| Viola staggered to her feet, spitting dirt out of her mouth. That was too close for comfort. She looked over at Aimee. She had to get this girl to safety- and fast. She made her way over to Aimee and grabbed onto her shoulders again, dragging her out of the monster's range. The faster they could get away from this tree-thing, the better. Then she could make sure that her Pari was safe and go back to fighting.
At this moment, Viola couldn't help but wonder where Drei was. They could really use his help, seeing how they were being beaten pretty badly. He most likely had a good reason for not being there, though, and stopped thinking about it. She had more important worries- like how this tree-thing was going to be stopped. If it kept at this rate, who knows how much energy it was going to absorb?
After making sure Aimee was comfortable, she re-joined the battle, readying another arrow. Shouting the attack name, she let the second one loose towards the tree-monster.

| Corik emerged from the far end of the tunnel, maybe 100 yards behind the battle scene. He saw the tree fling it's bombs at the other Vilos and the witnessed the detonation's fling them to the ground. Filled with a seething rage at seeing his friends taking the brunt of the punishment, he flew at the creature, streaking across the park gathering speed as he ran, is fists bared to pummel the tree's unexpecting back...

Andrew hacked quickly at the remaining roots binding Jade.
"Ha," he chuckled between swings with his makeshift dagger, "I'll be your hero once you guys can take care of that thing."

| ((Viola 35, Corik 14))
Viola lets the bolt fly, this one hitting yet another large limb, sending it and it's connecting branches cracking and falling from the tree. Fradubio lets out another shriek, the reddish ooze leaking from the limbs. Preoccupied with its current discomfort, Fradubio fails to notice Corik zooming across the park like a bullet. When Corik's Warfangs impact the tree, there's a loud cracking of wood, and Fradubio's entire being is wracked with pain. The tree shakes violently, sending leaves, splinters, and short bursts of spores up into the air. The roots attached to the people throughout the park, including Jade, begin to loosen, before withering and drying out.
As soon as the roots withered and died, cutting the roots away became much easier, and it was only moments before Jade was completely cut free. Sat up, brushing the rest of the roots and dirt off, then Andrew helped her to her feet. She smiled at him before looking to Fradubio, who seemed to be in its last moments before the limbs came crashing down and the face of the tree froze, immortalized in a deathly howl. "...Yeesh."
Jade, do nit relax, you must find the Misus who caused it. Adrian seems to have located them.
Jade nodded, before looking around to see Adrian, standing atop a hill. She followed his gaze to find several figures on top of a building. "There they are!"

| "Well shit guess Cindi was right they did spot us." Bella said around the cigarette she was about to light. She had been rather skeptical of what the girl had said earlier till she had actually taken a look at what Cindi was talking about the what sounded like a shout from the Vilos once Fradubio had been taken out. "What are your orders sir." She said awaiting an answer from Malygris before just jumping into battle. They had already been reprimanded enough as it was. Better to await orders than to just jump blindly into battle.

Meanwhile back at the clinic
Cyrel had been arguing with the nurse and Varia for the longest time about how fine she was. Of course the nurse wasn't moving out of her way and Varia kept screaming at her to get her butt back in bed. She couldn't help it though something bad was happening and she felt she needed to be there to help. Of course putting all the energy she had into arguing with both the nurse and Varia had caused her to sit back down on the bed anyway. "Ok fine I get it I'm not well enough to help. I'll stay here." She said hoping it would shut them both up of course at the first chance she could get she was going to find a way around the nurse and just deal with Varia's berating when the time came. Now though she would go along with them if only to shut them up.

| Thunder boomed and wood snapped as both Violas lightning bolt and Corik impacted the tree. Corik's armored fist punched into the tree thing up to the middle of his fore-arm, sending a shockwave out along the ground as his momentum carried him into the Misus Abomination. Wrenching his arm free from the death-throws of the tree, Corik trotted over to the Vilos, a look of triumph on his face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Malygris watched with a grin on his face as his creation wreaked havoc amongst the Vilos. His plan was unfolding just as planned, until the fatal blow had been struck, knocking Fradubio out of action more or less permanently. Malygris took note of the fact that they had been located, but it mattered not to him.
