| Malygris looked about the scene in the park with a satisfactory grin. Everything was going according to his plan. Fradubio was gathering vast quantities of energy from the humans that had not escaped it's initial appearance, and his agents were bringing more and more fodder within range of the creatures soporific aura where they were then bound by it's roots and drained of the energy that Malygris required.
From his vantage point in Fradubios boughs, he saw a white van speed along the road and quickly come to a stop, and 7 figures piled out before the van began to pull away, only to loose control shortly there-after and careen into a lamp-post, smoke billowing from under the hood, the driver passed out due to the effects of the spores that drifted about the area.
"So the Vilos have arrived at last," Malygris said. "Time now to let Fradubio tend to them."
Jumping down from his perch, he landed lightly on his feet, the tree creature towering over him.
Raising his voice so that all his agents could hear him, he called them to himself. "Come children, it's time we took our leave for now. Fradubio can handle things for now."
Snapping his fingers, Malygris and the Misus team vanished in a swirl of dark energy, retiring from the battlefield to let Malygris' monster take care of the Vilos.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Appearing on a roof-top a short distance away, Malygris and the rest of the Misus stepped from the warp out onto a rooftop overlooking the park. Glancing at his charges, he could see they were confused as to why he did not let them remain and fight the Vilos.
"Remember when I said fighting the Vilos is not your main objective? That hasn't changed. I've granted two of you with monsters similar to that one so that you wouldn't have to fight as much and could focus more on the gathering of energy. Fradubio is more than enough to accomplish that goal. We'll watch from here and step in should the need arise."
Turning back to the scene unfolding, he watched as his creation prepared itself for battle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The master and his aides had left Fradubio alone. Up rooting himself, he turned to face the group of people that tried to oppose him. Gathering a fraction of the energy he had absorbed from all the humans scattered about, he unleashed a new wave of spores towards the gathered Vilos...

| Viola looked up at the large tree. "Alright, Len. What do you make of it?" She watched as the tree-monster turned towards them. It was doing something other than that, but she couldn't tell exactly what it was doing. But the pollen-like cloud could not have been good. And the fact that it was coming towards them was even worse.
I think you should move out of the way at the moment.
"Good call." she nodded as she did her best to dash out of the way, not sure exactly how the cloud was going to spread. And as she was running, a small ball of lightning was forming hin her hands.
----------------------------
Meanwhile, Aiden was a little upset that he would be unable to fight the Vilos. He knew Malygris's reasons, but he was looking forward to experimenting with his new technique. He had only used it once, and it wasn't on moving targets.
Oh well. The best thing to do in this instance was to watch and wait. This would be a good time to study his enemies without getting into any danger.

| Jade was thinking about what to do when the van drove off and straight into a tree.
"Th' fuck?! Epol, what's going on?!"
That spore the tree is releasing...it seems to have some sore of sleep effect! Keep away from it!
Jade nodded and ducked back under the arch with the rest of the group.
((Viola 84, Aimee 32, Jade 13))
While Aimee and Jade manage to get back into the arch with ease, Viola trips and falls just short of the entrance on the cobblestone. The spore cloud blankets the area, covering Viola.
"Oh shit, Vi! Vi come on!"
Viola lies face down on the cobblestone covering her head, attempting to protect herself from the spore. It is then that her trinket begins to glow softly, getting brighter. At its brightest, it releases a spherical barrier, which appears like a dome over her, emitting sparks and a little electricity over the shape. It deflected the mysterious spore, sending them floating to the ground.
Epol...her trinket...? Do all of them do that?
There is that possibility...there is only one way to find out.
While she didn't like the uncertainty in his voice, there wasn't much else she could do. She took a breath and stopped out from under the entryway, her pendant activating almost immediately, the glow bursting into spherical barrier enclosing her body about two feet on all sides. When she moved, little petals seemed to fall from it.
"Heh...wow..." She turned to the rest of the group, smirking. "Come on out guys, the trinkets protect us." She looked toward to tree at the center of the park. "All right, lets go." Jade summons Eremurus, and walks out into the fog of spores.

