(I had no idea what that word meant...I heard it in a book...In case you don't know what it means, either...
lu'mi-nes'cence, n. "light without heat." --lu'min-nes'cent, adj.
Basically, a bikers backlight when a light is shown on it, it shines, but there's no heat...I can't think of any other examples...But...TADA!  )
