...-nags Icey- I sort of want Blaine and Beau to be friends. ._. Or at least acquaintances, since he's so shy. Maybe they were scholars at the same time to some random bard? -flails- Not that it matters, because I have no idea what kind of personality she'll have yet. xD

Sure, they can be friends, or, at least, know each other ^^ Beau needs someone to stop him from hiding under a rock all the time and force him to be a bit more social anyways XD

Name: Elkin

Nickname(s): None, but feel free to give him one

Gender: Male

Herd: Hallowind

Guild & Class: Shaman healer

Quirks: Loves anything purple and fresh berries; dislikes being dirty.

Relatives: Steusia, Elkin's mother, was a healer. She spent most of her time rasing her son and taking care of the herd's members. When Elkin was old enough to follow her, she started to show him everything a healer needs to know. His father was named Carteus, and he was a soldier. His son and he were never really close, since his dad spent a lot of time doing whatever it was a soldier did, but their relation wasn't especially bad. Both his parents died a few years ago, his father first, badly wounded in a raid, and then his mother, dying from sickness around a year after. Elkin also has one aunt and two uncles on his father's side, and one uncle on his mother's side, each with a few kids, although he isn't especially close to any of them.

Personality: Elkin is a gentle and quiet centaur. He grew up spending most of his time alone or with his mother, leaving him a bit socially awkward around other centaurs. He doesn't hate being around others, but large crowds make him a bit nervous, and chatting isn't really his forte. Nevertheless, he will try to act in a friendly manner toward most people, unless they have been really rude to him before. He loves listening to birds and spending time around nature. His mother has always insisted on the importance of being clean, because dirt can easily contaminate wounds, which in the end has made him somewhat of a neat freak.

Biography: Elkin was a quiet child, spending most of his time chasing butterflies and picking flowers for his mother. He learned at a young age that plants had many uses, mostly because he followed his mother when she went to gather her medicinal herbs. Having spent most of his young life with her, becoming a healer was a no-brainer to him. He sometimes felt that his father wasn't completely happy with his choice, but they never talked openly about it. Time past and he learned enough to become an independent healer, although he kept working with his mother and other healers, preferring to follow their directions rather than taking his own decisions. The lost of both of his parents have made him realized how important a healer's role was and he decided to spend more time looking after the herds and finding new ways to help them.

Ok after posting with her a couple of times I was able to come up with an idea for Nuria. Here is her profile yay.

Name:Nuria
Nickname(s):Nu, Nuri
Gender:Female
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: warrior/ protector
Quirks: Hate’s pumpkin’s. Only speaks when spoken to first in most situations.
Relatives: Nuria never knew her parents they were both killed in a battle of some sort when she was very young. She was however adopted by a very nice couple and they treated her as if she was their own. Nowasha and Veila are her mother’s and have always been that in her eyes. Even if they told her stories of her real parents and how brave they were she always felt that they themselves were truly her parents. Maybe because they treated her as their daughter no matter what. Nowasha is a healer though she is becoming too old to do much of what she was once able to do. She still trains the younger healers on how to tell the difference between a medicinal herd and a poisonous one. Veila was a protector and still would be if it wasn’t for the fact that she went blind. Both women still treat Nuria as if she was their very own and are very proud of her choice to become a protector.
Personality: Nuria is a bit standoffish ok she’s a lot standoffish. She prefers not to speak unless spoken to first. She also kindave spaces out when she’s not on watch or training. She’s not really shy seeing as she will talk to anyone in the tribe mostly.
Biography: Not ever having known her parents Nuria grew up being adopted. Though it never stopped her from loving her mother’s as if they were her real parents in the first place. She became a protector like her mother Veila always preferring archery to looking for herbs all the time. This didn’t faze her mother Nowasha at all in fact both women wouldn’t have cared what path she chose as long as she was happy. She is now a fully fledged protector mostly keeping watch over the area that the herd sets up camp prepared to defend everyone at a moment’s notice.