| Fradubio didn't understand why the pests hadn't fallen asleep. No one could resist his pollen. Some kind of orb was preventing it form reaching them. Fradubio narrowed his eyes with a creaking of wood and grumbled to itself, the sound akin to that of the groan of trees in high winds.
One girl stepped out to oppose him, some kind of spear in her hands. Fradubio plunged it's front to leg-root's into the ground, sending a tangle of roots arching through the ground towards her,attempting to knock her back and bind her to the spot.

| Jade stopped about twenty feet from the tree, getting a good look at it. It was a ghastly looking thing, the sickly yellow spores pouring from it. She took another step, stumbling over what she thought was just another one of its roots, before noticing something...off about it. She looked down at it, before squealing and jumping backward.
"AHH! WHAT THE HELL?!"
The thing she had stumbled over wasn't just a root. Entangled within the tendrils was a person, thin, and barely conscious. Jade knelt down next to the figure, trying to get a closer look. The tendrils were literally drawing the energy from the person, sucking them dry.
"This is far worse that what I thought...wait." Jade turns her head just in time to see more roots shooting through the ground toward her. "FFFFFFUCK." Jade jumped up, attempting to retreat backward...
((Fradubio 65, Jade 100. HAAAAAAAAAAA.))
Fradubio's roots are too quick for the reckless and bumbling Jade. The roots wrap around her waist, arms and finally her ankles, and pull her sending her toppling forward to the ground, Eremurus knocked from her hands. She struggles, kicks, scratches at the ground and curses loudly, but to no avail. More, smaller roots emerge from the ground wrapping across her back and legs, binding her firmly to the ground.
"FUCK FUCK FUCK THESE DAMN ROOTS, AUGH!!" Jade screams back to her teammates, "THERE'S PEOPLE HERE! THE TREE'S SUCKING ENERGY FROM THE PEOPLE!"
((if you character loses a roll against Fradubio's roots, they'll be bound for 1d6 rounds. Because Jade got a perfect 100, she's automatically bound for 6))

| Viola rose from the ground, shaking her head. Looking down at her hands, she saw that the ball of lightning she had started was fully formed.and ready. And she had to take care of things fast, while the tree-thing wasn't focussing on her. And it was sure to after she made her move. She couldn't cause attention like Jade did.
In fact, just in case something like that happened, she took a little more energy and formed a kind of electrical bodysuit. "Static shield." She muttered. That way, if the tree did manage to catch her, it would have an incentive not to keep her held for long.
She stretched out the ball of lightning into a super-charged arrow and fired at the tree while it was not looking at her.

| After reaching the arch, Aimee took a small pause to look at what happened. Seeing Viola on the ground was a bit frightening, but apparently her trinket was protecting her... "Well, that should make things easier," she thought with relief. She watched as Jade walked toward the tree, only to be caught in its roots.
"OK, not that easier, finally. Time to think about a plan," she pondered, wondering what she could do to help the others. Plants generally didn't like ice, but then again, she doubted she could just cover the whole tree. Maybe if she could freeze the roots, they'd stop trying to catch them or be easy to break, or stop sucking energy... "Wait, what?" A shiver passed down her spine as she realized what Jade had said. This was far worst than what she had thought...
Shrugging the thoughts away, Aimee attempted to come up with something. If she just attacked, the tree could catch her easily, at least judging from the speed it had used against Jade. And she wouldn't be useful pinned to the ground. Ice spikes didn't seem that effective against a giant wooden being anyway.
Then again, she'd need to do some test on the roots before knowing if what she wanted to do really work, and for that, she needed to get closer. The tree being apparently still distracted by its last catch, she figured it was a good time to move. Walking away from the arch, she formed a soft ice bomb and aimed it toward the roots, trying to freeze some of them over.

