And I'm new =) Yay?
I have so many avatar sites I'm a part of now, But I love them all equally~<3
I'm a female college student who is hoping to find some sort of career in art or fashion, because that's mostly where my interests lay~

I am an avid videogamer and a shoe saleswomen 0.0
*tries to think of something new and unique about herself to tell* umm...

I'm a loyal friend ~!!!!!
darn that wasn't very interesting @3@

Well I guess I should ask if there's anything I should know about this site? I'm a experienced Avatar site user, I'm a member of Zantarni,Menewsha,Solia,Gaia ect. So I have a basic understanding of rules and process on these sort of sites~

Anyway Hopefully I can make some new friends~ anyone care to share a bit about themselves?

Welcome to Midorea. :] All I can suggest for you is to read all of the sets of rules in threads before you post and such; it shouldn't be terribly hard to catch on.

Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions that you have afterward. ^^

Thank you all for the warm welcomes =)
Very much appreciated~

what sort of gamer huh?
Well I was born and raised a Nintendo gamer, my dad was an software engineer for a company and he taught me from day one "Microsoft is PURE EVIL!". So I took that into account, I started off as a tot playing NES, then after a bit we got an N64, gamecube, and now a wii.

I also own a PS2 and...

An Xbox XD
For those who just withered back in horror, In my defense I have a mac, I can't play many MMO's or online games and I can't afford a PS3 so I got a MUCH more affordable xbox with some great titles.

I happen to be playing my Xbox now and am currenly switcing off between Elder scrolls:Oblivion, and Mirrors edge.

I have also learned all games by bethesda are utterly addicting @3@

"Fallout 3"
and "Elder scrolls:Oblivion".

But today I neglect the Xbox to dress up avatars XDD
I'm having some lady troubles so I've been redoing my avvies~<3
I can't wait to pimp out my avvie here, These are some VERY fine pixel ladies and gents~<3

Bah! Console gamer. xP

That being said i'm abit of a nintendo lover at times. Even if i prefer my pc, i'll raid my brother's system to play the occasional nintendo game. :3

Your still playing mirrors edge? :O? All my friends and brother who played it says it takes less then a day from begining to end. Looks pretty but makes little sence and is short as.

I never got into oblivion, it's a mmorpg isn't it? Not really my feild. : )

Mirrors edge has a beautiful theme and the art is just stunning, I love the colors and scenery in the game. Its like "Grungy old building stuff" <-- lets make things really bright and have lots of blues and reds and now its pretty again Happy ~<3

But yeah, I fail at games where I have to scale walls.. Like Prince of persia 0x0

But if you get a chance to check out the music for the game, its very relaxing to draw to =) for me at least~

Oblivions an action rpg...ish, no MMO but it really has a Dungeons and dragons feel which turned me off at first, But its a very expansive and detailed game~ with a good plot and design! I feel like I'm reading a book XD

If you couldn't tell the art of videogames fascinates me ~
well.. all art fascinates me, I've just found my favorite kinds are videogame and fashion artwork~

What sort of games are you into =) if its ok for me to ask~

Hi Hiroku =)

I like to talk ~ cept I tend to end up ranting or losing my focus on debates cause I end up confusing myself with ideas ^^;;

But hopefully that won't detour you from chatting with me!
If I get off subject just beat me with a pillow and I'll get back on task @.@~

Care to share any interests Hiroku~?

Hi Embla ;D
I'm Tieru, Tie, or Teal, whichever you prefer.

I am really into art and other cultures. My friends usually tease because I've been reading a lot of "how to learn -insert foreign language here-" books. Some people say I should become a linguist, which I think sounds fun 8D I am also very much into Greek and Japanese mythology.

More on the art side, I draw, sing, and act, with drawing being my favorite. I have some stuff if you wanna see, but it's mainly more of an anime style, so I'm not sure wether you'd like it or not. I've been drawing ever since kindergarten, and have(hopefully) only been improving. I have been the newbie, the n00b, whatever you feel like calling it. It was not fun. Hopefully I have grown out of it by now, which I presume to be true |D;;

I like videogames, but more for the art and music than the fighting, so you could probably guess I'm a RPG kind of girl xD. My favorite game would have to be Ookami for it's breathtaking traditional japanese styled graphics, adorable plot, and mythological references.

So how about you?

I dunno mirror's edge was abit too bright for me, but it's atleast a departure from the normal "grunge" of modern games.

Turned off by likeness to dnd!??!! Your insane! I love dnd. YOU FAIL! >: (

I don't really have a type of gamer so to speak. Probably closest to a retro gamer, but i play modern games too on occasion so i dunno.

Favourite Table Top Games: Magic: The Gathering, DnD, monopoly ;D

Favourite PC Game Series: Diablo, Starcraft, Unreal Tournament, Command and Conquor, Early Age of Empires (the most recent one was shit), various other things.

