Cindi merely smiled at the look Bella gave her. Though she had meant like in the platonic sense, Bella's look was adorable.

"Haha, Ce n'est pas ce que je voulais dire, mais vous êtes les bienvenus en tout cas." Cindi smiled at the two of them. They seemed to be so ill-versed in matters of emotion neither of them knew what to do with themselves. And while she was completely aware of everything going on and could help them, pushing them wouldn't solve anything. So she sat quietly, occasionally rubbing Bella's shoulder.

The three of them sit in silence for nearly five minutes. Not uncomfortable; as if the silence in and of itself was the only one that could express the emotions appropriately. The silence was only broken by Bella's occasional sniffing, Aiden shifting about uncomfortably, and Cindi patting her leg every now and then.

"Well...I'ma head out now. Gotta look over the pics of that girl and prepare for tomorrow." Cindi removed her arm and got up, gathering the photos of the girl and her purse. She walked to the bedroom door, turning toward them before leaving, hanging on the threshold. "I'll see you tomorrow after 6th period Bella. Mkay? I'll text Max to confirm the plan. Laters!" Cindi flashed a goofy smile at the two of them, then bounded down the stairs, saying goodbye to Aiden's dad, and walked home.

"But there is no school tomorrow." Bella muttered after thinking a few moments, it was Friday after all. She shook her head figuring in her excitement Cindi had forgotten what day it was or something of the sort. She also couldn't get out of her head that Cindi hadn't meant liking Aiden the way she had took it.

She suddenly realized she was still sitting right next to him. Of course for some reason it didn't seem to annoy her like it normally would with other guys. For some reason when Aiden was close to her instead of being annoyed she would become nervous. She wasn't sure what it was about him that made her feel that way or why.

She then also noticed that for some reason she was feeling much better than she had been. "I should probably head home soon myself. I don't feel quite up to driving yet though. That and my grampop would jump out of his grave if I wrecked the car he left me cause I had been tearing up." She said almost laughing at the slight joke she had made. She adjusted her glasses and sat there for a while longer memories and thoughts going through her mind.

Aiden nodded silently, still not quite sure what to say. For now, he just listened to her. Listening seemed to be the best thing to do at the moment. When she mentioned having to drive home, he looked up. "Well... would you like me to drive with you? I can walk home myself afterwards. It's no big deal." He gave a casual shrug.

He felt that that was the right thing to do, plus it meant he could be near her longer. Whenever she was nearby, Aiden felt a little better. It was the same kind of rush as the one that he got when he was on a roll with his research. As of late, his days have been blurred together, a dull cycle of schoolwork and at-home-research, except for the meetings with Cindi and Bella. Even though Cindi could be trying at times, Bella's presence always seemed to calm him.

Bella was startled from her thoughts at his offer. "Sure if it really wouldn't be a bother to you." She said after a few minutes of thinking it over. Normally she would have told anyone else no but not Aiden. She still wasn't sure exactly why that was but she would figure that out latter. At the moment being near him was keeping her calm and after telling him about her grandfather she was feeling better.

There was also getting to around him a bit longer without anyone else around. For some reason she couldn't bring herself to hate Aiden like she was able to with most other guys. Again she told herself it was something she would have to figure out latter. "I guess we should get going then. That way you can make the walk home before it gets to dark or anything." She said a weak smile on her face as she stood up from her spot on the bed waiting for Aiden.

After a few minutes she noticed he was ready and they left telling his father bye and that Aiden would be back home soon. The resulting car ride to her home was rather quite. Of course this was ok with Bella she and Aiden had a common understanding that neither liked small talk. Soon she was pulling into the driveway of her house and telling Aiden that she would see him latter or something. She went inside her empty house finding a note from her parents next to some cookies her mom had made. She shook her head tossing the note and grabbing a handful of the cookies heading to her room to play WoW for the night.

Andrew stood for a moment, rubbing his chin is thought as Jade sat quietly, watching him think. (or perhaps just watching him...) What she was asking was most certainly doable, and even though it wasn't numbered among his best talents, Andrew knew of more than a few ways to hide things that didn't need to be found.