The Vilos would feel optimistic about their victory over his creature, but that was because they could not see the large picture. It mattered not when his creations were defeated; they all would be inevitably. No, it was more important as to how far each progressed, and should one fail to perform, it simply meant another step in the middle part of the overall plan.
At the question from Bella, his lips turned up in a slight smile.
"Prepare yourselves, everyone." He said, placing one hand into his pants pocket. "It is time we defended Fradubio."
Darkness coalesced around the gathered Misus, and collapsed in on itself, leaving nothing where 5 people once stood. They quickly materialized in a rough defensive line between the defeated tree and the Vilos, each of his charges ready to do battle and Malygris standing sidelong in the middle, one hand still in his pocket, the other hidden from view behind his body.
Looking at the assembled group opposing him, Malygris scoffed once quietly. "Occupy them for now," he told his agents, "There is one last duty Fradubio must perform before we can retire from the field."
Leaving his agents to keep the Vilos busy, he turned and leaped nimbly into the boughs of the slumped and defeated tree. "Now then," he said to it, "You performed most admirably and now it is time for me to reap the fruits of your labor."
Squatting down, he extended his fee hand out over the Y from which all the branches sprouted. Violet fire burned on his hand as he began to press it into the wood of the tree, reaching for what lay beneath it. As his hand came into contact with the flesh of the tree, it phased through it as though it wasn't even there, grasping for the core of energy siphoned from all the victims of Fradubio's roots.
| Growling as the Misus appeared, Adrian completed his illusion in his mind, an endless world of dark emptiness, crushing pressure, his own form magnified to tower over the void, appearing on the opposite side of the park, each mind singled out to isolate it from any possible comrades. The titanic Adrian demonized, contorting to greater menace, a dark cape prepared to expand and encase the area in umbra, galaxy spanning distances reflected in the flowing fabric, lost in the dark, his mask a reflection of the emptiness, showing each target alone, his monstrous hand extending towards his potential victims, each digit stretched into a pitch black claw, dripping with venomous black ichor. Turbulence and chaos at the illusion's start, cutting abruptly to absolute silence and stillness aside from the approaching hand, designed to crush out all sound but the thoughts of each individual.
Focusing the crushing world of dark vastness on the newly materialized threat, he dives for cover and unleashes his illusion on the Misus as his voice booms out psychically, melding with the illusion, Look here you worthless wastes of matter! You are alone save for me! I control your universe! You cannot flee! You cannot win! Succumb! Succumb and accept me, or languish for eternity in despondency in the void! before devoting himself to maintaining the illusion.
| ((Adrian 20
Abju 81, Max 13, Aiden 9, Cindi 54, Bella 20 [rolled a d6 for the order, to make it somewhat randomized instead of going alphabetical], This illusion will last for two rounds))
The dark hand hovers over the group, casting a dark shadow over them. Max immediately takes her lions and run for cover, until she is well out of the illusion's grasp. Aiden makes a run for it, before noticing Bella who is steadily backing out, still in awe of the sheer amount of mental pressure. Aiden runs back to her without thinking, and grabs her hand and yanks her out from under the illusion, getting the two of them to safety.
Despite the calls of their teammates, Abju and Cindi are left under the void-hand, the former simply dawdling about, while the latter stands as if frozen in place, terrified beyond imagining. The void-hand descends upon the two, with Abju just now becoming aware of the illusory cosmic horror, and Cindi crouching down into a fetal position and covering her head, as if to protect herself. The illusion finally makes contact, encasing the two in a fog of cimmerian darkness...
Look here you worthless wastes of matter! You are alone save for me!I control your universe! You cannot flee! You cannot win! Succumb! Succumb and accept me, or languish for eternity in despondency in the void!
When Cindi opened her eyes, she saw nothing but darkness around her. There was a tangible ground for her to walk, and she could look down and see her own form, but everything else was black.
"Wh-what? What is...this?" She rose slowly, looking around her. "A-Aiden? Bella? ...Max? Red? Guys? Guys, where ar'--*gasp*" She stopped and whirled around, at the sound of girls giggling. Despite how close the sound felt against her ear, it now had a considerable echo, as if had disappeared as soon as she turned around. Hey eyes darted about the darkness, trying to find any semblance of a being that would make such a sound.
