I've noticed these a bit ago and was going to inquire, but then got distracted, so uhm... I'm afraid to click them, but what do they do?

It is a PVP attack link, you click on one for the person you want to attack and it takes you to the PvP page where you battle them. Just don't click the one under you avatar or else you'd be considered cheating!

    Noticed... what?

    Attack [user]? It ... attacks the user xD

    You start a battle with that user, much like the battle against monsters.

    Only you don't get experience or currency for it.
    (At least, I didn't. I felt it was a big waste)

If you could get money from PvP then people would abuse it and battle themselves(battle their mules).
