AnDe- lol

Ecco- I get you. just over this pass year my perspective's changed and the way my mind thinks has changed too. It's impossible to pin down everything.

Personally it's around high school age, considering those are the age kids that are around me.. haha. So I'd say 14-18?

Its especially the freshman of this year, for some reason they're very slutty, and think that dating someone after a week means you should have sex with them, and you're in love.
Ok a weeks exaggerated. It took a month for a girl I know.

ugh jeez i know what you mean. it upsets me to see girls that probably havent even hit puberty yet dressing like sluts. I mean - once you are old enough, fair play, where whatever you like, but when i see little girls wearing mini skirts and low cut tops and padded bras (when they dont even HAVE boobs yet) i just find it really creepy and uncomfortable. bleh.

but back to the love thing... i also get you there. I can't say much when it comes to sex or whatever, but again, everyone has different ideas about it. I just think it should always be on YOUR terms, not just what the other person wants. So i find it sad to think that girls will have sex with guys because they "love him" when really, they have no idea about being in love, and are just desperate for affection or something. its just... agh D:

hehe. i can't help but ramble on... i find people and everything to do with them very interesting, probably because people are so diverse and complex.

i feel like a bit of a hypocrite on the love thing, though, since i've believed myself to be in love before, and looking back i just think "haha... really? no." but then, it's not easy to tell if i've just realised i was wrong, or the negative feelings about the past clouds your perspective and makes you deny the feelings were ever there... i wonder~

I see where both of you are coming from. I think its really quite pointless to say you love someone after a week. I remember back in middle school when kids would date for a week and say they were in love. The longest I ever saw a relationship last back there was oh...3 months. Anyway its pretty insane how sexuality charged America is becoming! I mean even Disney princesses! (Ariel for example!) It just is not right... Sad Like I said. I thought I liked somebody in middle school but who knows? He would always hang out with this one slut. and think about it. would you still love them if they were broke? hobos? (lol) But still. This world is changing.

lol my boyfriend is pretty much broke, i couldn't care less XD He does though, he can be quite... traditional about our relationship at times, so he doesn't like it when I pay for us to do things. Yet if i never paid for anything, i'd just be fulfilling the female stereotype of being "expensive" or a "gold digger" lol... so I remind him of that, and he stops complaining. Jab lol.

I couldn't handle that. I want to be a provider, and I really don't like paying for people. I even pay for people when I really don't have the money to. It's just a respect thing, I think. It's one of the forty or so reasons I have for not dating yet. I have no money and I don't want to make my girlfriend, when I get one, to pay for stuff.

my last relationship was based on the idea of splitting everything financial evenly - pretty much literally, or close enough to it.

i like it at the time, but looking back, it feels verrryyyy.... sorta commitment oriented but with a lack of passion. thats not to say money = passion XD but like with sam, he is so often broke yet he set aside money for valentine's and we went for a meal at Wagamama's (a japanese restuarant) then to the cinema to see Paul and got a taxi home (which is expensive from the city to my town) and it cost him something like £140 i think he said... sooo yea.. its different, but it works just as well and feels even better :3

I meant to say that I want to be a provider and I want to pay for everything.
Anyways, I don't know. Someone asked me the other day, why I want to be more than I need to be, and I was just like, I don't see why you should aim for normal and ordinary, when you can be abnormal and extraordinary. I'm just used to aiming very high, very, very high.
Finding a job is difficult. I'm about to say screw it and go back to the restaurant I worked at last summer, but the work was difficult and I dislike the 45 minute drive...

i'm all for dreaming big, but setting unrealistic goals and having high expectations (of everything, not just yourself) is actually very bad for you, or at least it can be. For example, women who read a lot of romance novels are more likely to be unhappy with their love life wether in a relationship or not, and are less likely to have a lasting relationship, because the romance novels they read lead them to have completely ridiculous expectations of real men, so they're always disappointed and presumably rather high-maintenance.

Sorry I was busying studying for finals, and yesterday i was celebrating my freedom from school :]

Ecco: That makes a lot of sense to me. Considering those books are written where the man always becomes smitten with the women and there is rarely an argument, it make people expect relationships to always be easy when they're not.
