For My Deity (OOC)

Hi there, Arthil here!

After scouring Midorea's site for information about tribes, elements and alignments I got an idea for a Midorea-based RP (since I have yet to see one) and I have a pretty good idea about it, though I'm still wanting some feedback.

Now, since it's a Midorean RP I want it to show pride for the site. I want to eventually turn the RP into a story (given that people will join) and publish it to the sites I frequently visit. Not only that, but hopefully it will shed some light onto the history that's been loosely written about (since there isn't much to read, so I've seen).

Basically "For My Deity" is a Midorean player (you or another character of yours through via RP) who choses between Evil, Holy and Neutral. They go through trials of each alignment in order to join, but before they go through their trials they must first get their element, the leader of the alignment's trust AND a certain 'god' to worship. Well, since there isn't much about the deities themselves I've come up with some ideas for the characteristics.

Element-wise I've written some bits and pieces about each, based on the skill modifiers given by Catghost. I would appreciate feedback on these, as well.


The Four Main Elements
Water - the essence of peace and innovation; water is essential to diplomatics of any race or alignment. Anyone who wields a water element tends to have better luck with enchanting and magic skills at the cost of strength and theft.
Earth - earth is the very core of any other element for it was the first to create the worlds (so is theoretical); it gives and takes and homes many races - therefore any who wield this element have strength, courage and hospitality.
Fire - the energy of all elemental things; it was the first known energy source as well as 'living' element. Fire can consume and destroy; but in its scarred path there is always anew life left behind to grow and nestle into the once desolated soil.
Air - the fixed air signs are relatively intelligent and intuitive; each with their unique abilities of the use of Wind. Those who wield Air or Wind tend to be optimistic, light-hearted but also very jovial and forgetful.

The Second Strain of Core Elements
Energy - those who harness energy tend to be born to a Fire elementite; causing them to be either destructive or very energetic and kind. Energy is essential in all living things; therefore without energy there is no life.
Light - though the Wind users are very intuitive and considerate, Light users are always the psychic types who wield an amazing reservoir of potential (some locked away at birth, some must work for it if not). They are automatically a Neutral or Holy alignment due to their mental abilities. It is not unheard of that they will change alignments.
Darkness - with light, there is always darkness. Darkness is what helps differentiate all the elements apart. You could say darkness works as a key outline to any and all of elements, despite the rumors about evil though it is not unheard of for Dark users to go to the Evil side, for not only are they the perfect warriors, they make excellent tricksters and spies…
Ice - Ice users are rare between non-magic and magical users, in fact only so few have been known to the world. Many believe that they are to be ruthless and unkind, but not all are akin to such things.
Metal - No, not referring the music. Metal users tend to be blacksmiths or a descendant from a fire user. Metal users can go for any alignment they chose; making armor and weapons designed for a specific element.
Poison - Quick, lethal and often shadows to the human eye - Poison users are the predators of the markets. They are known to be thieves and bards, though they are always ready to make a deal with any high bidder…

Exclusive: BACON - Great chefs and light-hearted warriors of any trade; they are the jack of all trades but masters of none. Bacon users are rare and tend to be unheard of, but they are quite real and uncommon.

The Introduction of the RP

Heh, silly me. I forgot the piece of resistance.

This is what I've written thus far (feedback grandly appreciated!)

In history, there are three types of deities; the ancient deities, the lower deities and the fallen deities. Only one fallen deity is currently known with his legion of followers; he has been plotting against the lower and ancient deities. No one knows what he has been up to, though he has a legion of followers known as the Cursed Ones. You chose to either be a warrior of Holy, Evil or Neutral bounds.

You are a Midorean; whether you are from the Horai or the Jobe tribes you are part of the vast world we all live in. You, specifically, are a vessel of good, evil or neutral. In any coincidence, you can chose your alignment but your loyalty must stay fair. There is only one choice; and one decision masks you for the rest of eternity. Luckily, you have three guides from each alignment to help you chose which you wish to join. Alignments can interfere with elements; sometimes even tribes. So you will have to chose your element after learning about each element themselves.
