Kruth'al's head hurt so bad. He had managed to dive away from the dwarf before the explosion, but only just. He got up, and looked around at everyone, He saw the unconcious Nami who looked seriously hurt. Then looking at the elf he saw him take a nose dive when he found out he was missing his eye. It seems the ghost was actually trying to help, thats good atleast.

Swaying on his feet, and heeding the Major's orders, he refused to fall. He pushed himself to keep on his feet as he managed to get over to Nami. Looking at the major and then back at the unconcious body, he bent over(which almost sent him over again) and picked her up and plopped her unceremoniously over his shoulder. He then did the same thing for the elf.

Holding on to two bodies, he stumbled. Pushing through the haziness, and going on just pure wilpower, he started walking down the tunnel again, calling back, "Are you coming, I don't know how much longer I can even move, let alone carry people."

"Wait," Morinth said firmly, grabbing Grandoul's shoulder as he turned away, "Give O'Toole a minute. Fainting spells are generally over in a matter of seconds. Also, Shay shouldn't be jostled too much just yet,, and frankly neither should you, so just slow down." From her first aid kit, Morinth fished a couple of instant ice-packs and shoved one at the troll. He'd need to ice that face to bring the swelling down. As for the elf...it looked superficial, but he needed to get a bandage over it so it didn't get infected.

"They'll be fine," Morinth said to young Price, "Just a little banged up. Nothing vital brok-"

Morinth barely saw the third dwarf over Kruth’al’s shoulder. Without thinking, she grabbed the troll’s horn and wrenched him to the side, leaping forward. She managed to pull out her taser and launch the electrodes into the charging dwarf’s face before spinning out of his way.
She had a half of second of the horrible realization that she had done something very, very wrong as the dwarf’s third arm arched into view before the stone hand closed tight around her wrist. Too tight. Far too tight.

The taser dropped from her fingers as bones splintered in her arm. Morinth swallowed her pain, and with a fierce desperation, clawed her dagger from her belt and stabbed, the blade digging deep into the dwarf’s eyes. Screeching in pain and confusion the dwarf swung around, his club aiming for Morinth’s captured arm. She ducked as far as she could, but the club hit her forearm. A moment of awful, ripping pain and Morinth was free. In a movement more out of reflex and habit than actual thought, she spun, lashing out with her dagger. The point shoved its way deep into the dwarf’s skull, which was good enough to kill it within seconds. Satisfied, Morinth scrambled away and collapsed against a cave wall, the pain in her arm unbearable. Despite the fact that she could still feel her right hand, clenching and unclenching, she could see it, ten feet away, still in a death-grip by the dwarf.

There was a part of Morinth’s brain that told her to move, to get the first aid kit, to do something besides squeezing her arm to cut the circulation off, but the vast majority was too enthralled by pain and shock to do anything for the moment.

Discipline and training took over, though, and Morinth muscled her way to her feet.

“Grab their grenades,” she ground out, “We’re leaving. Now.” Without looking back, she started walking.

Tay had run as much as she could away from the explosion, but she still was knocked down, her ears buzzing in protest from the sound. She rubbed the back of her neck where a stray rock had nailed her. Scrambling to her feet, she sighed as she looked at her now broken lantern. "Great," she grumbled, heading back over to the rest of the group.

Clearly the broken lantern was the least of their troubles. She quickly took in the unconscious mage, the (also unconscious) one-eyed elf, and the dead dwarf with three hands, one of which clearly was not his. Her eyes sought out Ava, who appeared, for the most part, unharmed. It appeared only she, Ava, and the ghost were completely unharmed.

"Great," she repeated. At Morinth's command, she grabbed the belt of grenades from the nearest dwarf, avoiding the hand it held in a death grip...literally. She tried to strap it around her waist, but it was far too wide; she settled for crossing it over her chest, opposite her quiver of arrows.

She followed behind the Major, looking at the bloody stump of her wrist. "Major...we need to do something about that," she said, almost hesitantly.

Skaeth sat, completely unfazed by the gore, but a little rattled by the way people were handling it.

"You all good?" They asked, not knowing what else they could possibly say or do to help.

The sudden clamor caused Relgan to jump up with a start. "It's not over yet?" He slipped onto his feet and rolled his neck a few times. He put a hand to his face. Yep. Eyeless. "I wonder what kind of embroidered eyepatch I could get for this?" He muttered. Hey, he always found a way to look on the bright side of every situation. Even when he came home from vacation with his older sister to find out that his house was a crime scene, he found a positive spin on it. He couldn't quite remember what it was not, but it softened the blow for him a little bit.

Relgan looked around and saw the Major's hand... well.. not on her body. This was a little more gore than he was used to dealing with on a daily basis. The best thing he could do at this moment is what everyone else was doing- getting the hell out of there. He'd worry about bandaging his eye when there was time to rest.

Ava scrambled backwards as the unforeseen dwarf attacked Morinth. She heard the nasty crunch of bone as the hand was ripped from her arm. 'Oh my god', she mouthed unable to produce any sound. What if that had been her?! She didn't want to lose a hand.. or worse..