"Anything you need sweetheart," he said bowing deeply and flourishing to emphasize the point. Still bent, he looked up at her, a smile on his face. "Milady has but to ask and it shall be done. I might not be a master illusion-crafter, but that doesn't mean I'm not more than capable." he finished. Straightening himself, he saw the relief flash across her face, as well as a smirk at his antics.

"I'll do some digging later and find out more about this Ivan and whoever else he's got with him. I'll see what I can do to deter him that way, or at least impede what he's trying to do. If all he's after is information, he won't be the only one that's playing that game."

About to sit down and enjoy Jade's company, Andrew felt his pari's power blossom into existence, and swell to cover a very large area. He'd need to see what his pari was doing.

Returning his attention to Jade, he smiled and said, "As much as I'd love to sit here with you, and trust me... that's a lot, but alas, I must check up on Adrian." With one last glance at Jade, he turned and left the locker room.

Glancing over to where he felt the power come from, he saw the study, but couldn't make out what was in it. "Must be Adrian's doing." he thought. "First things first though."

Running out to his motorcycle, he popped open the seat compartment and rummaged around, digging past the insurance papers and other things, looking for something very specific. Reaching the bottom of the compartment, he found what he was looking for, and pulled out a small leather bag, tucking it into a pocket before going back inside.

Bracing himself, he entered the aura of his pari, examining with a critical eye the shift from his familiar training atmosphere, the bookshelves and computers in the study, the view of the rest of the warehouse, to the brickwall and cement of a subway station. He'd even managed to get people in here. People were hard in an illusion, they had their own mannerisms, each one was different, they couldn't all move the same, they had to do different things, they each had their own face... people were a challenge.

"A testament to my pari" he thought, "And not too shabby a reflection on my tutelage." Looking around, he admired his students handiwork... until he found the one error; and that was the teenaged boy, dressed in orange, brown, and white, with a mask, sitting in a chair facing a blank wall, focused very intently on something that only he could see.

Adrian, Andrew sent out mentally, Pull in the illusion. You did just fine, but you forgot to hide yourself. Kinda killed the effect.

Andrew cut the connection and stood back as Adrian withdrew his power, the illusion fading and reality reasserting itself in the wake of his receding aura. The last vestiges of his power returned and the illusion well and truly over, Adrian opened his eyes.

"You had a good illusion kiddo. Almost convinced me till I saw you. Next time I test your illusions and you forget to keep yourself out of them, I'm not letting you get away with just me tellin' you about it. Now though, we have another project."

Pulling out the leather bag, he moved over to a table and upended the contents. A dozen or so gems of various colors spilled out into a nice little heap. Andrew sorted through them, pulling out two clear stones and sweeping the rest back into the bag. Turning back and handing one to Adrian, he began explaining what they were going to do.

"I know you saw those two guys that showed up earlier. Well, they'll be back eventually, and we can't let that happen, so Jade wants us to keep them out of our hair. With what I have in mind, we should be able to keep em turned around for plenty of time. The warehouse is set far enough back that you can't see it fro the road except down the driveway, so all we need to do is disguise it. That rock you have is quartz, and I know it sounds all kinds of corny, but gems really do have an ability to hold onto power we put into them. They're going to act as anchors for this illusion so we both don't have to actively keep it going. And so, these should be pretty neutral stones, and they should be empty, so what we're going to do is fill them up with our power, then when we're done with that, we'll go set up the illusion. This way instead of us having to be out there all the time to keep it going, we'll only have to recharge these every week or so."

When Adrian didn't offer any immediate questions, Andrew assumed that he got the idea and left his to his own devices.

Walking over to the ice rink, Andrew stepped onto the rink, eschewing ice skates and just took some care not to slip. Making it to the middle of the rink, he transformed, ice erupting around him from the expenditure of his power. Looking at the result, he scoffed.

"Gonna take more than a Zamboni to smooth that out." he said before sitting down on the ice. Closing his eyes, he focused on the stone in his hands, beginning to channel his own energy into it.

Jade pouted a bit when Andrew said he had to leave, but nodded and let him go. She felt a tiny jump in her stomach at the one last glance he gave her, and then he was gone. She sat on the bench, smiling to herself.