| ((Viola 43, Aimee...98. Suh-weet Jesus.))
Viola's bolt arrow shoots through the air, striking a limb and its branches. There isn't much left of the limb, and the cracking of old wood echoes throughout the park, as well as the painful, other-worldly howl Fradubio lets out. Aimee sadly, has no such luck. She mis calculates the "softness" of her bomb, letting the pressure build too much. The bomb explodes just as she lets go of it, shooting icy slivers at her, slitting the skin of her arms, and one pierces her thigh, right below the hem of her skirt.
Jade continued to struggle, but it seemed the more she did so, the tighter the roots bound her to the ground. She barely raised her head above the ground, just in time to see Aimee's bomb backfire on her, wounding her. "Aimee!"
----------------------------------------
Cindi watched from the rooftop with the other Misus filled with a strange giddiness uncharacteristic of her usual bubbly, good-natured demeanor. When Fradubio's roots caught hold of the flower girl and dragged her across the ground, she nearly squealed, the only thing keeping her from doing so was when she bit her lip. She was standing near the edge of the roof, leaning over the railing, taking in the destruction. She turned back to everyone, grinning. "Wow, this is kinda fun! Runnin' wild, fuckin' people's shit! Gets me all excited!" She gave another little jump before turning her attentions back to Fradubio. "Whoooo! Go Fradubio! Kick some Vilo ASS!"

| Corik couldn't believe what he was seeing. close to one hundred people lay scattered around the monstrous tree thing in the center of the park. All of them had little root like things attached to them and they all looked sunken and malnourished. It was leeching their energy, and the longer they let it, the stronger it would become. They really needed to stop it soon.
Looking around the corner, he was just in time to see Jade hit full on in the chest, knocked to the ground and rooted there.
Viola and Aimee then ran past him, and launched an assault at the creature, Viola's arrow striking home, but Aimee's attack backfiring on her. She didn't seem to be too badly injured, the piece of shrapnel lodged in her leg not very big.
"Are you ok?" he asked, glancing back to the tree to see what it would do.
She assured him she would be fine and gritted her teeth before wrenching the shard out, a thin trickle of blood coming out of the puncture hole in her thigh. One last glance at the tree thing gave Corik an idea. It was quite focused on Viola and everyone else, and the tunnel for the arch came out behind it somewhere, where it wasn't looking. If he could get behind it, he'd get a good shot in almost definitely.
"WARFANGS!" he cried out, his weapons bursting into reality around his hands and feet. Gathering his power, he bolted of down the tunnel, hoping that his comrades could keep the tree occupied.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrew was essentially combat worthless. He knew that much. His talents were much more viable in every situation other than that. There were too many people to try and free from the root's that bound them, and the most viable option was to destroy the monster that was causing the destruction. Then Jade went down. All thoughts fled his mind as he saw her fall to the ground. Viola and Aimee prepared for an assault as he ran from cover for Jade, all thoughts for his own safety tossed to the wind as ran. Half way there, he heard the clap of thunder and the bellow of pain from the monster. Still he ran, thankful that at least now the monster was distracted. He heard Jade yell "Aimee" and he glanced back to see her bomb backfire, peppering her with shrapnel from her own attack. She seemed to still be standing though so that was a good sign. Coming to a halt by Jades prone form, he whirled around on one heel and brought the other leg up and down in a crushing downwards kick, thrusting his power into the ground. Glacial Barrier he yelled as a wall of ice burst forth from the ground, putting a wall between him and Jade and the tree creature. Looking her over, he took note of the roots binding her. They were too thick for him to be able to free her with his bare hands, and so instead placed one hand on the wall behind him and focused his power, pulling a dagger like sliver from the wall. Using the sharp edge of his ice blade, he began sawing through the fibers that bound Jade.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fradubio screamed in pain and rage as the lightning seared into it's bark and one of it's limbs was blown off, falling to the ground in a crashing of foliage and breaking of twigs. from the blackened stump oozed a think red liquid, almost like not quite tree sap, but too think for blood. Enraged at the Vilos girl who threw the lightning, Fradubio leaned back and flung two branches forward, launching two Pine-cone bombs at the Vilos.

| Viola grinned at the accuracy of her shot, but now she had other things to worry about. Aimee was injured, and Jade was still out. Andrew was working on getting Jade out of her predicament, so that was one less thing that she had to worry about.
She dashed over to Aimee, picking her up by her shoulders and dragging her away from the fray. It was at that moment she noticed the pine cones coming towards the two of them. She tried to move a little faster, attempting to avoid the projectiles coming towards her.