Heh. Slut.
"H-huh? Who's there?" Cindi turned this way and that, down and up above, trying to pinpoint the location of the voice, which sounded oddly familiar.
You heard me. Jesus, deaf an' dumb. Heh. A regular Hellen Keller.
The voice was much closer this time, and shocked Cindi moreso when it occurred to her that the voice was somewhat like her own. Its tone was lower, and it spoke coldly to her, full of a loathing and distaste for the person it was conversing with. Cindi straightened up, attempt to look more threatening, to face the voice. "Th-that's...that's notta very nice joke t' make ya know...an' I'm...
What, not a skank? Please, don't kid yourself. For Christ's sake, look at what yer wearin'! An' yer the dimmest bulb in the whole damn box, so don' even try that.
"I don't h-have time for this. I need t'...find a way outta here..."
Oh honey, there 're a lotta things ya need t' do, but you ain't done any 'a 'em. Make Madison respect you by tellin' her what you think of her an' those other two bitches, get yer teammates to see you 's more than some bimbo that cn' make costumes, actually act upon those violent urges that got stirred up in your head yesterday...make Red feel the same way about you as you do fer him...?
Cindi had been doing a pretty good job of ignoring the voice until the last one. "...Shuddup."
[i]Ooooh! I struck a nerve did I? Don' act like you have hope fer this workin' out. I mean lookit him. He's delusional. He only likes you because your the only thing keeping him sane, and only barely. That's not love dear. That's necessity. Not the same thing. And he only fucked you because you give good head. Hell, that's the only reason any guy fucks you, don't you know? You don't even need to do much else, just *pop* open up that mouth 'a yers that's always hangin' half open anyway, an'--[i]
"Shut up, Shut up, SHUT UP!!!" Cindi clasps her head and crouches down again, muttering Hail Mary's in Italian to drown the voice out, who keeps on going...
| Red opens his eyes, not terribly surprised to see nothing. This was nothing terribly new. He'd gotten used to many things one shouldn't. Taking in surroundings, he made mental note of the burning sensation he was feeling.
"Hm. Still in the fire."
There is NOTHING. WRONG. With my son. Release him IMMEDIATELY.
"...Mom?" Red couldn't move in the body he was in, he could only listen. The voice of his mother was frantic, desperate...and noticeably younger-sounding.
Please, Mrs. Cullough, you must calm down...what Redmond did at school today...that's not normal for a six year old. The other boy involved...he's in intensive care....and...
The boy is not well, Moira, he needs to stay here so the doctors can look at him a bit more. so please understand.
"...Dad..."
What is there to understand, MY BOY IS FINE. He needs NO ONE, save ME. He especially doesn't need YOUR help FFFFather.
"Father...does she mean Father Quinn?"
Moira. Calm down, please. You're making a scene.
Don't TELL ME to be CALM, CRAEG, I KNOW THAT THIS IS, I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. This is about ME AGAIN, ISN'T IT?! Trying t-to, to take my BOY FROM ME!!
And YOU. It's just like when he was BORN, ISN'T IT QUINN?! You think...you think that just because he's, he's YOURS you can just--
MOIRA. BE SILENT. This is about the welfare of OUR SON, not--
HE'S. NOT. YOURS. CRAEG. He is MINE, and I adamantly REFUSE to let these...these WITCH DOCTORS and this LETCH of a priest keep him! This is his REVENGE, he's MAD I tell you, always has been, ever since I left him, because he wanted me to--
They're called psycologists, Moira. Please stop--
I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE, QUINN, DON'T YOU TRY AND--
THAT'S ENOUGH MOIRA!
DON'T YOU TELL ME WHEN ENOUGH IS CRAEG, I'LL--
*slap*
...
...Go outside Moira. Please.
*sob*This isn't over Quinn. *gasp*Don't think for a minute it is, becasue I will HAUNT YOU UNTIL the day you--
NOW. MOIRA. Sirs, please take my wife to get some fresh air.
I don't need anything, I need my son! I'm getting my son,a nd we're going home right now!--Let go! Let go! Of! ME! Redmond! Redmond! Mommy loves...!