You know this is not what you are here to do. You two both have pari's to train. You will have plenty of time to be infatuated with one another after you get your training done.

"Mmhmm..." Jade was barely listening, her thoughts wandering.

JADE!

She jumped up, nearly ending up on the floor again. "JESUS, FUCK--! WHAT EPOL?!"

Get to your TRAINING, that is what.

Jade sat rubbing her temples for a minute before standing up, to transform. She cupped her trinket and transformed. Everything felt in place, and she walked past one of the mirrors...then backtracked, leaning back and staring at her outfit. The bold shades of red, yellow, orange and green had been replaced with muted, earthy tones. Her top was an off white, with the bow on her chest and at her back were an olive green. The grips on her hands were the same off white color, while the cuffs were mauve. Her shorts had been replaced by a relatively short, flowing skirt, which stopped three and a half inches above the knee, and was olive green at the waist, which slowly changed to mauve and faded to white at the hem. He flats were a decorated combination of all the colors on her outfit.

"...Epol? Why is my outfit different colors?"

Because you asked dearie.

"...Oh." Jade did a small once over, turning in the mirror. "Heh, not bad. Why a skirt though?"

That was not my doing. That was yours. And yes, I do have an idea why.

"Ahahaha...oh." Jade blushed slightly, and stood quietly for a bit.

And just so you know, I personally, do not care what the rest of the Vilos think about inter-sene relationships. We do not have relationships the way you all do, and from what we can tell, they are far more trouble than they are worth. But as long as you do not let...whatever it is you and Andrew have get in the way of your duties.

"Yeah...thanks Epol."

Anytime dearie. Now go do your job. And call Corik. He has yet to show up.

The rest of track practice had gone essentially the same way. The coach would just stand there and eye Corik suspiciously every time he finished first by a sizable margin. No matter what they had to do, running sprints, leaps, multiple area exercises, Corik easily outpaced his teammates, winning handily.

"It's not me own fault Jade works me harder than this. All these routines are just too easy now." he thought while waiting for the rest of his classmates to finish the most recent task. It wasn't even very hard, just another series of suicides...

"How long until you finish this? They're beginning to miss you at the warehouse.

"I dunno how much longer he's gonna keep us here. Maybe until I don't win? He seems kinda off-put that I'm not tired yet."

"Well that's not fair at all. I mean look at the rest of them. That one kid just threw up."

"ooh... all over the wall." he said. "That's just nasty."

The coach blew the whistle shortly after that, called most of them pansies, was insulted that not a single person even came close to Spicy McHaggis over there, gesturing at Corik and said he expected better of them. He had plans and blahblahblah...

Corik wasn't really interested in whatever he was going on about. He'd win his races no problem. He just wanted to be done and get to the warehouse. He was ready to do something other than just run about. Maybe he'd go against Drei or something. He'd been itching to see how his Fist of the South Wind would match up against those little fire-balls he shot.

Soon as the coach said "see you tomorrow," Corik was gone. First into the locker room, first in the shower, first out the door.

