Ivan narrowed his eyes with every word the kid spoke. He didn't like him. He didn't like his cocky tone, nor what it implied, but he needed that information, dammit. He glared the young man down, his eyes passing from him to John, who was watching Ivan intently, and pushed himself off of the wall, arms folded. Ivan contemplated on John's expression for a moment, trying to read it after what the young man had just told him. When it didn't change, Ivan looked back at the young man, and stood up, pulling a card out of his pocket, with his contact information. It had the insignia for Cecilia Blair, as it was his tutoring card, but it worked just the same.

"Fine. There's where I can be reached. Contact me first, and I'll send you what I have from another email, so this doesn't get traced back to my school email. Make the subject something innocuous. I don't have anything hard copy except these here." He pushed the large file forward. "Feel free to go through--"

"I KNOW EXACTLY WHO HE'S WITH AND I NEED TO SEE HIM!!"

At that moment every face in the room drifted toward the one-way window, and John walked out of the room to see what the ruckus was, closing the door behind him.

"Hey, hey, HEY! The hell's goin' on here, how'd she get in here?"

"She forced her way back here, demanding to see Andrew and that prick detective, I dunno if she meant you or--"

HE KNOWS DAMN WELL WHO I'M TALKIN' ABOUT, TELL THAT PRICK TO LET ANDREW GO OR I'LL FISTFUCK THIS PLACE EVERY WAY I KNOW HOW!

Ivan sighed, and looked back at Andrew. "Andrew, huh? She moved on." Ivan walked over to the one-way and made an expression that John couldn't place, before tapping the glass. "It's all right! We're done here. He...Andrew," he turned his head back to him, then to the glass again, "can go. Do the paperwork and get him out of here." Ivan walked back to the table, staring Andrew down.

"...Be good to her. She may hate my guts, but that doesn't mean I feel the same. Fuck up and I'll hear about it, and then off ya go to the facility." The two held the glare for as long as Ivan could manage, before walking out of the door, casting one last glance over his shoulder, as if to say "Don't forget about our deal."

When Ivan walked out of the room, he found Jade up in John's face and screaming about something or other, and John was clearly losing his patience with her. Ivan sighed, and cast his glance to the floor before looking back up, speaking in a stern voice.

"Jade."

Jade stopped mid-sentence and immediately redirected her aim at the new target. "Th' fuck is he?1 Th' fuck you pick him up for?!" WHen all he did was stare back at her, she grabbed the collar of his shirt. "ANSWER ME! You act like I don't have enough shit on my plate right now, you gotta pull this shit?! You got somethin' against me now?!"

When Jade grabbed Ivan, John reacted instinctively, grabbing at her arm. "HEY! What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Ivan looked at John, exhaustion almost leaking from his eyes. He shook his head slowly, and sighed, looking down at Jade. He gingerly took one of her hands, which begrudginly loosened under his touch. He pulled it away, and did the same with the other, holding onto them for a moment or two, before letting go. He spoke to John, but didn't take his eyes off of Jade. "Did you do that paperwork like I asked you?"

"Ivan?"

"The paperwork. To let the kid go. He's clean, we can't get anything more out of him."

John looked fit to explode, but instead just gave an exasperated sigh, letting his hands hover around his head awkwardly, before letting them fall, and heading toward the front office to file the paperwork.

Ivan looked back to Jade, and then walked past her to follow John.

Jade twinged under the familiar, yet somehow, completely alien and unwanted, touch, and was reilieved when he said nothing, instead chosing to walk away. She looked toward the door, and made her way inside, slowly creaking the door open to find Andrew, drained, and slumped in the chair.

"Oh my god that fucke--I'll fuckin' hurt him...jesus christ..." She went over to him, bending down to the chair and taking his head into her arms. "I told you to be careful you stupid idiot, god damn it." She kissed him on the forehead, smiling a little in spite of the predicament. "Th' fuck happened? Epol tried to tell me, but he got cut off somehow..."

Corik paced around the room, trying to come to grips with everything. Taking a few big breaths, he headed out into the main area. If nothing else, everyone else had a right to know what Marisol had told him.

He walked into the large area and noticed that Viola and Jade had both left... Only the pari remained in the building, and that meant he couldn't rely on any of the older guys to tell everyone instead. He'd have to do it.