Name: Lynette
Nickname(s): Lynn
Gender: Female
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: Crux, Merchant
Quirks: Lynn is red-green colorblind, and has a palm sized burn on her left side/back that she tends to hide with her clothes. When she's nervous she grabs the end of her half-jacket and rubs the clothing between her fingers.
Relatives: Lynn's parents were Amaryllis (Amary) and Hector. Both of her parents were merchants and traveled together to other herds. Her mother died when Lynn was a child, and her father Hector lived until a year ago due to old age. It wasn't a shocking event, and Lynn had be prepared for it. Lynn's aunt Carissa (Hector's sister) acted as a mother figure after her mother past away.
Personality: Lynn is a bit shy around male centaurs her age if they are being flirty or forawrd, but she isn't afraid to speak her mind. Normally, around strangers shes a bit reserved so that she can get used to them and vice versa, but once she knows you, she's more outgoing and happy. She loves taking care of younger children, and secretly can't wait to have her own.
Biography: When Lynn was a young child, she would often go traveling with her parents to different towns to get a sense of the area around her and the merchant lifestyle. After her mother passed away, her father decided to leave Lynn back with the herd more often so she would be able to socialize with other children. Lynn's burn on her left side happened when she was younger, and her father was out of town. She likes to keep what happened a secret until she really knows someone, which isn't hard to do considering barely anyone even sees it.

One down, one to go! Happy

Aaaaand a bio for Thabrix!

Name: Thabrix
Nickname(s): None
Gender: Male
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: Crux worker (Herder and Weaver)
Quirks: While Thabrix refuses to talk to most other Centaurs, he is extremely talkative to sheep, telling them all of his problems.
Relatives: Thabrix is the only child of Keltair and Anali, two Hallowind protectors. Other than that, he has no other known relatives, as they were both only children as well. Keltair is very sociable and teaches young centaurs the art of combat. He tried teaching his son when he was younger, but the colt didn’t really take to it. His mother, on the other hand, though also being a protector, enjoyed the arts and wanted to be a bard. She realized, though, that she had little talent with words and went on to become what her parents groomed her to be- a protector like them.
Personality: Thabrix is soft-spoken, sweet, and generous. He is always willing to try and help others with their problems, but they have to ask him for help, as he is not much of a talker and is kind of shy. Trying to get him to engage in casual conversation is like talking to a wall and will mostly be met with silence, and maybe a one-word response if he’s in a mood to socialize.
Biography: Thabrix has always been a very quiet child, as he was one of the last children in his age group to actually get the grasp of words. He had very few friends because of this, but he didn’t mind that. His mother and father had very different ideas when it came to how they were raising their child. His father groomed him to join both of them as a protector, while his mother wanted him to be free to choose his own path. This caused Thabrix much stress, so he spent lots of time away from them.
It was in those times away where he found the sheep. Hallowind’s flock was a small one, but they fascinated him. He became good friends with the old worker in charge of the sheep, and he started teaching the colt how to care for them and weave the wool to make fabric for the tailors. He also found a friend among the flock- a small black ewe that he named Etyl. When he came of age, he surprised both of his parents with his choice to join the guild of Crux as a worker. He took his place as herder and now spends most of his days with the sheep.

EDIT: Do I HAVE to be full-grown to join this? It doesn't actually say anything in the rules (that I noticed anyway, so there could be something) and I'm impatient as hell

I couldn't sleep...sooo, have a profile? Sweat It might suck...'cause, hey, it's late...but I tried. xD; Oh, and I would totally do a guy like Silas. >_>;