"Warehouse here I come" he said as he hopped into his truck and drove off to the warehouse.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TIME PASSES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Corik jumps out of his truck and walks into the warehouse.
"Afternoon people. Did I miss anything?" he asks as he walks back towards the locker room to toss his cellphone and keys so he doesn't risk them not coming back with the rest of his clothes.
Cyrel had left the shooting range well target room as she called it as soon as Drei had come in. She had cleaned up her mess of puddles from missed hits as well as some decent hits on a few of the targets and dismissed her self. She was now swimming more laps still kindave irritated at the intrusion of people that didn't belong there being on the premises.
"You really are to high strung sometimes you know that child?" Varia asked after a few moments.
"I know; you, and Jade, and Corik keep telling me that about three times a day." She thought back as she climbed out of the pool to begin training with Poseidon for a while.
"Just making sure is all. You really should calm down some your going to over stress yourself one of these days and all your hair will fall out." Varia laughed a bit knowing how Cyrel was over her hair.
"Not funny Varia." She said out loud this time tugging at her braid a bit before letting it go glaring at the ceiling as she went through a few new moves her grandpa had been teaching her. The only thing she really felt she needed to work a lot more on was her aim with her new attack. She rolled her eyes at Corik walking in late figuring Jade could fill him in on what he had missed. So she just went back to her training.
Jade walks out to the warehouse floor slowing down by the study slightly by the study door, then continuing on, phone in hand when she spots Corik rushing through the door. She flips her phone closed and goes back to put it in her purse before returning to the poolside. She approaches Corik, speaking with a slight irritation in her voice. "You're late. Where were you?" After Corik gives his explanation, she sighs and nods. "Ah. Right. Well. Let's get to your training then. Give me an update on what you've been doing on the roof there."
-------------------
Just as Cindi made her way out the front door of Aiden's house she realized they didn't have school tomorrow. "Oh...yeah...hm." She whipped out her phone sending Bella a text:
4got no school tomorrow. pick me up @ the school grounds ne way @ 11 am, it's a good meeting spot. ill tell my stepmom i have a group project of something so she can drop me off. I'll let max know too.
Make sure ur wearin ur costume! <3
After sending the text to Bella, she sent a similar one to Max. Hopefully the two of them would not have to wait there too long, Max still scared her a bit. On the walk home, she mentally prepared herself for the day ahead. She had her technique down, but she knew that changing to some other than Aiden was going to be a challenge; he was the only one she had to practice on for the past few weeks. Cindi entered her house, to find no one at home; Papa and her stepmom probably went out to eat, so she made her way up to her bedroom to pick out a costume to wear tomorrow.
Aimee had opted for a "special" training for the day. Quickly changing into her outfit and throwing her things in a locker after reaching the warehouse, she had immediately climbed unto the roof, thus missing most of the incident with Mr. Proctor. Sitting in a corner, she attempted to relax and meditate, and not to freeze alive.
"What are you trying to do, child?" the familiar voice of Zil resonated in her head after a moment.
"I just want to test my attacks in a more realistic setting," Aimee answered, getting up and starting to look around. She had been practising her ice bomb and her new attack inside the rink for a while, but chances were there wouldn't be ice around the next time they'd meet the Misus. So, she wanted to train in a natural environment, and the roof of the warehouse seemed like the best place right now.
"Hm, just be sure you don't catch a cold," Zil added before his presence faded away.
Shrugging, Aimee replaced her outfit. Apparently, it was protecting her from the cold, or maybe it was the magical energy... Nevertheless, she felt warm enough to be able to train for some time, which was nice. Guess I should have known that, since it protected me when I was training inside, she thought.
Finally finding was she was looking for, a small puddle of water in a corner of the roof, she stood and concentrated her energy on it, trying to freeze it, then to move it. After a few unsuccessful times, she was able to shape a bomb, and then went on with the following steps of her attacks. She pursued her training for some time, concentrating on what she was doing and not much on the time passing.
After what might have been an hour, she decided it was time to call it a day. Looking around at the roof that was now almost completely covered in snow and ice, she smiled. It would all melt away soon, considering the temperature, but it gave her a good idea of how efficient she could be. She went back inside, standing in the hallway for a minute or two, getting use to the warmer temperature, before returning to the locker room and changing back into her clothes. She then grabbed her bag and headed for a corner of the study room to read.
Adrian shook his head as he stood, feeling a little dizzy, the world spinning for a moment as the illusion faded, the subway station melting away, the people vanishing, the warehouse returning, undisturbed, the illusion having never existed. Joining his Sene at the table, Adrian lifts one of the crystals, holding it to the light, examining the quartz, berating himself for failing to remember to remove himself from the illusion. Amateur mistake... have to be careful about that...