"Guys, we need to talk, cuz there's a few things that you ought to know." He waited for everyone to gather round, and he took another deep breath and started.

"It's about all these murders... We've gotta put an end to them fast. That woman that was just here, she's the old counselor from my school... and apparently she was dating this Ivan guy that is your teacher or somethin... and he's apparently working for the FBI, and they seem to think that I'm the one doing this... which is absolute garbage, I know, but that's how lost the police are with this.

That woman, Ms. Esperanza, she seems to know something about the whole magical deal, and she's been talking with Aiden Houlton, one of the misus, as a shrink at school. She seems pretty certain that he's some kind of responsible so I think it's our duty as agent's of the Vilos to hop on that and pay him a visit. I can drive us all, since it looks like none of the old folks are here."

Looking at the faces of his friends, he watched for some kind of reaction.

"I should probably let someone know what we're doing, so I'll text Viola before we leave.

Adrian leaned against a wall as the meeting was called, gathered with his fellow pari, a slight look of disinterest on his face as he gazes as the opposite wall, a slight twitch running across his face at the mention of the murders, the feeling of the city still fresh in his mind, his familiar home for so long, lightly tainted with a pervading disquiet, draped over the city, an unwanted veil who's effects seemed to permeate every mind, each person's face flashing through his mind as they are mentioned, a dull anger boiling within him up at the mention of the misus, slowly quieted by the knowledge that one misus did certainly care for the other, above and beyond just as a teammate.

I have him at least. If nothing else, even if I can't identify the rest of them, if he is there, I will see to it that he falls. His thoughts faded momentarily to the illusion he had been preparing, the image of one misus snatching the other away from his earlier encroaching illusion vivid in his mind's eye. His attention returned fully to the announcement, giving a hesitant nod of acceptance to the plan, eagerness to prove himself, and for vengeance, overwhelming his first thoughts of caution.

"You know you really shouldn't be focusing on revenge, even if they are the enemy, the focus should be their defeat for the cause and victory over the forces of evil. We are the righteous force, we cannot succumb to darkness." The familiar voice chastised, Richter keeping a guiding hand.

Yes, I know, but if nothing else, I'd like to prove my use to the team, to actually do something... In everything I've done, I've really not felt so... impotent... so powerless... but you are right. The briefing concluded, Adrian spoke up, still staring at the wall, his voice level. "We should collaborate as much information on this Aiden and what will be the most opportune place for engagement." He looked around the group as he finished speaking, hoping it would be well received, and that they had more information on which to go.

Cyrel had remained quite listening to all that had to be said not sure how to take all the information. It was disheartening to think that anyone could blame any of them for the murders at all. Of course the police didn't have much to go on so why not blame the magical beings even if they were the good guys.

"I agree with Adrian's idea. We should gather information about him first. That way we can fight him on even terms. From what I have gathered while watching them all fight it seems him and the girl that uses earth have something going on. They tend to protect one another from what I have noticed." She said after thinking things through a bit more.

There was no reason to rush into a fight without more information in the first place. Granted all they had been doing for a while now was information gathering. But at least now they had something to go on which was a lot better than nothing at all.

"Then I guess we should head on over there and see what we can find out."

With that he turned and walked back into the locker room to grab his wallet, phone and keys. shortly, he re-emerged and motioned for everyone to head out the door.

"Get in the truck people, let's go. I'm tired of sittin' around." He twirled the keys around his finger and pulled out his phone.

Swiftly, he sent viola a text, "we're headed out to find some information on Aiden and these killings. bbl"

Viola sat in the waiting room of the doctor's office, watching as little Elliot busied himself with the lego table in the children's waiting area. As he was building a house for the plastic dinosaurs, Viola felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She fished it out and looked down at the glowing display.

we're headed out to find some information on Aiden and these killings. bbl

"Well, that's worrisome... I hope that nothing bad happens... to any of them.

And why would you be worried about Aiden?

Viola sighed audibly. "Because he's probably not the type you want to get too angry..."

------------------------------

For the first time in a long time, Aiden found himself with nothing really to do. He had just finished his fencing practice, and was just sitting and resting. He was not used to any form of physical workout, so just a half an hour of thrusting and parrying tired him out. He decided to spend some time staring at the ceiling.

