Misunderstood-- {Kiroro and Kairie}

[kiroro]

Sarah smiled, "Yea, lunch," she giggled, "I guess we'd better get going Kai. I'll see you in first period tomorrow!" She said with a wave and then started to make her way toward her next class.

[Kairie]

Kai waved at smiling. "See you first period." He murmured, and headed to his next class. He really liked Sarah.

Sarah was really starting to like Kai. He wasn't strange at all, and he seemed so nice, and, well, pretty cute. Sarah blushed a bit and it soon disappeared as she made her way into her class.
Sarah made her way to her spot in front of her easel, and got a strange feeling, as if she was being watched. She looked around the class, and saw that everyone was not only looking at her, but glaring and whispering things to one another. Sarah turned her attention to her teacher nervously, waiting for the class to end before it had even started. 'What's with all these people?'

[Kairie]

Kai went to Science, recieving glares and murmures from the kids. As usual. He ignored it, taking a seat in the back, and waited for school to get over. He was actually tempted to skip, but something told him not to.

Sarah was glad to finally be out of fourth period and started to make her way to fifth when suddenly someone grabbed her arm.
"Ah, what the?" She turned to come face to face to a very stern looking Ash. Sarah knew this look, it happened when someone made Ash, well, pretty upset, "Ash? What's wrong?"
"Those girls," was all Ash said, releasing Sarah's arms.
"What? Who?" Sarah looked Ash over again, "Ashley, take a deep breath, ok?"
Ash took a deep breath and then she started to calm down, she took one more for good measures, "Those girls. The ones we didn't let on the cheer squad, Nicole, Bridget, and Candice? You're my best friend Sarah, no matter what you do, you know that already though, and I can't stand to hear people takling stuff about you."
"What? They were saying something about me?"
"Yes...everyone is..." Ash sighed in defeat, "I wish I could do something, but I can't."
"It's because of Kai."
"Obviously," Ash gave her a sad look, "It's still early Sarah, drop the ball and get off the court, seriously, please. Call it quits and stop talking to that boy. If you don't your reputation will be in the pits Sarah."
Sarah shook her head, "I don't care what they all think. I don't care if the kick me off the squad, I don't care if I get kicked out of everywhere. I really don't Ash, I don't care at all what they all think because they're narrow minded and Kai is a good guy."
"So you don't care about what they think?"
"No, I don't."
"What about what I think?"
"What? Ash? You're my best friend, you know that, but, I can't stop talking to Kai, really, you've all got him wrong, he's really nice and evreything."
Ashley looked away from her and stared down the hall, watching the kids pass by them, "Where do you think he's travled?" Ash asked quietly.
"What?"
Ash looked back to Sarah and shook her head, "Nothing, come on Sarah, befor we're late to class."
"Oh...alright..." Sarah said, now very confused, but followed Ash to the gym.

[Kairie]

Kai got was glad when class was over, he headed to fifth period. He sighed. He really wanted to leave, he was tired of hearing the people gossip. He said down in the front of the class. Maybe if he couldn't see them gossiping about him it would help.

During gym, Ash didn't say much to Sarah at all, and Sarah didn't say much to her. She could see that Ash was a little out of it, and really focused on other things, well, in a way, most of the time, it looked like she was tuning the world out, like she was on auto-pilot. Sarah didn't see Ash like this often, so she never really knew what to do.
After gym, Ash left the locker room without saying a word. to her.

It was now after school, and Sarah looked around the courtyard for Ash. They always walked home together, but she didn't see her yet. Sarah was hoping that Ash would at least walk with her.

[Kairie]

Kai was glad when he was able to go home. He hadn't liked his first day to much, but it was better than most. Thanks to Sarah. He began heading home.

Sarah looked around, and then she spotted Kai starting to walk home. She smiled and took a step toward him, but stopped herself, she needed to wait for Ash, just in case she came. Sarah looked to her left and there was Ash. Sarah smiled and went over to her, "Hey, Ash!" Sarah smiled at her.
"Hey Sarah," Ash replied, smiling as well, "Ready to go?"
Sarah was relieved to have Ash actually speaking now, and she didn't seem to be upset anymore either. "Yea, come on, lets go." and then started to walk home together.

[Kairie]

Kai continued walking home. Once he reached his apartment he went and put his stuff up then laid down on the couch. He was bored out of his mind. And seemed to be getting hungry. He shook his head trying to get the feeling to go away.

