Well, as far as I see it --- It's really awkward when you go somewhere and you see these two men making out. x_______x;;

There's nothing wrong with it in my perspective, it's how people are. But the people who aren't happy with their life and have to make somebody else feel bad to make them feel 'good' --- IDK how that works. Dx. But people just make fun or talk because they don't see it's normal. And everybody is different and people need to accept that, but that's entirely something else. Dx

Yes when they are making out in pubilc but its the same as if a 'normal' couple does it too(but people just ignore it). My firends would hug and sit on each other and kiss and make out while in pubilc places or at parties (it was just hanging out)

Just to be polite, just a little kiss and sit next to you special person would be ok to others. but getting to like 2nd base in pubilc isn't ok.

On the Consutation bit, I think its wrong how people want to change it and make it a right that Gays can't marry. Thats not what happened in 1776 was for. it was for freedom of speak and religon and being gay/lez/bi isn't one. its a sexual origantion. But what you say about people being scared of what they don't understand has alot to play in it. Its the same if you haven't riden a bike or driven a car before, aren't you just a little bit scared and you try to avoid it? But if you get over that afraid feeling and you get a little help and support you get over it and you can ride your bike or drive by yourself and get very good at it.

And when people tease, they are either: Hiding that they are gay/lez/bi themselves or they just don't understand and is afraid of it and they're up front about it.

Your not confused, when you figure out and realize who you like you just let it go and you go to it. your drawn to it by something you can't explain to some else. I know how this feels too. and i hate how LGBT gets ranted on alot and how my mom says that their is alot of people confused.
When i told her i was Bi she said it was because i was on PMS.

I think homosexuals are getting a raw deal because they're different. They don't compete with the same sex as straight people usually do. I don't understand people disliking and making fun of gays because they haven't done anything for people to dislike. They haven't caused the war in Iraq, They haven't done lots of the horrible stuff that straights do.

It saddens me that so many gays are being so torn down in America. I live in canada, so I support the 'Screw America and come to Canada' idea, because I wouldn't mind some gay friends.

Actually in the bible it does say about homosexuality, so that statement is wrong =|

1 Corinthians 6:9 (New International Version)

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

Excuse me, hun, but that passage has already been deemed to not have been referring to men loving men but married men who would cheat on their wives with male Pagen whores.

Hmm, I've not yet heard about them taking away homosexual rights. But you do have a point.

Homosexual rights should be protected, after all homosexuals have been around for thousands of years, from the Roman empire to the Edo period in japan. It was a regular practice in both places.

But to suddenly abolish the rights of a person sounds a lot like Communism.
Maybe America isn't too far away from that.

I always say.... 'A person is smart. People are stupid.'

When people get together they begin to convince each other of things that would blow the single person's mind. I have heard people say things like 'If we allow gay marriage then this country will fall apart.' or 'If we allow gay marriage then two guys can get married just to share health insurance.' Both of which are ridiculous.

Marriage is an Institution! My ass. Straight people have ran the institution of marriage into the ground for decades...Hell, probably centuries.

And the whole Health Insurance thing is dumb. I know straight couples that got married only to share health insurance...so whats the difference?

The truth is, here in America, we like to say that we are all about equality. But, as a whole, this country is still in the throws of racial social issues. It was only 50 years ago when segregation was still common place in a lot of places.

Its going to be a long fight...and a hard one at that. Just look at all the red states during the next election and you will know how long that fight will be.

Well the gay people who do get the attention are overly flamboyent and very scary @_@ I can unterstand people being afraid of those gays. Though most don't understand that the precentage of flamboyent gays is small cmpared to the rest of the gay population...

Lips are Zipped
I don't want gay marriage since marriage is religous, if the gays want marriage they should found their own religion that allows such a thing. People are upset by the "gay marriage" because it insults their religous belifes. Sweat

But, here's the thing: Why should gays be denied the right to marry based on someone else's religion?

Surely you have another, more valid reason for gays not being married? The very foundation of this whole battle is religion, and it isn't right. Whatever happened to separation of church and state?

Because "Marriage" is a religous term D: just like the word "gay" (used to be happy) have been redefined in today society (I blame the media).

The Gays from what I've seen just don't want to have a union (2 people together by the state and law) They want a marriage. Which means they want to go to a curch and go though all that ritual stuff. That pisses off people when you attack their religion, by insinuating that their (bibles, peices of old paprus) are wrong and should not be upheld.

I'm all for gay unions and common law marriage, they should adopt orphans too (give the kids a place to stay); But seeing as there is no religon out there that currently supports "gay marriage" they would have to formulate their own religon.

The church and the state are seprate...Its just that people are afraid, and their pastors and other religous dignitaries are wagging their poisoned tounges....Its a war of believes like abortion...

Bouncy Heart I think that everyone needs to take a step back from the religious, political, racial, and whatever other aspects of it and remember that we are all human beings with feelings and emotions. It is hard enough in this world to find people who will be in your life forever. It's hard to find someone to love who loves you back and who you are compatible with. If someone can find another person to share that with then what is wrong with that - whether they're gay, or a certain religion, or black or white or asian, or Republican or Democrat? Who cares? It's not hurting anyone else so let them be happy. Unless someone tries to push their preferences on me I don't care what their preferences are. Well, unless their preferences are killing with hammers or something. You know what I mean. People need to stop worrying so much about what other people are doing in their own lives and start looking at themselves. If people were a little more accepting and open minded about a lot of things there would be a lot less grief and a lot more happiness in the world. If you can find someone to be happy with no one should be able to take that away from you. Bouncy Heart