Name: Silas
Nickname(s): Silas has no nicknames currently. Feel free to give him any as you see fit.
Gender: Male
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: Warrior, soldier
Quirks: Although he may not appear so at first glance, Silas is quite an avid learner. Much of his free time is dedicated to reading and studying whatever happens to cross his mind at the time (a lot of which happens to be history); yet he still manages to portray an air of good-natured intellectual indifference. Also, even though Silas can sit still when it is required, he is quite fidgety at heart; sometimes, for no apparent reason, he will play with his wrist straps or necklace, flip his hair out of his face, clap his hands, stamp his hoof, and just generally tinker about. He is also a HUGE flirt...with pretty much everyone...no exceptions.
Relatives: Athos, father. Dec. Silas has no real memory of his father, who died when Silas was very young. Freya, mother. Silas is very close to his mother, having been raised predominately by her his whole life. Sorcia, aunt. Sorcia, the late Athos’s sister, helped to raise Silas during his formative years, she and her daughter Belinha remain very close to Silas and his mother. Belinha, cousin. Belinha is Silas’s cousin, being a few years younger than he and having no siblings of her own, she has always looked up to him as sort of a big brother, even becoming a protector in his shadow. Silas is more than happy to play the part of an older brother to Belinha. Although not technically related, it is widely speculated that Amon’zal is something of a significant other to Silas. Silas has neither confirmed nor denied this, as he finds it a trivial matter for anyone else to be concerned with.
Personality: At first glance, Silas is a typical soldier; he is loud and boisterous, quick-witted on his feet, and tough. However, there is more to Silas than meets the eye. For one thing, he loves history and art; so much so that he had briefly thought about becoming a bard before finally settling on being a protector when he was younger.
Under a brash and often-times impetuous nature, he is kind-hearted, thorough and very thoughtful. He is, at his core, a thinker, though he chooses to be seen as someone who acts first, usually; however, all of his actions are carefully planned, and something is always going on just beneath the surface.
There is a lot of duality to be seen in Silas. For instance, even though he is a bit of a braggart at times, he is generally good-natured and accepting; although he will often affect an appearance of fun-loving nonchalance, he is secretly a bit of a worrier (which can be seen in his tendency to fidget and not sit still.) Although Silas is friendly to just about everyone, he only truly gives his trust to a select few. (As a side-note: Amon’zal is one of those few. :O )
Biography: Silas’s father, Athos (a respected merchant), died when he was very young; as such, Silas has very little memory of him, just that he was strong and quiet. Athos’s sister Sorcia and Silas’s mother, Freya, raised him to the best of their abilities. However, without any kind of father-figure (or any real male influence) in his life, Silas often felt like he was missing something despite his mother’s and aunt’s best efforts.
As a young child, Silas spent much of his time listening to stories and songs of the past, as told by his mother the bard. This influence led to his love of history and song, so much so that he thought of becoming a bard himself. That is until one day he chanced upon a shy boy, Amon’zal, in the herd whom he had never met before; the two became fast friends. However, it was obvious to Silas that the boy was not very strong, and driven by a need to protect his new friend (and those in the herd like him) as well as to fill the void left by his father, Silas decided to become a protector. He never looked back or regretted his decision, though he kept his love of story and song. After becoming a protector, Silas rose to soldier fairly quickly; the job seemed such a perfect fit that not even those closest to him questioned the motivations that may have brought him to that point.

Sorry if it's a bit long...I tend to do that. Expect more whenever I can't sleep again. So, soon probably. Hai Maybe this means soon I'll get off my ass and actually post in the RP. >.>;

I dunno about the rules, but I think the main reason why babies were role-played in the shop thread was that it would look weird if they suddenly grow up in the real role-play. Wink

Name: Aon
Nickname(s): None.
Gender: Male
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: Crux merchant
Quirks: Self-conscious of his stomach, is a sympathetic sneezer

Relatives: Aon only has one sibling, his brother Noa. His mother, a guard, and his father, a forager, were in another herd (than Hallowind). When Shota started Hallowind, he asked the twin's mother if she would join him, and she sent Aon and Noa instead, who were both protectors at the time. Aon became a merchant shortly after.

Personality: Aon is charismatic and laid back, and he enjoys spending his free time sparring with his brother or eating. He's surprisingly good at his job for having never had a mentor, and loves traveling around despite the hazards. He's generally outgoing, and knows how to exude confidence or make others feel comfortable, which are reasons why he makes a good merchant.

He's more grounded than his twin brother, and a bit more book smart, but he lived his life in his brother's shadow, since Noa is both older and more handsome. Because of this, Aon has some insecurities about himself. He does very well to get over these obstacles with most people, but anyone close to him gets to see his more uncertain side.

