Things You Dislike that Everyone Else Likes

Most of my friends play World of Warcraft, and I think it's really, really boring!

I also hate avocados and my family and most of my friends love them. I think my partner is the only other one I know who dislikes them. :/

Uhhh. I'd say makeup, shoes other than sneakers and Crocs and Converses and boys (in the romantic sense) and dresses and skirts and tank tops and teenager-girl-ish clothing like flats and music that has anything to do with IT *cough*obscenethingslikeladygaga*cough* and growing up and random partying thingies like Tik Tok and whatnot. And Chick Lit. YUCK.

I dunno, a few years ago I was a happy pink-loving little girl and now everyone around me is growing to like tons of things I can't even bring myself to start doing @_@ Probably why I find being a teenager ultra-icky too. I like really few teenager-y things and my sense of dressing is really different so every time my friends drag me clothes-shopping I end up being their bag-carrier. HEHE. XD

I also have this nagging, dreadful fear of growing up :/ because adults start criticising what you do more and everyone around you likes different things and you start becoming icky and stuff. (I'm not at the stage where I like boys even if I'm already 15 and I don't think I EVER will. I'm not lesbian either, by the way. This is in no way a homophobic comment XD) I actually like reading romance mangas and watching dramas and reading romance novels though (NOT chick-lit, thanks) and have liked doing so ever since I was aforementioned happy pink-loving girl. Strange.

AAH. To sum it up, there are TONS of things I don't like that everyone likes, but even more that I like that hardly anyone likes.

I like to read shojo and romance manga despite being a guy.
And I was at least 14 when I finally started thinking about IT. Everyone else seemed to start at like 11. O_O

I absolutely hate cats.
I know loads of people like them, but they just annoy me. They skulk around the house, demand food off you, then bugger off to go kill loads of birds/mice/anything they can get their claws on really.
I know it's "their instinct" before someone says it, but frankly I don't care /o/ Because the fact is they don't need to kill to eat unlike most animals, therefore I will still always hate them!

I also largely agree with Poofle... I hate dressy things like shoes, handbags, makeup.
Always have hated them really, they never really seemed to suit me or the way I went about things.
And I'm 23 now so I doubt I'll change xD
Plus, what is it with the massive collections of shoes some girls have?
I have like 2 pairs of trainers. Had them for several years now... <_<;

(And about the growing up.... Don't try and force yourself to "grow up" 'cos imo, the most responsible grown-ups I've ever known have been the ones that still know how to be childish and enjoy it xD
The people who are desperate to grow up are the most childish :p)

Yes >< While farmers who hunt foxes to protect their chickens/etc are ok...
(I still don't like the thought, but hey, a lot of people need those chickens for the meat/eggs, and most farmers are going outta business as is x.x)

I'll just never understand the concept of killing for pleasure.
Especially the way some of them do it too, with dogs trained for that purpose.

I'm more the sort of person that diesn't like unnecessary deaths as it is.
(I literally won't even kill wasps lol, and they make me rage... Not to mention when I was younger dead leaves made me cry xD)
But when it's one that's just for someone else's pleasure, it makes me kinda really mad.

yea, i totally agree. i guess the only point i differ with you is that i still stick by the idea that cats are doing it based on instinct; whereas humans arent. unless it is in self defence, say you're being attacked, then instinct will tell you the whole fight or flight scenario.

but yea, shooting a problem animal that is picking off your livestock is fair play. but chasing a fox with a pack of dogs that are going to rip it apart when they catch it, whilst you ride on horseback like some pompous prick (wait, like? the people that do that ARE pompous pricks) is just disgusting.

i also dislike hunting any animal if its just for a single part. like shark's fins or elephant's tusks or whatever else. though i dont mind animals being hunted if almost everything is used, ie the meat and the hide and anything else that can be found a purpose for. cos at least it's not going to waste.

I know that cats will always do it by instinct, which is why even though I'll never really like 'em, I won't go around to people going "D< ZOMG how dare you have a cat!" etc etc

Agreed with the hunting for a certain part of the animal as well, in my old school there was an ancient piano there, with all ivory keys... Didn't even want to go near it
But again yeah, I ain't gonna be the sort of person to run out and go "Kill NOTHING!!" because people are designed to eat meat, hence the pointy teeth...
