And now I'm reading The Pub at the Center of the Universe, a book by my favorite webcomic author! And it's an autographed copy!

I'm actually working on three books at the moment - going back and forth between them. Christine by Stephen King, Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris and At the Mountains of Madness (plus some other stories) by HP Lovecraft. I've been working on Christine for a few months now, I just don't have much time to sit and read save for bedtime or a few minutes in the bathroom.

I just finished reading Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card. ^^ When I finally get some real free time, I'll start reading the next book, Xenocide, of that series.

It's been ages since I seriously read for enjoyment. Mostly because early on I read so much that it came to a point when I was disappointed with a lot of the books I read. A lot of the books nowadays aimed at my age group, have this weird quality that just repels me from them.

Anyways, current book; A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink.
I started reading a little bit of this last year, and because one of my teachers found it relevant to the subject of one of my courses, it was included into the curriculum.
I really urge people to read this book. As the world progresses, a lot of the jobs that are highly sought after are being shipped over-seas because there are people there who can do it faster, more efficiently, and most importantly; they cost less. Because of this migration of work, people who are better off in places like North America should open themselves to the possibilities of working in the creative areas, in work that can not be done by just applying knowledge. This book is designed to prepare you with a whole new mindset to work in the coming age.
For me, this book is really encouraging me along the path that I have chosen. It showed me that the work I do isn't just for show, that people will come to acknowledge the importance of design and aesthetics. The world is in a revolution, possibly the biggest one in history. It's changing, which can most easily be seen in our advances in technologies. With some help from this book I plan to be ready for the new world.
Some people tend to find Pink's writing a bit dry, all that information hard to swim through. I do agree, but his view on the world is exciting and I plan to keep reading to the end.

Aaaaanyways. That's just my bit on this one book. Yeah. Lots of good concepts. Fun stuffs, people xD

I'm currently reading "Chaos Walking Book One: The Knife of Never Letting Go" by Patrick Ness. It's the first part in his "Chaos Walking"-trilogy and it seems pretty nice. Have read about halfway through by now. Even though it's nice I'm not sure I will read the second book as well once I'm done with this one.