Biography: Aon's father was always very gentle and forgiving, but didn't quite understand how to deal with children. His mother was more adequate at the job, but was often busy with herd matters or teaching other kids. As such, Noa and Aon were usually left to their own devices. Noa took advantage of his three minutes seniority to boss Aon around, which, having inherited his father's disposition, he humbly allowed. Yet anyone who looked deeper would notice that Aon tended to be the leader of the two, often correcting his brother's orders ("I shouldn't clean the dishes yet, I should get lunch together.") and being the one who came forward to take responsibility for mishaps or troubles they caused.

Both boys became willing protectors, and Aon quickly absorbed all the strategies for different attacks and defenses. But Noa was strong and nimble, and tended to win more practice fights simply by instinctive skill. Most of the herd was too enthralled with the obvious talents that Noa got from his mother to ever have much comment about Aon during dinner conversations. Aon didn't mind, though, and was happy just to hear his mentor's praise of when and how he had improved.

Both Aon and Noa were on the verge of joining the soldier's ranks when their mother told them that Shota was looking for protectors to join his herd. Aon had always loved new adventures and stories, and agreed immediately. His brother, not willing to part with Aon, agreed as well. But as Hallowind grew and got more protectors, they still didn't have any merchants, who were (are) essential to obtaining and maintaining alliances with other herds. Aon, of course, volunteered to leave the Warrior guild and become a Crux.

Mmkay, I'll put Jax's profile up now, while I actually have it around.

Name: Jaxim
Nickname(s): Jax
Gender: Male
Herd: Hallowind
Guild & Class: Shaman Bard
Quirks: Prefers drawing pictures in response to question instead of actually speaking, loves blackberries
Relatives: Jaxim is the only son of two mothers, Seneca (a worker) and Hazel (a forager). He has three older sisters, Kaylee, Saffi, and Leea, all of whom are protectors. Yea, a lot of girls. His sisters were influenced by his uncle, Jace, who was also a soldier, but doesn’t fight anymore because of his rather advanced age. Jace is the brother of Hazel. Jaxim isn’t extremely close with any of his relatives (well, he’s as close as any family member, but he doesn’t go out of his way to stay with anyone), and spends a lot of his time trying to get away from his sisters. Jace recently adopted a daughter with his partner (not really wife, because they don’t get married), Vin’Dorai, giving Jaxim yet ANOTHER female relative.
Personality: Jaxim is wildly curious about the things off in the distance, and completely bored and ignorant of the things right around him. He’s fascinated with the forbidden things, and will often spend a lot of time staring off into space thinking about them. Because of this lack of focus, Jax often zones out, but through long practice has learned how to look as if he’s paying attention. If you want Jax’s attention, be prepared to call his name a few times. Jax is extremely quiet, rarely using his words. He prefers to converse using the art supplies in his bag, often drawing out scenarios with enough speed and skill that the habit isn’t massively annoying to those around him. The only time you can get Jax to speak in any amount is around a campfire, telling a story.
Biography:When Jax was born, his parents were overjoyed to FINALLY have a boy in the family (besides Jace…he doesn’t count). They named Jaxim after Jace’s deceased twin, and Jax spent a lot of time with Jace. One time, at Jace’s, Jaxim found an old bag belonging to his namesake, full of art supplies. Jaxim found himself constantly next to the bag, pawing around through it, and learning to draw. Jace couldn’t resist the little foal, and gave Jaxim the bag and its contents on the promise that he wouldn’t lose or destroy it. Jaxim never left the bag after that, despite the fact that the bag was almost half his size when he inherited it.
Jax was born at the extreme tail end of the Harvest Season, and his earliest memories were of sitting around a campfire watching bards tell stories during the Dead Season, and unbeknownst to anyone else, he memorized them. Jax’s first words were the beginning of a recitation that he’d heard a week before. Jaxim’s family was surprised to hear him speak as eloquently as he did, expecting him to be a late speaker and a quiet kid. However, they soon figured out that Jaxim had no problem speaking, he just didn’t like to. Except when he was telling stories, Jaxim rarely spoke. When Jaxim tells stories, he often incorporates many characters, and can change the sound of his voice to match the personality of his characters. When asked why he didn’t like to talk, Jaxim said that he was given every voice in the world except his own. It was no surprise to anyone when Jaxim approached a bard and asked to be an apprentice.
