| *pokes thread until it looks at least semi-alive*
First, please read the post above and comment if it concerns you (else a time skip will happen sometime this weekend).
Second, hi guys! How are you all?
Third, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in doing, I'm not sure what to call them... RP nights? Yup, that's probably the most fitting name.
Basically, since I'll be having a lot of free time between December 15th and January 15th, I'm looking for something to occupy my otherwise-gonna-become-crazy brain and thought about making some special events. So I thought about having role-players meet a few times during that period to role-play (duh). We would either concentrate on one already existing game or start a new one (that could stay open after that night or just last a few days and then be closed). And since it'd be some sort of event, I might had participation prizes and stuff. *whistles innocently*
So yeah, opinions are always welcome ^^
*goes to add related poll*

| I'm tired, for the most part. But that's nothing new at this hour.
I think a time skip would probably be a good idea. It'll get past the intros and get us into whatever non-existant plot you want to go into.
It would be nice to revive some of the floundering roleplays during your free time.

| Ah, I hope your tiredness will go away soon ^^ *gives you some energy drink*
Yup, that's sorta what I was thinking. Get over with the intro, get rid of the inactive people, and jump into the plot (which at this time is still existing, though only in my head <.<*).
That's why I was thinking about having some intensive posting time. I said nights since late evening is generally when most people are active around here, but it could also be a full day or something.
Anyway, yes, I was thinking about restarting a game (and more if it goes well) during that time. Although, I don't wanna spend too long on the usual introduction of characters and settings, so if people could reserve some time where they would post more and all, we could get over that part quickly and jump into action. Thus came the idea of having special times where we try to gather and play.

| I'm not really fond of energy dr-zzzzzzzzz......
Yeah, I hate to resort to restarting or resetting games, but it seems like that might be the only way to get any players.

| I saw to post if you said maybe... and it's mostly because I don't know
a: how busy I'm going to be
and
b: how my muse is going to feel about it.
But if something piques me, I shall definitely attempt. I have a short attention span when it comes to RPs, so it needs to be GOOD to keep me going.

No (well, yes, but back on the topic), seriously, the dates would be discussed with everyone wishing to participate and, depending of the popularity, chances are I'd try to make a few (2 or 3 at least) during my winter break, so hopefully you'll at least be able to participate in one.
As for the muse/interest thing, well, I can't really do anything and will understand if the subject happens to not inspire you (or anyone else for that matter). The role-play will probably be discussed a bit here anyway, to see what the participants would prefer and all, so feel free to throw in ideas if you have any.
Right now I'm thinking about restarting one of the role-plays that died, or just start one of those I was supposed to start anyway (yes, I mean the steampunk one), but we could also go for new themes and plots.

| Now the steampunk one would be great! I have two pending characters for that, and now I just need to decide which one to use.

| I voted maybe.... I'm interested in maybe participating in something like this I have never RPed before in my life though, however it sounds quite interesting and I'd love to try. If someone could guide me through how to set up a character and how to do things, this might be something I could really get into! I love to write and want to get more involved in the community here on Midorea :3

| Ah, welcome to the guild, and to role-playing in general! ^^
The base of role-playing is pretty similar to writing: create a character (or more) and make him act according to how is he supposed to be; make a plot of some sort and follow it, making it grow as things move on, etc. Oh, and follow the rules of each game, just to make sure you don't accidentally annoy people by doing something you're not suppose to do.
I'd suggest just jumping into one of the games in the Theater, as it's probably easier to understand how to role-play by actually playing than by reading explanations about it. The Guild has a game that doesn't really require anything special (and that I need to go update after this), but anyone that interests you and is still active should be good. Well, that or a one-on-one should be a good place to start ^^
