I'm still only getting event monsters, is there any way to get my normal group of monsters? Battling low level monsters isn't fun anymore. I want variety!

Just return to the Great Gated City. From what I know, the usual monsters are all there (the event zones only have event monsters in them).

Yeah, after the summer event the different zones will give you a new selection of monsters to encounter.

The original group of monsters are in the great gated city as Maeve said.
Just stay in that zone and you'll find the old enemies. <3
