| Heh, it's not that hard, really. But repeatedly melting the chocolate makes it really unstable...I'm still working on figuring out the white chocolate, since it seems to turn more into a crumble than a paste or liquid...Especially after I add the maple syrup.

You make it sound like a science XD
-suddenly has an image of Kacey in a lab coat stirring a pot of melted chocolate over a Bunsen Burner-
Heh, that'd actually be really fun!

| Cooking is chemistry, dontcha know. 'Course, i prefer explody chemistry, like making TNT in the middle of an experiment. I did things perfectly correctly, TNT was supposed to be one if the things you make before turning it into something else...without exploding it, unfortunately. *sob*

| Cooking and baking are a combination of art and science. It's just that if you do it right, you get yummy results to eat~
Of course, my little brother would tell you that I'm more likely to be a mad scientist...And he'd say that he's my minion. We joke that I'm the evil mastermind and he's my henchman. One of my black cats even likes to sit in my lap when I'm in my spinny computer chair so I can just sit there, petting her, and turn slowly to face my door with an evil grin on my face! XD
And a hot plate would probably be more effective than a Bunsen burner...It'd distribute the heat more evenly.

| Kathira: O.O that sounds... dangerous. I'm almost afraid to ask, but... what was the final product supposed to be?
Kacey: The turning around thing reminds me of a scene in Austin Powers. But the stroking of the cat reminds me of the villain in the Inspector Gadget cartoon years back.
...
...
Wow she is a mad scientist!
A hot plate probably would be more effective, but in a stereotypical image of the mad scientist all you see are tubes and smoke coming from tubes, and burners. Never see a hot plate.

| True, Gataki, true. It's all for show, really. I'll let you in on a secret: Mad scientists are all about the showmanship. They usually do use the tubes and burners when people are watching, but they've just got to show off for everyone else, so they only use the hot plates in private, when they know nobody's looking.
Besides, I don't even use the stove or melt the chocolate properly. I use the microwave. XD That's probably why it's so hard to figure out why the chocolate melts weird.
I just remembered, another site I go on had a mad scientist-themed event a while back, and there was an evil-laugh competition that I entered. Anyone want to hear my disturbing laugh?

| Laugh, laugh!
Don't forget, mad science is also technicolour, with all chemicals being bright colours that are more likely to be water with food colouring added. Real science uses far more colourless fluids than mad science.
The final product was far less dangerous. The experiment was, at it's heart, adding Tollen's reagent to an aldehyde--a string of carbon atoms with hydrogens attached to most, but with a double-bonded oxygen on one end as well--as a way of demonstrating how the test for aldehydes works. The TNT was produced as a middleman in making Tollen's reagent, so it didn't last long, then we added the aldehyde and got the insides of our test tubes covered in silver. I still have mine from doing that, perfectly harmless, the tube is what mirrors are, really. Silver on one side of glass.

| Alright, alright, here ya go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sdG5loHlUE Yes, I really did start coughing for real, since I was sick at the time. It was still before the HLH, though. Late June, actually. I seem to be sick a lot...

| Kacey, your laugh sounds like you're having so much fun! And that's great for Big Bads, really. And don't worry about the coughing, it's done in other media for a few quick laughs too. Eggman's laugh in Colours devolves into coughing at one point, if my memory serves.
Mock, that echo and your deep voice makes your laugh genuinly scary! You should totally do voice-overs. Totally.
I have no microphone, so you'll never hear my evil laughter. That said, I don't have to 'evil laugh for the sake of an evil, most of the time. My laughs at jokes or something mildly bad happening to someone else (usually Dad) are usually quite evil sounding, and I once laughed at a joke my friend Dan told and he looked at me funny, because said laugh sounded quite evil on it's own! It's a gift.
Also, Mock, I am loving your new avatar, though may I suggest a white shirt? Otherwise, very dapper. I've actually got a rather dapper avatar lined up for when Halloween's over, too, though without the monocle. Can't stand monocles, unless they're covering bee stings on Animal Crossing.

| I did rather enjoy myself. It helped that I was loopy with lack of sleep. XD And many years ago, we discovered that I have a terrifying hysterical laugh that I can't imitate. The first time I went on a roller coaster...I terrified my friend with that laugh, and it only happened that one time. It wasn't screaming or a normal laugh or anything. It was...Insane. That's really the only way to describe it. It was the kind of laughter that only someone beyond normal insanity could produce.
Mock, you have an awesome laugh.

k... catch up:
Kathira: I can't believe I understood all the science talk you used O.O normally chem is something I avoid.
re: mad scientists - Kacey, you, Mock, and Kathira would make a fantastic mad scientist team. Though I've never seen them work in a group of three before. /catchup
