Hello, some of you might have seen me posting around already.
I sometimes do that before properly introducing myself, I hope you don't mind.
:')

I have come with the little Solia Wagon, my name is D. Crescendo there as well. Most people do call me Cressy.

(I come in peace, really!)

I hope to stick around for awhile and get to make a few new friends.
:'3

Welcome to Midorea! Happy It's a good thing that you've been posting around - I'd rather see that than another inactive account collecting dust.

Thank you! I think we've already encountered each other before now too! I'm really looking forward to sticking around awhile; even if I forget to log in for awhile, I'll be back. Smile

Yeah, I remember seeing your username around a bit.

Hopefully. ^^ It'd be nice for Mido to become more active. I get so lonely... XD

I'm alright. No stress for once, because Cat didn't assign me any work and I'm done with my summer reading. XD

But my chair is very squeaky. D:< *discontent*

How are you? xP

Oo. Summer reading? For school?
What did you have to read?

No work is good work, I should be getting on folding laundry here pretty soon.
Baha.

I'm pretty good, thank you for asking!

Yes, for school. I have to write an analytical paper on it too... Which I THINK will turn into a biographical/psychological analysis, depending on how well the quotes will support it, and of course, whether I can get a good biography of Bronte. Without that it's all basically assumptions.

Oh, and I'm reading Wuthering Heights. Not a book of choice, mind you. XD

Yeah, usually I'm clamoring for some type of work, but I've overworked myself for the past few days so it's nice to sit here and chat.

The good thing about laundry is that you can leave it for twenty minutes while doing whatever you want. XD

That's good. :3

I've been trying to fight my way into reading Wuthering Heights, I've got a copy sitting not two feet from me right now. Is it really that bad? XD

I've only got half way through the first chapter so far.

No, it's not that bad at all. I'm just not very big on romance. Knowing Wuthering Heights as strictly a gothic romance turned me off quite a bit, which is why I never picked it up and why it wouldn't be a book of my choice. But for its genre, it is good, albeit a little bland and slow at times.

The genres that best interest me are suspense, sci-fi, mystery and most things dealing with philosophy. *points to siggy* I love 2001.

But I swear, all of the characters in Wuthering Heights love monologue. D: Every last one of them. A lot of the book isn't even in the main character's perspective - it's just a maid telling a story.

I had a similar problem while reading Pride and Prejudice when Darcy writes his five-thousand page letter to Elizabeth but makes no attempt at paragraph breaks. :l

I informed my teacher right then that I would no longer be reading the book until Darcy learned to intend his paragraphs properly.

I never liked assigned reading in the first place, I'm very lucky to be in college and have the time to read what I want when I want. Though really, there's not much time for that either.

I refuse to pick up that book. XD I won't dare say it's bad or anything, but it's just not my type of read. And the paragraph thing sounds absolutely terrible! What did your teacher say when you said that you wouldn't read it?

I don't mind assigned reading too much. I'd rather be positive about it than mope, because I have to do it one way or another. xP

Hi Cressy! Laugh How are you this evening? I definitely think I've seen you posting around, while I was lurking around trying to get a feel for the place...

@ Chu ;; He said it was part of my grade to read the book and that's when I told him that I wasn't going to read Darcy's letter.

I've had nothing but good experiences with this guy. During Othello my Sophomore year he asked me to re-read one of Roderigo's lines because he'd just been stabbed and I stopped and informed him that I had not been stabbed and found it quite difficult to accurately portray the pain and betrayal he was feeling.

@ Setsu ;; I'm doing quite alright, Setsu! How are you this evening, I haven't seen you around Stickam in awhile. I hadn't been around the Perch in awhile when Solia went down either.