He hadn't seen any of the girls lately, which was surprising to him, as Cindi made a point of coming over and dragging the other two with her. He guessed Max was trying to lay low with all of the killings going on. What mostly was on his mind, though, was how Bella was doing. He had texted her once or twice, with no answer. And neither of them liked phone conversations much at all. He would have to head over to her place some time in the near future to make sure that she was alright.

For now, though, he was more than content with sitting and staring at the ceiling.

Cyrel nodded and followed Corik to the truck. Stopping to wait for Adrian and Aimee when she noticed they were lagging behind. "Come on lets go and get this started. No point in wasting more time." She said looking back to the other two waiting at the door to the warehouse for them to come on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bella was bored out of her mind. She had already played WoW and was bored with it. There was nothing to do seeing as her parents hadn't let her out of the house because of all the murders. She was getting restless she wanted to train but couldn't do so not inside the house. At least not how she wanted to.
She then noticed her cell phone for the first time in a while, it was glowing and had the symbol for a text message on it. "Well shit." She muttered to herself as she read the text messages that Aiden had sent her a while ago actually. "Hmm Eh why not." She said getting up from her computer chair which she had been sitting in contemplating a way to get out of the house.
The messages from Aiden gave her the perfect excuse even if they were old and just asking if she was ok. Deciding she should at least respond to them she sent a quick text back."Yeah I'm fine. I'm also on my way over." She sent back letting her parents know what was going on and making her way over to Aiden's as carefully as possible seeing as there was still quite a bit of ice on the roads and such.
Aimee had stayed quiet during the meeting, mostly because she didn't know what to say. She had figured a while ago that people considered them to be responsible of the murders, or of not doing anything to stop them, which had similar results. But the cops? And Mr. Proctor? For some reasons, she had always believed they knew the Vilos better, or at least trusted them enough to leave them out of the suspects' list.
She shook her head when she heard Cyrel calling them, thoughts still running through her mind. She would have preferred to wait a little more, and take the time to prepare, but that strategy had not given much results before. And she could understand the others' need for action. With a little shrug, she hurried up and joined Corik and Cyrel.
(Elsewhere)
Karen was worried. Outside of the irregular bouts of coughing, Max had been unusually quiet. True, the young woman wasn’t the sort of person who indulged in idle conversation, even on her best days. However, she was still engaged in some sort of mental activity. Usually during a drive she would put on her headphones and listen to some music. Then she would stare idly out the window, thinking of things Karen never knew. Today, the anxious woman barely made it out of the driveway before Max curled up on the back seat of the car. Still buckled into her seat, the teenager drifted into an uneasy slumber. Max never slept in a moving vehicle. Even when she was younger, she would find ways to keep herself occupied, just so she would not fall asleep in the car. Yet, there she was, snoozing away. The trip was silent, with the exception of Maxine’s sporadic coughing.
Once they had arrived, Karen practically needed to drag Maxine from her spot. The teenager wasn’t really resisting, but her determination to remain asleep made her reluctant to move. The girl trudged along, beside her mother, as they made their way to the pediatricians’ office.
In the waiting room, Max found a chair, situated away from everyone else, and had a seat. Her mother went to speak to the person at the desk. There were children playing in the far corner, with their parents, or guardians, or whatever they hell they were, fretting nearby. Off in the distance, was the sound of a child screaming. They likely got some sort of shot, or were going to get one, judging by the tone of the cry. The teen didn’t care about any of that. She just wanted everyone to just shut up so she could go back to sleep. The car ride had been uncomfortable, making rest seem unobtainable. These chairs weren’t all that much better.
Maxine was just about to doze off, when she started coughing again. She doubled over, attempting to cover her mouth, and clutch her sore torso at the same time. The teenager felt her mother wrap her arms around her shoulders, until the hacking subsided. The older woman rubbed her daughter’s back, trying to ease the Max’s breathing.
It seemed like they were waiting for an eternity, when not even fifteen minutes had passed. “Mrs. Buckland?” a voice said from what seemed like ages away. “The doctor’s ready to see Maxine, now.”
Karen gently eased her child from her seat, and led her down the hall, behind the waiting nurse.
