Another Newbie

This seems to be the thing to do, so Hi! I'm Mock (yes, that is my real name), and as of writing this I am a floating pair of eyes. Umm, self-introduction... I love Music, so much I always have to capitalise it when typing. I like all Music, regardless of genre or style or competence of performer. I'm an amateur composer/arranger and I'm taking an Audio degree at the Polytechnic. One day I hope to compose and arrange the Music for movies, like Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer.

Wow, I actually managed to say a lot. Anyway, I found this place via an ad on MS Paint Adventures (on which Homestuck is featured), so we may have a few more visitors.

Hehe, no, I deliberately neglected to add the rest of my body. I haven't bought any clothes or hairstyles yet, so I just picked my favourite eyes and peeked through the invisibility cloak. :P

Hrm...Mr./Ms. Mock would you prefer then? ...It's easier just to write Mock though to be honest. xD

As for the music I play...Well, it varies. I know some of the classics, such as On Top of Old Smokey, but...My favorite song is Neko Funjatta (or in English, Flea Waltz/I Stepped on the Cat). It's sorta polka-like to me and very upbeat. Simple, but nice. Ah, I used to know a few rock song accompaniments too...But can't remember them much anymore x-o

Sorry for the confusion, I am a guy. I use "Mr Mock" on some other accounts that require longer usernames, but you can call me Mock if you like.

I used to be able to sort-of play a whole bunch of songs, but I've forgotten most of them, and now I can only play my own or my brother's songs (even then only some of them). I've been focusing on writing songs, but I'm running on empty in the lyrics department. :/

What's with the Mystery Box, by the way? Can I open it, or is it just there for the sake of being there?

Also, what does that exclamation mark button under someone's avatar do? I'm afraid to click it to find out.

If you go to your inventory and select the Mystery Box and choose "Use" you can open it for currency or items. :]

And that will make you challenge the user to a battle.

You can open it by clicking on it so you get it, then going to your inventory and selecting it and pressing use. You get one every day for free! It gives various things too. Nifty thing it is~

As for the exclamation button, I'm guessing it's some sort of report tool. Never actually tried it.

Unlike you, I'm the opposite. I always come up with random lyric ideas, but I can't write music myself. Then again, I can't read it either...xD
