| I'm sorely disappointed - my sister chose a PS3 over a 360. So now we have a PS3, and I want to make the most of it.
Any game suggestions? I've never been a huge gamer, so I can't really summarize what I like. I'm decent at first-person shooters (for a girl). I like good storylines. I like interaction.
I don't know what else to say. XD List the top games that you'd recommend to anyone and be sure to include why. Discussion will ensue.

| I only have a PS2, but once in a while I'll go to my brother's house. His roomate has a PS3 he lets us use. I'm personally fond of these games:
Fallout 3: It's a good post apocalyptic FPS. The game takes notes of your actions and periodically changes the nature of how characters react to you depending on if you decide to be a nice guy, evil dude, or neutral bum. There is a main quest that you can follow, but you're welcome to wander around the world, smiting things for fun and profit.
Little Big Planet: A fun little time waster puzzle game. I actually didn't want to play it, at first. But I got pestered into playing by my brother. It's cute, and funny, and generally something that's enjoyable with friends.
Assassins Creed: Crusade era parkour, with strange science fictiony undertones. You sneak around, kill stuff using stealth and swords, and sometimes a good shove off the side of a building.
Resistance: The Fall of Man: Another post apocalyptic kind of FPS. This one is more linear than Fallout. It kind of runs like the Call of Duty games, except it has mutants instead of terrorists or whatever you fight in the CoD games. It also has a multiplayer mode that you can play with people.
Guitar Hero/Rock Band (Most titles): Another time waster that's fun with friends.

| Huh, I'll look into a few of those. My boyfriend plays Fallout 3, so I'll ask him what he thinks too. Thanks.

| You're welcome. There was another game I would play at someone else's house, but apparently it didn't make that big of an impression, if I can't even remember its' name.

| Hey Chu, I don't think you have much to worry about, a lot of games on the 360 aren't exclusive and you don't have to pay to play online :P
I gotta agree on Assassin's Creed. Yes, if you ever thought doing parkour must be fun, you'll love this! XD Pretty good game, I'm playing atm. When you're finished you can move to Assassin's Creed 2, which is an even better game.
and agreeing on Fallout 3: Not nearly as good as Fallout 1 and 2 (a totally different game actually), but a solid RPG that feels like a FPS nonetheless. Any good western rpg for me is well worth playing, and I do like all the Fallout-reminiscent stuff in it. The first games are all-time favorites of mine.
And adding The Darkness: It's a FPS based on the comic book of the same name, you're Jackie Estacado, a young italo-american mafia guy cursed with The Darkness powers in NYC. On your 21st birthday you get your powers and all hell breaks loose. One of the coolest powers is a tentacle-like arm 8D
BioShock 1 & 2: basically a strange little FPS in a really original setting and story, on a straaange, twisted, city deep underwater. Reminds me of Fallout a lot, specially with the 50's music <3 It's really interesting and dark, one of my faves, and also has crazy powers.
Red Dead Redemption: western 3rd-person action. Well haven't played it yet, but all I see are great reviews and me and my brother are hyped to play it. It's kinda expensive for us poor 360 players in Brazil right now though.
Mafia 2: still on my to-buy list, but it looks like a great sequel to a great game (some even call it best game ever), uhh title is self-explanatory? Mafia 3rd-person action.
Anything on the GTA series is pretty good stuff.
Bayonetta: Devil May Cry on heels. Meaning crazy action and uh, colorful music.
Brutal Legend: HEAVY METAL NUFF SAID LOL. Joking. No really, Tim Schafer, the guy who designed Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, designed this. Those are all amazing, classic games. If you like Jack Black, funny cartoony characters and heavy metal action this is heaven.
And if you like the adventure genre, the remakes of Monkey Island are nice, and Heavy Rain seems pretty good!
Aiming on the PS3 seemed more difficult for me than on the 360, I don't know if it's an issue for you. I recommend getting the demos first.
Sorry for the wall of text x_x'

I will admit, I was spoiled. I started with Fallout 3, and then got 1 and 2 from my brother. I have to say they're good games, but I can't get into them as well as I got into 3. But that's what happens when you go out of order, no?
Oh, there's another game I forgot to mention! Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is a really good fantasy RPG. (I've been playing it on my PC. So, I forgot that it was made for consoles too.) It's made by the same company that made the Fallout series. Unlike Fallout, where you can follow the main quests or wander around aimlessly, you can also join guilds, kill demons, become a demon prince, break the law, go to jail, break out of jail, and do other fun fantasy related quests.

| I know how that feels Tsemara, today's game graphics spoils us all D:
It was only around 2000 when I first played Fallout 1, so the graphics didn't seem too outdated, but getting into games like these get harder and harder these days. It's a pity because there aren't rpgs like that anymore, they're more and more stream-lined to appeal to the young masses. If Baldur's Gate got a remake with only updated graphics it'd be the best game ever.
The first Fallout games had wonderfull black comedy that you have to squint to find in Fallout 3 (and Monty Python references!), and you could do anything from killing children to being a porn star to being a slaver to getting married, well you get what I mean.
Anyways. I played the pc version of Oblivion too but I gave up, the Elder Scrolls series feels a bit too mechanical to me. I don't feel like I'm interacting with real characters, I dunno. I liked the previous game a bit better, Morrowind. But if there's a demo version I recommend it though, and I'll probably get it one day cause it's really cheap now.
