So my friends and I were all hanging out at one of our friends house the day after our school had gotten out. My one friend had mentioned something to us. She said that we should all make a summer bucket list, and one thing we should all try to do is get over a fear of ours.
it wasn't really an official thing, but I liked the idea. And That night I actually got over a fear.

So I have two things I'm curious about.

1) What is/ would be on your summer bucket list? What would you like to happen/do before the summer is over?

2) What are so fears of yours you'd want to get over?

oooh.... nice ^^ i've been considering making a life-long Bucket List recently XD i thought it might help me get some direction and motivation in my life! haha.

hmm for summer...

Bucket List:

1. Beach Parties. I live near the sea, but so often i'm too down or not feeling social and end up missing the best part of the year for going down to the beach. This year I want to have fun with old friends, make some new ones, and just generally have fun at the seaside.

2. Go on holiday with Sam. I pinched some scratchcards off the floor of a coach we were on, and one of them was a winner... of a holiday to Portugal o.o but things are getting complicated now due to our friends who were supposed to be coming with us, so now it may not happen. but I want to go on holiday SOMEWHERE. I seem to become more lethargic and depressed if i don't have a change of scenery for too long - and I love travelling so much!

3. Get outside more. I need to get more fresh air. I need to see the countryside more - or at least some woods and fields or something, even if they're still within town, really.

4. Dye my hair an unnatural colour. Because up to know i've never been able to due to stupid school rules, and stupid workplace rules.

As for fears, damn I have so many XD
I'm not really sure which one I could try to overcome easily... hmmm... i'll have to have a think on it~

Let's see... My list of things to do..
1)Try to keep pet ribbon eel alive.
2)Survive music camp next week. Practicing flute six hours a day will probably kill me, but I must try to survive
3)Complete(and pass)Algebra course and get into Geometry so that Mother will get me a pet snake
4)Bribe Mother to get me a gothic lolita dress(or two),so that I can wear them next year, in eighth grade.
5)Get better at drawing humans and animals
6)Try to not injure myself by tripping over cats, falling down or up stairs, or tripping over my own feet. If I must give myself an injury, I should at least injure myself creatively.

And, my fears to overcome:
1)My fear that dating a girl will get me shunned in school(Ok, it will. But, I can at least pretend it won't)
2)My fear of speaking in public

And, more of a bad habit than a fear, but still something I need to overcome:
My terrible social skills. I cannot look at someone when I speak, and instead of greeting someone with the typical 'Hello, how are you?' that is generally accepted in America, I always bow or curtsy and barely manage to stutter a faint 'Hi..' I really need to work on my social skills.

Ooh, this is a fun idea!

My summer bucket list is kinda long, since I'm going to europe this year for the first time! I'm finally going to accomplish a life goal of seeing a Renoir painting in person, up-close! I want to see the loire valley castles before I get back, too. I want to get in contact with my greek and french friend over the summer to and hopefully get together. I also hope to get my usual job as a camp councellor nailed, or at least get a job in a daycare or something. I'm really hoping to get on board with a branch of the Habitat for Humanity program, too.

I really want to get over my fear of heights--and soon! I want to be able to look down from the eiffel tower without passing out. D:

Well, the only fear I would really like to get over is my fear of asking a someone out, or rather the fear of being rejected/having failed.
Most of my "bucket list" stuff has been put off until next summer, like traveling to another country. Parents only said it was okay when it was already too late. Or, if nothing else, traveling around this country, mainly just this east coast, but there a few west coast things I want to see, and a certain person in Texas who seemingly dropped off the map. >>
I also need to relearn calculus, learn definite mathematics, relearn basic Chinese, then move on to intermediate, relearn basic programming, then move on to intermediate, learn french, learn basic physics, and a bunch of other academic stuff. I really need to earn straight A's, so that my tuition will be dropped. I figure, if I know most of it, pulling an A shouldn't be too hard. It's my acting class that'll hard to pull an A in, especially since I've never acted and the teacher is apparently tough/realistic for actors. Next semester consists of physics w/ lab, a "core" class, physics, and data structures. >:P

I have no bucket list seeing as I am not in school at the moment. I do however jave a fear that I would like to get over. Thats my fear of other peoples blood. See I can handle the site of my own and even handle It on my kid or mother. Family members and truly close friends seem to be no problem. But someone say like a coworker that I don't know all that well or a random stranger I freak out and can't look. I have even gotten to the point that I can't watch the show Dexter due to this strange fear of mine that I used to not have. So its one I would like to figure out and get over at some point.