It had just occurred to her that throughout all the fighting she had completely forgotten about her bow and arrows, or the knife in her pocket. That made her feel pretty darn useless... but what do they expect her to do? Why was she even on this mission? She was just going to hold everyone back.

So far she was lucky, but she decided that next time she'd put up a fight rather than cower in a corner. She adjusted the quiver of arrows on her back and followed everyone down the tunnel.

Kruth'al let the elf go when he woke up. No use holding on to him, But he didn't like Nami go. She was in bad condition, and prob would not wake up way past when he passed out. So cradling her body alittle more confortably on his shoulder.

He looked around for Ava. Thank the gods she was unharmed! "I am so happy you are alright. What happened to you in the fight, I lost you when I got trampled."

Looking at the ghost naga he said, "We are as good as we can be for now. Lets keep moving."

He walked, carrying Nami, down the tunnel into deeper darkness. Thinking to himself, This was only one little fight, what happens if there are more.

"Oh yeah.. I'm ok" she said rubbing her arm and looking down at the tunnel floor. 'Sorry I was no help.' she didn't say.

"I'm just glad nobody is dead." she muttered.

Morinth was certainly looking a little pale, but she carried on gamely, glaring forward. She took note of the general health of the rest of the party. She'd expected Price to be unharmed, considering the girl's age and probably cowardice, but Manor's lack of involvement was troubling. When they stopped, the major would have to go over basic combat expectations.

She heard the human's comment as if from far away, and answered after a moment of dazed thought.

"Yes, we probably do," Greyscale agreed, "Although we can't do it while walking, and I'm...probably not going to fall over from blood loss just yet, so it can wait. On that thought...everyone, keep an eye out for a small cave or depression in the wall to rest. If we don't find a good place soon, we'll just...stop in the middle of the tunnel, I guess." Generally not something Morinth was willing to do, but she knew that if she pressed on, the group would collapse under its own weight. Literally.

Nami slowly began to stir. She blinked trying to look around but was unable to see much of anything in the dark tunnel. It would seem all the light was ahead of where she was which seemed to be over Kruth'als shoulder.

"I think I can walk now." She said after a bit longer of being carried down the tunnel. She figured it was better to attempt walking now than continue to be carried. Her injury's didn't seem to be all that bad that she could tell without a light of some sort. He head was throbbing, her ribcage hurt and she figured she had at least one or two broken ones, plus the burns on her arms and face stung like hell. She would have to survey the full damage done to her when she got a light again.

Kruth'al was feeling alittle woozy. He was glad that the Major was calling for everyone to look a side tunnel to rest. Finnally he answered Ava, "No one is dead yet. But do not worry little one you will live as long as I do. I promise this."

Hearing the faint whispers from his shoulder he realized Nami had woken up. He wished he could put her down. "Nami, I apoligize, but I can not put you down. Right now I am using all my energy to move forward and if i stop I may not be able to move again. You are also not in any shape to jump off. So just enjoy the ride and drift back to sleep. I will wake you when we stop."

Tay frowned a little, concerned for...well, pretty much everyone. Kruth'al wasn't looking too great, and carrying Nami couldn't have been helping him very much. Relgan seemed to be taking his missing eye rather well, but as for Ava, she seemed, well, shaken to say the least.

As for Morinth...

Before she could finish her thought, Tay spotted a tunnel off to the side. "Major, look, there's a little side tunnel." She hurried over and glanced down it. It was a short dead-end sort of tunnel, but rather wide. More of a cave than a tunnel, she supposed. "Will this work?"

Still feeling a little more than completely useless, Skaeth walked behind the wounded sort of twiddling their thumbs.

Morinth glanced up at Manor's call. It wasn't the best, but it'd do. She veered to the left, somehow managing to stay upright. She found a small outcropping of boulders that offered some cover and made an executive decision.

"We're staying here for the night," she announced, "Let's get me, Shay, and O'Tool patched up, then set up tents. Or...something." Morinth sat down heavily, still tightly holding her arm.

"Don't wander too far," she said, "There're people prowling around and if you run into them alone you're dead." With that, Morinth started trying to reach for the first aid kit on her belt, but found it impossible to reach considering she needed to be holding on to her arm with her good hand to cut off circulation. Her jaw tensed, and she breathed a slow, angry sigh.

"Can someone get the first aid kit on my belt? And open it?"

Ava scanned the group, most of them distracted by the Major's orders. She really wanted to call Sam and tell him what was going on. She didn't want to be here, and even though she doubted he could get her out of this, she needed reassurance.

She walked and sat right next to the entrance of the cave and pulled the phone out of her waistband. The glow of the phone shone bright on her face. Pursing her lips she tested hitting different buttons until she saw the name "Sam" she tapped it, and then hit another button that looked like a phone. It began to ring.

"Come on pick up.." Ava mumbled to herself, looking around every so often to make sure nobody was spying or trying to attack her.