The doctor's office bell jingled as two more people walked in. Viola didn't pay them much attention until the people sat down. It was two women, one older, one younger. The younger one was having some sort of coughing fit, so she couldn't get too good of a mat her. But something about her... well, it seemed very familiar. She couldn't put her finger on it right away, but she could have sworn that she had met the girl before.
What is with the sudden interest in that girl over there?
"I'm not sure, Len. It just feels as if... as if we've met before. I mean, she kind of looks like the chick with the shadow cats. But I can't quite tell." Viola picked up a magazine, to try and not look too suspicious.
At that moment, she felt it- that magical signature that all Vilos and Misus tended to have. It was her- the chick with the lions. She was more than sure of it now. At the moment, Viola was just worried that the girl would recognize her back. She put the magazine a little down to cover her choker. It tended to be quite noticeable.
She heard the girl's name called by the nurse at the front desk. Viola couldn't quite hear it, but she could tell it began with an M. She put that down in her notebook, and resumed waiting for Elliot's appointment.
It had only taken Bella about twenty more minutes than normal to get to Aiden's. Normally it wouldn't have but with the ice on the roads even though it wasn't as much as it had been, still made in necessary to drive a bit more cautiously. She parked the car and got out wrapping her scarf around her face again as she trudged up the walkway to knock on the door. She muttered to herself about hating the cold and how she couldn't wait for warmer weather as she waited for Aiden or one of his parents to answer the door.
Of course while waiting for someone to answer the door the thought occurred to her that she had no idea what she was really even there for. Other than to get out of the house. "Shit how stupid showing up for no real reason." She thought to herself as she continued to stand there in the cold.
Jonathan was giving himself a break for coffee when there was a knock on the door. "Now... who could that be?" He wondered as he walked. He couldn't think of anyone who could be coming over at this time. Nobody had called... He opened the the door.
"Oh, Bella. I haven't seen you in a while. Aiden's upstairs in his study. I think he's done with... whatever he's doing." He went back to his coffee, knowing that she wouldn't talk to him that much, if at all. He heard the sound of footsteps up the stairs, and knew that she was no longer there.
-------------------------
Aiden heard the footsteps up the stairs and jumped up, startled. Who could be coming up the stairs? He then glanced over and saw the glowing phone display. Picking it up, he glanced at what was on it. "Hm. A text from Bella saying she'd be over soon. Well..." He glanced at his watch, "Now is soon."
He opened the door, seeing Bella just walking down the hall. "Come on in." He said, grinning. As she walked in, he closed the door.
"So..." He looked around, trying to find a place to go with some sort of conversation. "How have you been doing?"
Bella had just nodded at Aiden's father when he had let her in and told her where Aiden was. She simply went up stairs to find Aiden waiting to let her in. "I've been alright." She said once she finally pulled the scarf away from her mouth so she could speak.
"Aside from having basically been trapped by my parents because of all the murders going on." She continued after a few moments just to break the silence and continue the conversation. She really was no good at talking for long periods of time. She still couldn't even remember why she had come over in the first place.
"That... is understandable." He looked down at his feet. He wasn't quite sure why she was here, exactly, but he was very glad to see her. He didn't want to admit it in front of her, but he had been concerned about her not contacting him over the last few weeks. 'Think, Aiden... what would Cindi tell you to do in this situation?' he pondered, as she was the expert on these sorts of things.
"Well, It's really nice getting in contact with someone after all these weeks of silence. I have to admit, I was starting to get nervous." That was very close to the truth, actually, except he was more concerned about her than any of the others. He walked over to his closet and pulled out a folding chair. "Please... take a seat, if you want." He pulled up his desk chair.
Bella nodded sitting down once the chair was offered. "I haven't been worried to much a bit concerned since no one has really contacted me." She said truthfully of course she had mostly been concerned about Aiden. Why she had no idea but she had. She swore in the back of her mind she could here Cindi making some sort of comment about her loving him but she shook it away.
She looked at the floor trying to think of something else to say but was at a complete loss for words. "How stupid can you get coming over here with no actual purpose." She thought to herself hating the fact that in social situations such as these she had no idea of how to handle them.
