Haha, yeah, Ollie(the Eclectus) prefers mom, he tolerates others.
I had a love bird, got her for my birthday, a month later and a kitten got in the cage and broke her neck I was so upset, but mom had just had a stroke a few months prior and she had brought the kitten home. She felt so bad so I went back to the center and got Rocket(my Quaker).
But yeah, Quaker have their quirkes, but once you get used to them and they get used to you, they are real sweet. He loves to fly off his perch and start wandering around the living room.

Gok (the cockatiel) is like that, she thinks she owns the house sometimes. If she's next to something she deems hers, like the biscuit tin, she hisses like mad.
And if she manages to get in a draw she'll even hiss at mum... She's so grumpy xD

The lovebirds are adorable though, we let them out the cage to fly around (it's hard getting them back in, but I like them having the exercise..)
We also have two canaries, and a red-rump parakeet.. He hates all of us. Miserable bird..

Poor little lovebird of yours I can't really stand cats myself but I know people do.. Sometimes unfortunate things just happen ><

I remember my uncle and aunt used to have some, they were so cute.

Well I won't lie, they do have their obnoxious moments sometimes, especially the lovebirds, they're very stubborn birds as it is... And they can be really noisy.
But I <3 them too much to be bothered by it, you just have to really like them xD

I think my friend used to have some lovebirds too.

Haha, Our birds know when we are eating something that they can eat. If I have some bread with peanutbutter on it, they lean out from their perch and just stare at it until I give them some It's pretty funny. They eat it until there is beanutbutter up in the corners of their beak.
Rocket has to make sure his beak is really clean though after. He's a bit OCD, lol.
They have made me want to become an avian vet. We got them from an avian rehab and rescue center. They sell really good organic food and toys so we get everything from there.

Lol, birds just staring at you intently while you eat. Haha. So cute and funny.
I love it when pets have lots of personality.

I'd love to do something like that.. It's awful to see people who've just been s*** to any pets, but I'd rather be an avian vet 'cos I have a fear of dogs (long story) and cats bug me.. *-*
Gok is like that, whenever mum is eating something she's like:

Gok: o.o
Mum: What?
Gok: o.o *shuffle closer*
Mum: No pasta, Gok.
Gok: O.O *shuffles closer*
Mum: Gooook, no.
Gok* O.O ... *snatch pasta and run*

They're just so funny the way they behave, makes me laugh x3

Omg, they are adorable:D I don't know how to put in pictures I have some good ones of Ollie and Rocket. They don't go by each other. They don't know each other well enough yet and such. Hopefully they will get used to each other. We want to put together a foraging tree for them so they get their exercise. It's supposed to be really good for them to keep them busy and keep them from plucking and whatnot.

Yeah, I'd hug them both but they won't allow it xD
Though Fry seems fairly tame, he'll take food from me, and if I stick my fingers in the cage he'll close his beak on them but not really bite down.. Think he's just interested in seeing if I'm edible.
Laurie though, he hates me. I'm evil as far as he's concerned.

Oh wow, I held a parrot exactly like Ollie when I went to a bird sanctuary... Actually if I remember it bit me. Quite a bit. Ah well xD
And I've seen quakers like him in a shop.. I remember the owner did a really weird thing to determine gender (someone there wanted to buy a girl), hovered a metal pendant above them and if it span one way it was female, other way male, don't remember which....
Not really sure how much faith I hold in that.
