The next day at work was quite uneventful for Rhadamanthys. A few more schedule changes, a staff meeting, nothing of note really. Just a blur of hours and minutes.

He couldn't help but worry about how Daniel was doing. He had informed all his teachers that he would not be in school for the next few days and would need all the work that he would have to get done by his return, and they understood, putting it together and giving it to a kid that lived down the street from him for delivery. It turns out that this kid had done this job a few times for a few different reasons.

And after that, more schedule changes. He looked over at his fish, which was swimming contentedly in its bowl. It had no worries, just making its way around the bowl again and again and again. Rhadamanthys sighed. He shouldn't be worried either. The kid is most likely fine.

Daniel was currently fighting over his corner on the street alley. He was being bothered by other homeless people, eventually they stopped bothering him and let him be. He was starting to get to know a few of the people, learning how they wound up on the streets and he didn't feel like sharing his issue cause he didn't want to be sent back home.

He decided to wander around and try to get something to eat. He stopped by the school, looking up at the window by the guidance office before sighing and heading to the nearest restaurant for a quick meal. He hadn't eaten since before he left, and was pretty hungry.

Usually on Friday afternoons, Rhadamanthys helped out at a soup kitchen on fifth street. It was where he got meals when he first fell to earth, and now that he was on his feet with a house and job, he liked to go back and help the people he once spent his time with and show them that it is possible to get on your feet after life has been difficult to you. Plus, he and the minister that ran the kitchen were very good friends and he liked to come over to talk to him about how things were going with the others.

He made it there at about four o' clock to help with the setup. The food was being provided fully cooked that night by a community service club, and the workers took a little bit for their own dinners before putting the rest out. He looked around at the empty hall that would soon be full of people and smiled. It was good to know that he was helping out.

Daniel somehow managed to bum for enough money for a small lunch, though would be hungry in time to follow everyone else to the soup kitchen. He didn't know where it was so when the time came, he just followed others to it. He was so hungry by then that his guts were yelling at him to eat. He looked around until getting in line as he never knew it was like school cafeteria rules as well. When he got closer to the counter he realized the counsellor from school was there. He tried his best to hide the fact he was there as he didn't want to be taken back home.