The sound of scuffling fills the room, followed by the slam of a door, cutting off her voice. Red floats in the burning void, his mind reeling, before completely shutting off.
| Aiden sighed, leaning against another tree in the park with Bella next to him. He wasn't used to running. Needed to catch his breath. A moment later, he was fine again, and surveying the scene. Max had gotten out alright with all of her shadow lions in tow. And he already knew that Bella and him were fine. But Cindi and the Abjuration were caught in whatever that black thing was. What was that thing, anyways? He had never seen anything like it.
Now wasn't the time to worry about that, though. Right now he had to find the source of the claw and get rid of it, like they did to his binaural. But then another thing entered his head- a feeling that the thing over his teammates wouldn't last long, and he knew that he had to make sure Malygris did what he had to do without any interruptions from the Vilos. Looking over at Bella, Aiden smirked. "It's time to make sure the Vilos don't get in our way." He felt his body get warmer, and the fires that were inside him almost seemed to burst out. "IGNITION!"
Suddenly, Aiden was filled with an intense amount of power. He just had to remember that it wouldn't last forever and he should tone down once he got around 12 minutes. If he didn't, he would be useless for the rest of the fight.
| After being teleported to the roof, Maxine had little to do besides watch the mayhem blow. She had absently switched between petting and scratching her shade beasts, as they lounged beside her. They watched the Vilos fight Fradubio, just at their keeper did. However, the lions seemed to watch the battle more out of boredom than any actual interest. When the vampiric tree fell, Max couldn’t help but look up at Malygris. To her confusion, he didn’t seem too concerned about it. He probably had his reasons, and she should worry herself about it. Calmly he told his minions to get ready for battle before teleporting them into the fray.
Before she could come up with something resembling a plan of attack for her lions they had been attacked by… Holy shit! What the frig is this?! She bolted from the illusion, not wanting to know what would happen if she remained where she was. Aiden seemed to have the same idea, making sure Bella escaped as well. Cindi and Abju were not so lucky. Well shit. Cindi was no big loss. She wasn’t really a fighter. But the flame elemental was a good amount of muscle that was temporarily out of action.
Scowling, Max turned to her lions. “You. Get rid of the illusion weaver,” she commanded, pointing to one of the lions. She, then, pointed in the direction she last saw the Vilos fighter. “The rest of you, get the others.”
With a chorus of roars, the lions split up. One bounded in the direction Max had pointed toward... Fangs and claws bared, another went after Corik... The third loped over to where Jade was, pouncing when it was only meters away... The last charged at Aimee, snarling viciously... They should be able to keep the Vilos occupied for a while, but there was no guarantee as to how long the attack would last.
“Soul of the Jaguar” Max recited, boosting her abilities. She might as well be prepared, just in case her shades weren’t enough.
| "That's... pretty amazing." Viola raised an eyebrow towards the illusin that Adrian had created. It had enraptured a few of them, but there were still others to deal with.
Viola! Aimee's in trouble!
Viola looked over to see the shadow lion- the same type that attacked them yesterday, running over to Aimee with intent to do quite a bit of damage. That was enough. Aimee had been hurt more than she needed to be, and it was time for someone to pay. Her thoughts in a bit of a blur, she dashed over to it. She knew that she still had her shield on and maybe she could discourage the lion from attacking if she could grab ahold of it.
As she got closer, She leapt at the lion to tackle it and use the power of her shield to deliver a shock.
| Aimee was sitting on the ground where Viola had left her, trying to understand what had happened. All the hits she had received were starting to affect her, and the explosion had certainly not helped. Massaging her limbs and her head, she was trying to regain at least some concentration, enough to be able to survive the rest of the fight and not be a burden for the others and, if possible, lend a hand to the others.
"AIMEE!!! Watch out!" Zil sent as one of the shadow lions approached.
