| Aheehee awww. I actually only got 6 hours of sleep last night, which is a lot less than usual for me, seeing as I'm unemployed. Got woken up by a phone call from my uncle saying I have a new cousin ^w^

And it's a boy, Geoffrey Owen, born wednesday, 5 lbs, 11 oz, 18 3/4" ^^ finally, a boy to carry on our last name, I don't feel so bad taking my fiance's name any more.

| Ah yeah, neither my father nor his brother (the only men) had any children besides me, and although my dad adopted a little boy, that doesn't really count in my mind >.<
But now that my uncle has a boy, gah, such a relief, because I have a lot of pride in our name and I don't want it to die.
I don't mind my fiance's last name, in fact, in a funny coincidence, there was a close friend of my mom's side of the family, with the same name, the kinda guy you call uncle but isn't really related? XD but there's no relation between him and my fiance, so his last name just has sentimental reasons to us ^^ Pretty neat, we think.

| Ah that is pretty neat.
I'm an only child and my dad's bother had all girls, they're both like 18 years older than me though and off and married so the name dies with me.
*sighs* If I take my boyfriend's last name, it's going to be a really horrible string of names.
The wedding announcement in the newspaper for me would have to read "Umphrey-Cox". And since most people mispronounce my last name, this is a most unfortunate union.
