| I'm a lurker off of Gaia, actually. With some experience on Solia. Gaia has its issues, but I can't really bring myself to leave because I have some friends that I've tried to bring elsewhere that won't budge. There are also some pretty good support threads if you dig deep enough. It just depends on where you look as to what you find. Like Extended Discussion can have lots of drama over smaller subjects or the usual big ones on top of having its established trolls. You just need to be careful choosing your threads sometimes.

| The only other site I religiously go on is Solia. I have been on there at least once a day for the last two years.
I used to go on Gaia but I lost my interest in it and have abandoned the site.

| @Ace: Oh yeah. xP It's so obvious that I forgot to mention it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Don't avoid a site or complain about it because it's slow. The reason that it's slow is because people like you don't post BECAUSE it's slow! XD It used to piss me off, honestly, but now I just have to laugh at it. People just love to complain about things and do nothing to fix them.
@Morkael: I agree with you. I don't dare go into the ED or LD though. I'm sure that there are some good threads, but I'll stick with zOMG!.

| I can't blame you for that at all. I've got the thread I frequent for each of those forums but have taken to avoiding them beyond that. There's just so much going on that it would be better to avoid.

Yeah, I've always had that bad impression of Solians, and was honestly a little worried when you guys first started coming over. However, I haven't had any problems yet so I've eaten my words. ^^; That's what I get for making assumptions, I suppose. |
>__________>
Well, I can't defend or deny that beyond saying it did happen. There was a stretch for awhile where the older members were a little snarky to the new kids just coming to Solia. Some people are just cut out for helping others though and those are the ones who will leave a better impression.
And community bashing, eh.. I think I know what community you are referring too. >.<;
But beyong the Support and Feedback, we're nice people for the most part. :3

| @Morkael: Yep, that's probably the safest thing to do. XD
@Crescendo: Ah, that makes sense. Older members sometimes like to think that they're entitled or something.
It's good to know that most of you are cool though. It makes me feel bad for believing all of the shit about your site. DX

| I would be weary of large groups of members flooding in from any website, whether I thought their reputation was horrid or not. You just never really know, you know?
We came here with good intentions but that's not always the case. We get trolls flooding occasionally and it's all very ridiculous. I'm glad the handful of us Solians were able to sway your opinion of us. (:

| I'm too naive to be wary for long. >_> Soon I was thinking, "YAY, FRIENDS!" but then I remembered that most of you will go back when Solia is up again, haha. But I'll just appreciate the activity while it lasts, haha.

| I'll be one the ones going back but I'll definitely be dropping in regularly. The community, though it's small, seems very welcoming and that is something I always look for in the community/ staff. :3

| And the fact that the Battle System quenches my thirst for Oblivion in teeny ways. xD I'm a thief. No idea if it does anything cool in the long run, but I just love being the little crack character that skitters around and stabs people in the back, stealing their pocketbooks. :3
So yeah, point is. I'll try to be back. As long as Firefox doesn't crash again and get rid of my bookmarks. xD

You already don't feed me enough.
-pokes at ribs, falls off shoulder-

| You never ask for food. xD It's your own fault you're starving.
I haven't run across a scarecrow yet. Just, a bunch of Baby Earth Dragons. xD I wish I could catch one and name it Tom.

| Yay for Solia! lol. I certainly will be hopping between here and Solia, I really prefer a smaller group, and I love being part of a site when it's still a bit smaller <3

| I have accounts on many, many avi sites... but I only actively use a few of them.
I log onto Cry daily to use their forest thing because it's mindless entertainment, but their forum layout has mostly discouraged me from posting there very much.
A friend of mine just started to actively use Zantarni, and I'm excited to hear they have new owners now... but I don't think I'll be an active member there until they fix a lot of their problems. It's too depressing to be on a site where next to nothing works and gold is worth so little.
And then there is Solia, where I spend the vast majority of my time. I fell in love with it the moment I started to use that site... but almost fell out of love with it right away, too.
I joined just before the August '09 rush of newbies, most of whom didn't stay because the older members of the site were so snarky and unwelcoming. What ended up really helping me there is when I stopped visiting the Town Square. I found the people in the other forums much much less snarky and so very fun to talk to.
I've also noticed recently that a lot of the people who made the site not-so-fun for me as a newbie are no longer active. The community on any avi site shifts, and right now I rather like where Solia is at.