Ecco: Ok, I wish I was as lucky as you. I want to go to a Beach party, or find a free trip to Portugal!

What color do you think you would dye your hair?
was your school really that strict? All year I saw this girl with blueberry blue hair.. I really wish i knew her.

Well what are your big fears?

Icewing
: Pet Ribbon eel? Is that a type of eel?

As for your fears, are the kids in your school closed minded about you dating a girl? Truthfully I think that if you can handle them, I think you should definitely try to date a girl. I just hope that everything will work out for you.

Sinderlin: Oh the Effiel Tower is amazing! Happy
I went there two years ago, and trust me when I say that you have to go to the tip top. Because once you get to the top part, you can stay in the inside window area, or go up stairs to the caged in open top. You have to see it from there, fear or not. I'm afraid of heights to, but its really amazing. Where is Europe are you going? :]

Neo: Dear god that sounds like a lot of work o.o
Just a side note, if when you're learning French, if you need any help just ask. I've been taking French for a while and would love to help you out :]
Where would you want to travel to?

KoyiTar: Oo that sounds interesting. is it just the sight of peoples blood, or hearing about someone bleeding or sokemthing like that?

Yeah, they're really pretty eels that aren't supposed to be kept in captivity. They really do look like ribbons.

In terms of open-mindedness, the kids in my school are very similar to stubborn oysters. Meaning whenever soneone even mentions homosexuals, they pretty much all run away screaming. Being me is even worse. I'm already at the bottom of the food chain at my school thanks to my shyness and uniqueness. I would probably never be able to handke the kids in my school if the torture they put me through gets worse. And, now, to complicate my problems, this eighth grader is trying to get me to date him. He's one of my friends, but I really don't want a boyfriend. Anyone know how to politely reject a guy?

It's the site I can't look at it or I get violently ill or pass out sometimes both. If its mine my sons or someone I am very close to I have no problem. Say if it was you for example though I would moat probably pass out at the site of you bleeding or vomit not sure dependant on the amount of blood.

Icewing: Oh I'm gonna go google them, they sound really pretty :]

Oh my god they sound like a group of dicks. Is it just the middles schoolers or do the high schoolers and adults act the same way?
As for rejecting a guy, I don't have much advice for that really. Does he know about you?

KoyiTar: Oh so a papercut wouldn't affect you that much?
Oh dang I'm sorry. I can't think of any way to get over that other that to clean someone up who's hurt.. but that wouldn't end well.

Most of the highschoolers and adults are the same. I live in a very homophobic town. And the fact that most of my friends have parents who are very religious and see homosexuals as unnatural, or even sinful, doesn't help either.
He does know, to an extent, but doesn't believe me, mainly because it seemed like I was using the overused 'I'm gay' excuse just so that he wouldn't date me, not because I actually am a homosexual. And I feel really bad about trying to reject him because I've known him since 1st grade, so I feel like I'll be insulting him by not having told him I'm a homosexual earlier in the year, even though I myself wasn't positive about my sexuality until a few months ago.

Well you could either sit down with him and explain how you figured out that you are gay. Tell him how you figured out. He should be smart enough to realize why you not really telling people about it, and should understand?
or
Just figured out a way to break it off nicely like you said. I'm not much help because I've only dated one guy, and he's the only guy who's asked me out on a date. most of the guys I know won't make a move unless they know the girl likes them back.

Yeah, I might try doing that. I just have to get over my accursed shyness first. I'm just really worried that he'll be slightly weirded out like my other friends were when I told them(One of my friends still asks me every science class 'Are you positive you're transgendered? This is BAD. you have to see a guidance counselor' even though I've assured her I'm a transgender, that I'm no different from any normal guy except for my physical build, and a guidance counselor is the last person I need to see, especially not the school one). I really would hate it if a tiny matter(well, tiny to me)would end any of my friendships. I had too few friends to begin with, I don't need to lose any more of my friends.

I'm trying to get over my shyness, but I really have truely terrible social skills. My mother is planning on sending me to a counselor to help me get over my shyness, although I doubtbthat will work very well, since counselors scare me.

Lol, nice. You should really look it up, it's a really pretty eel. The males are such a pretty shade of turquoise, although I prefer the golden colouring of the female eels, which is why it irks me that my eel didn't stay female.
