| How do I tell if a person is online or not? I've looked everywhere around avi's on the forum, and I can't find the status of anyone. I also can't seem to find where to look if I want to see how many people are online at any given time. It feels a little awkward to me, not knowing if I'm all alone on this site, and whether I should post because everyone's gone and won't see it. D8

| You can see who else is on and how many at the very bottom the main forum index. ^^

| Thank god I'm not alone! -cries- I was getting so freaked out thinking that I was going around deserted forums. I'm really not used to sites that don't seem like there's constant activity, like one of the bigger avatar sites around. I'm not sure if any of the staff will see my little suggestion here, since this isn't the appropriate forum for it, but it ties in with my concern to people's online status and seeing which users are where, but I really think that a small counter should be in the header, so it can be seen more easily. As it is now, at the way bottom of the page of the main forum index, it's pretty easily overlooked, it seems, at least, for me.
And thanks so much for your help, Weaseldale. You've been so helpful to this poor, confused newblet. You're truly an angel in disguise. ^_^

| -hugs- I'm sorry you couldn't find it. ^^;; That's where I'm used to seeing it, so I didn't think twice about it. But I think other people have had the same problem as you.
Aww, thank you.

| Such a feature would be virtually useless. We rarely have more than twenty members online, which is hardly something to flaunt in the header. Just post as you want to - don't decide what/where to post based on who is online or how many people are on. Doing that would only add to the inactivity. Our members are friendly and open to new members, so don't be afraid to jump in.

| -cries more- I just did the same and looked on the bottom of the forums on another site I just checked into, out of curiosity, and I'm literally the only one there. It's so unnerving! I think I'd be less panicked and paranoid if there were statuses under people's avatars. there's certainly enough room for it, with all that space above and under the options for PM's and the PVP button.

| I just honestly don't really see the need for a website so small. To me, no one needs to know who is online. That's provided on the main forum page anyway, so an extra click or so wouldn't put anyone out of their way.
All suggestions deserve consideration, of course. I may be on staff but by no means does that mean that my opinion is the final say. I just felt the need to share my perspective on it all.

Thanks for that bit of information. I thought this place was busier than that. But it confuses me how a site that's been active since 2008 only has 20 members online most of the time. O_o I don't think that'd help my nervous paranoia much, worrying that I'm the only one online, because with so few users, it still feels a little like ghost forums, but I'm sure that's something the staff here can't really help. ^_^; But thanks all the same. I think I can post with a little more confidence, knowing that. i just don't want to come off as being an attention whore or something, if I make too many topics, and it seems forums move pretty slowly around here.

| Heh, don't worry about looking like an attention whore. If users have that opinion of anyone, it would be me. ^^;
Regardless, most users appreciate any and all activity that others can bring to the forum. We may be small and a bit slow at times, but we're constantly clamoring for new faces. Hopefully you can get used to the smaller pace and grow to love us.
If you're looking for the most active places to post, I'd suggest the event forums whenever events are occurring and The Lounge whenever they're not.
