quests! With the features I've seen so far, and everyone seeming pretty friendly, I think I'll like it here.
