| I actually don't have much time to stay and chat right now because i have to go finish my homeworks o3o lol but i will come back to check. I'm only asking now because it's a burning question.
SO. I'm applying to Game Design courses and Illustration courses, and I figured my resume looked like... poop. I'm planning to redesign it to look like a character sheet from some MMORPG. Good idea? Bad? Or a better suggestion?
And I would love to see your resume designs. Kthnx. Seeya soon hahahahahhahaha XD

| lol reika <3
umm, are we talking like university courses here?
idk, things are different in each country. like over here, to apply to uni, you have to do it all through a company called UCAS, you can apply to 5 courses at any unis in the country, but that's it. you write a personal statement (basically IM AWESOME YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME but without it SOUNDING like you're a total jackass) and they send that and all your details to the courses you applied to. theeeen you'll usually get interviews at the unis that are interested in you, and for artsy subjects you would need a portfolio of work to take with you as well.
so i dunno how it works in... canada? that's where you are right? XD *forgetful* but hey i had to do a "design cv" not long ago, basically like a normal cv but geared towards jobs in the creative industry. basically, the long story short is that clarity and the information has to come across first, THEN getting fancy with the layout and any graphics and such comes second. if it's overbearingly an artwork as opposed to a document about you and your skills, it'll get ignored o.o;

| in my case, it's like uni. I'm interested in seeing all kinds but i'm remaking a uni one first before remaking the jobs one.
Haha it's weird because when I ask around my friends to take a look at their's they all seem so reluctant xDDD
nuuu I don't want to get ignored. I must go research ~~ Design CV sounds helpful, I shall go look around.
and yes, Canada. Yay

| if you like, i could send you my design CV or something to have a look at? basically it's just a little colour and style, as opposed to a regular CV that's purely text, and more targeted information
cover letters might also be worth looking at, if you go for jobs - or if you have an equivalent of a personal statement for applying to university courses, then those instead :3 lol

| Well, the modern style is like, Name, contact info, achievements, work history (or whatever it is that is most impressive), on the first page, schools and other "stuff" on the second page. Remember people have short attention spans, and will read the first stuff with the most attention.