| The shock from the explosion had passed, and Aimee was slowly regaining her spirits. She had been paying too much attention to the tree and its roots, and not enough to her own attack. "My bad," she thought, passing a hand on her thigh to see how bad the wound was. Fortunately, the ice shards were still all pretty small when the bomb exploded, thus resulting in minor damages.
A question from Corik brought her back to reality and, after reassuring him, she quickly removed the shard from her wound, a bolt of pain running up to her brain. She then looked at her arms, making sure everything was alright. Although the scratches were a bit painful, and would need to be disinfected later, they didn't seem to be any risk to her immediate health. The wound in her thigh was a bit more painful, considering the flesh around it stretched anytime she moved.
"Meh, could have been worst," she thought, a bit annoyed at the situation. Before she could do anything else, she felt Viola grabbing her and pulling her away, and then noticed pine cones coming in their direction. She jumped to the side as quickly as she could, trying to dodge the tree's attack.

| ((Andrew 15 and 9, Fradubio 23, Viola 53, Aimee 60))
Andrew's wall comes up tall and sturdy, enough to keep any stray roots and direct attacks at bay. He takes the makeshift ice dagger from the wall, and begins the task of freeing Jade from Fradubio's roots. The dagger proves quite sharp, and many of the smaller roots around her arms and upper legs are cut from Jade, leaving only the bigger ones around her waist and ankles to contend with.
Fradubio flings the pine cone bombs at the two Vilos girls in a rage, the two projectiles almost whistling through the air as they landed near Viola and Aimee, causing a small explosion as each hit the ground. While neither bomb hits the girls directly, it lands close enough to knock them backward, sending them tumbling across the ground. Aimee, being dragged by Viola and in worse shape, got the brunt of the explosions. When the smoke and dust clears, Aimee and Viola are lying several feet from each other, lying face down on the ground and covered in dirt and grime.
As Andrew ran to her aid, Jade couldn't help but think Aw, my hero. Once the wall went up and he began sawing at the roots, Jade couldn't help but utter aloud, "My hero!" and proceeded to help him tear the smaller roots off, now that her arms were free.

| Crouched near the park, an illusion of pain and fatigue, distress and terror forming at the back of his mind, Adrian surveyed the surrounding area, his vision heightened to the extreme by his power. Today was suppose to be relaxing. We were suppose to get a day off. First chance in a while to check in on investments and... suggestions. First day to step away from this impossible world.
He begins scan further away, looking over rooftops, using his own discontent to fuel the illusion he was building, raging seas, black endless abyss, absolute solidarity punctuated by untold horrors. He redoubles his search, sure that the Misus would be nearby, watching their handiwork, his outward demeanor calm and collected as he builds a tempest within, calming his mind to put these irritations and stresses to use.
Can't think of how useful this is. Can't think of how calming. Can't think of the Misus as beneficial in any way. He repeated to himself, his predatory senses tuned to searching out the Misus.

| ((Adrian 39))
All at once, Adrian's senses heightened greatly, and he began looking about wildly, eyes darting from spot to spot, rooftop to rooftop, searching for his target. He ran to a hill for higher ground, until his eyes fell on one of the taller buildings nearby. Zooming in on the six figures perched on the roof, he was able to find the Misus' location, and pointed to them, making sure to send a message to Andrew of their location.
Cindi's glee suddenly melted away, as she began to feel an ominous wind blowing in her mind, like the brewing of a storm. She darted from one end of the roof to the other, leaning way over the balcony trying to figure out where that feeling was coming from.
"Where izzit, where izzit, where th' FUCK izzit?!" She then fell an odd sensation, as if there was a laser sight pointed right at her, a bight red dot hovering and shaking on her forehead or torso. She follows where the odd sensation is coming from, her eyes falling upon what appears to be a boy in a fox costume, glaring at them hard from below. Though he was too far to be certain, Cindi got the sneaking suspicion that the young man was not at all happy with the turn of events...
"Uhm. Guys?" Cindi turned to the group behind her. "I think we're been spotted."