Sarah waved to Ash as they made it to her house first and they split from each other. Sarah was glad that on their way home together that they were actually talking and laughing like nothing had really happened at all that day.
Sarah walked into her house, saying hello to her mother and father and then made her way up to her room wondering about the new cheer the squad was going to work on before Greg's big game. She threw her bag on her bed and placed her hat on her bed post. She'd only spoken with Greg once today, and it wasn't exactly the best conversation in her opinion. She layed on her bed and looked at her hat. She had heard that placing ones hat on their bed post would cause bad luck. Was it true? Sarah was never really that superstitious, so she put that thought out of her mind quickly.
Sarah turned onto her side. Greg was on the football team. He wasn't the star, no, but he was good, just like the rest of the team. He was also one of Sarah's closest friends. He was funny, smart, handsome, but sometimes, he got a little overprotective of Sarah, so she couldn't think of him as any more than an older brother to her. She smiled, wondering if she should text Greg or not and ask him how he was doing, but instead, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
She woke up for dinner and then afterward finished off her homework and then went to bed. Tomorrow was Friday, and that meant a semi-free weekend afterward for her. She had cheerleading practice on Saturday for a few hours, and then Ash said she was coming to watch also so that afterward they could go on and hangout together. Ashley herself, was on the basketball team, not a huge fan of jumping into the air or catching these girls that fell from the sky. No, Ash wasn't the cheerleading type, she was the best-girl-on-the-basketball-team type. Sarah enjoyed watching both Greg and Ash play, both not considering cheerleading to be a real sport at all. 'Any one can jump and shake their butts,' Ash mocked, 'Is it really that hard to hold up a 20lb girl? I mean, you're not that thin Sarah, but really,' Greg would say. It always got at Sarah, but she knew they were only teasing.
Sarah, Ash, and Greg were all really well known, and each of them had some of the best reputations. Sarah could tell people were starting to question her, even though they knew how nice and friendly she was. Sarah speaking to new people wasn't new at all, she was always welcoming, so how come now, with Kai, do they start to treat her differently? She didn't want to think about it, she thought it was stupid of them all to start doing this, even Ash and Greg were sucked into it for a bit, but Ash seems to be acting herself again, but she wasn't sure about Greg. Sarah wouldn't know what she would do if she lost her two closest friends from just being herself.
The next morning Sarah quickly got ready for school. She waited outside for Ash, who soon came walking down the street smiling and waving at Sarah. Sarah waved back at her. Once Ash made it up there, they began to walk to school together.
"Still coming to my practice today?" Sarah asked.
"Yes, of course," Ash smiled, "Said I would, wouldn't I?"

Kai soon got bored and went to his room going to sleep, it'd help the hunger for now if he wasn't using energy he didn't have. He slept the rest of the night. Once he woke up he got dressed for school, and began walking there. He began wondering if Sarah would talk to him again, or if she would listen to all the talk and just ignore him.

"So, you going to go and watch the cheer practice?"
"Nah, you?"
Two boys walked down the hall after the final bell of the day had rang. They gave the new kid a quick glance as they passed him, but then went back to their conversation.
"Ah, maybe. Sarah and them were supposed to have had come up with a new cheer or something."
The other boy elbowed the other guy in the gut, "You'd go to the practice only to see the routine! You've got to be kidding me!"
"Ow, man, that hurt," he said, holding his stomach.

"So, where is she?" he asked Greg.
"She's going to cheer practice of course," A girl interrupted Greg as he was about to speak, "Don't you even know where your own little sister is going to be Toh?"
The boy named Toh sighed, "Yea yea, whatever Jackie."
Jakie sighed and shook her head, "I don't believe this. I thought it was all just rumors, you know how I feel about rumors."
Toh nodded, "Yea, I thought they were only rumors too, but, I guess not huh?"
"No, maybe they are."
"But Greg said-"
"Forget what he said," Jackie started to walk down the hall, "I'll ask her myself."
"I'll come too," Toh said, following behind his sister, Jackie.
Greg watched them as they walked down the hall together and then scratched his head. He decided to follow them to the practice as well.

Kai began wondering what he would do after school. Mabye go ask Sarah for help on some homework, even though he didn't need it. He closed his locker and decided he'd go as if she'd help him.