Favourite Console Games: Mario 64 & the new expanded ds version, mario kart series, super smash series, zelda the ocarina of time, Starfox for the N64, uhhh stuff? xD *is nintendo's bitch* Oh and the odd FF game.

Art is awsome, but it has to be ballenced by purpose. I love the old school art becuase it really shows the limitations they were working under and how some people got around them. :3

LOL I DO fail XD But~ You'll be happy to know, that if I end up meeting with this friend of mine someday we plan to try D and D together ~
It was a turn off for typical reasons, people always portray it as what the "Basement dwelling nerds" play, and sadly I believed it. Untill one day I picked up a gamecube game called Baulders gate dark alliance and I became addicted to it while it lasted. I looked on the cover and found out it was a D&D game ~ and suddenly became interested, I was already a kid addicted to fantasy novels and movies so my mom really didn't want me to play D: so I dropped it cause I was a good girl and listened to my mom~

Then a few years later I found a fantasy novel stashed away in the young adults section. It intrigued me and I bought the first two books in the series..
RE-ADDICTED , I learned they where actually D&D books~
I loved the way they where written, I felt like I was watching an RPG unfold XDD

So yes, I was turned off by oblivions D&D look because at the time I was addicted to shooters and post apoclyptic worlds ~ Throwing a game at me with knights and swords and orcs and elves was a large step from the games I had been playing.

BUT Oh My GOSH I LOVE LOVE LOVE it,
if you have a PC or Xbox, I would reccomend it -nods-
So much freedom of gameplay~ Cept I decided to be a boring old human XDD The whole awesome lady knight thing appeals to me fore some reason ~<3~

The only card games I ever played where *thinks* Digimon, pokemon, Yugioh, and Magi nation XD cept I never took the time to get good at any of them.

I wanna try Diablo @3@ But I told myself that I need to wait till summer before I decide to hole up in my room and play games all day ~ Still have college duties to attend to~

And all those N64 games you listed I've played, loved each and every one!
None of the new starfoxes compared to the N64 one , but thats just my personal opinion~

I enjoy looking at oldschool art aswell, as an artist, and art appreciator , most any type of art appeals.. except a few pieces that I can't look at long enough to process there meaning, purpose , or emotion. Like this one guy.. he cuts animals in half and puts them in some sort of liquid and sets them next to each other so you can see all there insides. Which Seems like it would be VERY interesting but I usually can't stomach it long enough to really look. That and I was a little upset he cut a baby cow in half VxV<-- wimp

Hiroku: I think you and me will get along just fine XDD

I want a sword ;3; They took away our the store in the mall that sold blades of all sorts and weapons. Now all we have is this asian import store which is nice but expensive none the less. and they don't sell throwing knives I don't think or the vast variety of blades the other store had @3@

Your a me? XD
A WILD ME APPEARED~ <-- sorry had too (pokemon reference)

I'm funny in my mind =D *laughs at self*

Think we have a text-waller here! Hehe!

It's great to find interesting welcome posts though, so welcome!

Though I grew up with computers since my dad works with them all day, so I had no real choice there heh. I did move onto the Playstation when it came out though, with games like Spyro. I have a Playstation 2 now and my Xbox 360 which I adore.

I hate the kind of mindless shooting/action games, I have to hve a non-linear roleplay, like Oblivion and Fable.

What is Mirror's Edge about? Is it a linear game? You know only one quest line, or is it like Oblivion where you can go all over the place, do millions of quests and no real 'levels'?

I also play World of Warcraft, but only because my fiancee does heh.

Hi Venri! =D Tis a pleasure to meet you!
And yeah, mindless action shooters are a pain.. but resident evil 4 changed all that for me. I liked interacting with my enviorment Cool and the story behind it~ So I opened up and found a few good shooters I liked ~
You would like Fallout 3 Wink Made by Bethesda and has VERY similar gameplay as Oblivion (they even borrowed alot of the noises and commands). And you can pick your weapon, either guns or stuff you can beat people violently with (one of them being a sword).

You played oblivion~!
Could I be so bold as to inquire about your characters race and class and how you approch the game?
I'm epic fail XD <-- tried for an easy "lets avoid the main plot" life.

Mirrors edge is action firs person, and a shooter all in one XD You could even call it a sport game since they have been trying to make Parkour increasingly popular.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour

Its actually pretty neat, and not as hard to play as you would think ^^ I am scared of heights though so when she falls from a building I close my eyes @3@

If games make you dizzy , this one may D;

PS;
I don't know if anyone has an answer for this but its been bugging me, How is it that there is only 5- or 6 members on at a time and we have almost 1000 registered users.... did alot of people just decide not to play?