"Ugh, not so loud, please!" Aimee thought back to her Vilo guardian as she turned her head, wondering what had alarmed him. "Uh oh," she muttered, noticing the angry feline. Reacting mostly by instinct, she attempted to form a soft ice bomb between her and the beast, aimed toward it, hoping to freeze the lion in place or at least slow him down. "Freezing winter!" she yelled, unleashing the pressure and hoping for the best. That was before she noticed Viola jumping toward the feline...
| "What? Lions? Who th' hell uses lions?" Cork asked, as one of the shadowy cats bounded towards him, lips curled up in a snarl, claws extended.
Corik was not about to stand back and let some cat tear him apart though. "They aren't the only thing's with claws." he reminded himself, clenching one gauntleted hand into a fist.
As the lion bounded closer, he reared back and charged his power, Fist of the South Wind he yelled, releasing his attack in a gale force detonation, sending it rocketing towards the approaching lion...
Corik 28, The ice wall is still up, so that's still at 20, Viola 34, and Aimee 32 HUZZAH AIMEEEEEE))
The lion went after Adrian, who was heavily focused on keeping the illusion up, soon had the wind knocked out of him by a lion, sending them both rolling down the hill Adrian was atop of just a moment ago. When they reached the bottom, the lion had Adrian pinned the ground, its muzzle inches from his face, teeth bared and growling.
The second lion is hit by Corik's solid gale, sending it to the ground mid-pounce.
The third lion pounces at Jade and Andrew who are behind the ice wall, as if to break through it, but ends up smashing into it, leaving nothing but a large crack to show for its efforts.
The last lion leaps in Aimee's direction, only to be met by Viola, tackles it head on giving it a shock, enough to stun it. When the sound of Aimee's voice shouting her attack hits her ears, she rolls out of the way, letting the mix of ice and snow freeze over its target.
((Lion is frozen for 3 rounds Sorry, Max.))
The illusion covering the other two Misus dissipates, and both appear to snap out of their respective visions and focus on the fight at hand.
((Abju's free'd up))
Cindi is awakened from what was apparently a waking dream, and looks around to see Max's lions. Knowing she was useless in combat, she turned to the Abjuration, taking a deep breath and looking at her hands. "Abju, hold still for me please!" Cindi ran over, and grasped the thing's finger, crying out in pain as the burn hit, trying to become the skin...
----------------------------
Jade nearly burst out laughing as soon as the lions face hit the wall. Seeing it come to a halt, and seeing its face smashed up against the wall like that was simply priceless. But enough of that, Jade took this opportunity to run and grab her spear, and buff up. "Gladiolus!"
((Cindi 36, Jade 3 Cindi will stay in Abju's skin for 5 rounds, Jade keeps her buff for 6))
The magical petals cover Cindi's body, encasing her in a glow. She grows a little over a foot and a half taller, buff up slightly, and the fires consume her body, the flames burning the petals away. The form is not perfect, and she still retains a feminine figure, but all and all, the skin is a success. Jade's buff goes well, as there is a burst of petals from her direction and an aura surrounds her body.
"FUCK YEAH, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!" Filled with energy and her usual reckless confidence, Jade bounded over the ice wall, brandishing her spear, taunting the two fire beings, egging them on, preparing to counter attack...
----------------------------------
Cindi opened her eyes, and looks down at the skin, her perspective having shifted upwards in transformation. While there was a nagging concern that this may or may not have burned her hair off, she shook it off once she laid eyes upon the ice wall, and the one standing behind it. Despite the heat, a chill ran through her brain and down her back, followed by a violent rage. She charged forward, intending to break through the wall to get to the young man behind it...
| The lion was down, but it wasn't out yet. He'd have to take the fight to it and be done with this before he could go after any of the other Misus that stood before them. Sprinting off towards the lion, he built up enough speed and leaped high into the air, plunging down towards the lion with one leg extended out in a High Jump Kick...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrew watched from behind his wall as Cindi changed her form into something resembling the fire creature. He knew she was headed for him, a gleam in her eyes as she set her course for him and his barrier betrayed how deeply she wanted revenge. Andrew knew he was no good in a straight out battle. His best bet would be to stay out of her range and try and keep her off balance. Focusing, the air around him began to freeze, his power converting the moisture in the air into glittering refractive surfaces.
"Inversion Aura!" he cried out as a heavy bank of fog roiled out from behind his barrier, hopefully think enough to hide him from clear view...