He nodded as the gems were explained, raising his eyebrows lightly but shortly thereafter nodding his acceptance and understanding of the task at hand, giving a wave as his mentor left, staring intently at the crystals, somewhat amazed by their abilities, but starting to expect these kinds of things.
Adrian took a few of the gems from the bag, examining them momentarily before placing them back in the bag for later use, making a mental note to pick up a set for himself, taking the quartz in his hand to a chair, watching out the window before closing his eyes and starting to focus his energy into the gem.
Bella looked at her phone after a while noticing a text from Cindi. It had been sent to her a while ago and she was just now noticing it. She sent an alright text back and looked back to the screen. "Oh come the fuck on seriously guys. I leave the screen for two seconds and the entire raid falls apart what the hell. Logging out got shit to do." She said into her headset logging out of WoW for a while.
"Costume eh?" She muttered to herself reading the text again to be sure she was right on everything. "Hmmm guess I better look and see what I got left from last year." She said getting up from her computer and going to her closet. After a while she managed to find what she decided would be the best and easiest thing to wear. Seeing as she didn't want to get makeup all over her new car and she didn't have enough green or purple to pull off a troll orc.
"Blood elf hunter it is now where are those fucking contacts." She muttered making sure all the pieces of the costume were together. She was pretty good at making her own costumes from scratch of course she really only made them for if she was ever able to go to Blizzcon which never seemed likely but dressing up as her chars was fun from time to time. That and she kindave wondered what Aiden's reaction would be to her outfit though she wasn't sure why. After fifteen minutes of making sure all piece's for the costume was there she went downstairs and made herself something to eat sand went back to her room to log back into WoW.
"Well..." He began, thinking back to exactly what he had been doing up on the roof.
"It's really just been the same kind of stuff you have me do in here, but instead of havin' me wind pre-made or even just usin' the air inside, I've been workin' more on using just the air. I started thinkin' bout what you said early on when I first started this whole magical thing about how all of our elements have their attitudes and how it's not always so willing to work with us. And it's not like I'm Cyrel whose gotta have that handy source of water. Air's everywhere so I figure I should get used to dealing with it."
Jade nods in response, and proceeds to let Corik and Cyrel have their own private training sessions, making her way to the greenhouse to train on her own. The rest of the day passes without any more interruptions, and everyone heads home around 5:00 pm.
~October 30th, Ironbridge High School, front steps, 10:46 am~
Cindi sat on the steps in front of the school, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Max and/or Bella. She tapped her heel against the concrete step, fiddling with her tongue ring, fixing her hair, playing with her phone, tugging at the skirt and petticoats on her outfit, adjusting herself under the corset and pulling the stockings and garters up...
"Ugh, calmati!"
Cindi rifled through her purse, looking for her mirror to check her makeup. She removed the opera mask on her face checking her profile and powder, and checked her hair, which was in an updo. She could've gone all out with a powdered wig, but she couldn't find one and didn't feel like having to go out and buy one. She put everything in place, and put the mirror away and put her mask back on. He stepmother had been very suspicious about Cindi going out in an outfit for a school project, until Cindi told her it was for history, and her stepmother lit up, insisting that she take a cake with her for her friends. Cindi eyed the cake that was sitting next to her bag, one eyebrows raised.
Io ancora non so che cosa per ...
Bella stood in front of her mirror making sure everything was in place. When it came to costumes she went all out and her blood elf hunter outfit was no exception. Though it was made of mostly leather and a mesh type cloth to look like chain mail it was still complicated to put on. Seeing as the pants split away revealing her upper thighs. The belt she had made out of leather and amber like jewels only one was an actual piece of amber and that was the center.
"Stupid top you can tell a guy came up with female armor design. The less it covers the higher the stats rule always applies." She muttered as she put on what looked more like and armored bra than a top. Seeing as her entire stomach abs and all were showing along with a large amount of her cleavage. She pulled on the neck piece which was also leather and fake amber Attaching the shoulder armor to it after she got the fake mesh sleeves over her arms.
She was able to rush getting the rest of her outfit on seeing as she had already taken the hour she needed to get the solid green contacts into her eyes as well as dye her hair back to its natural all black color. "Uck I miss my green." She pouted into the mirror as she tied the leather headband around her head and placed the fake elongated eyebrows and ear in place.
"Ok time to go don't want to be late. Shit I might be." She muttered seeing the time grabbing the cloak to her costume and attaching it really quick and grabbing her keys basically jumping in the car. "Why did I care so much yeesh normally I just go what the hell." She muttered to herself as she drove to the school pulling up to see Cindi sitting there with a cake. "Whats with the cake?" She asked getting out of the car leaning against it to wait.
