| When I was little, I'd always get into my bikini and try to tan with my mom. XD As I got older though, I began to prefer being pale much more. Now I avoid the sun at all costs, even though I still love swimming and walking.
Yesterday I went to this amusement park with the family and after about two hours I began to feel the sting of a burn and immediately hid in the shade. Luckily, I got there in time because the only sun I got was on the back of my shoulders, which won't end up amounting to anything. ;3 I'm still as pale as an emo kid.
My family, however, isn't so fortunate. They're stupid and refuse to use sunscreen and never realize that they're burned until it's too late. Needless to say, they're all lobsters now.
Does anyone here try to stay pale as diligently as I do? Or do you have any horror stories of getting burned? xP

| I don't burn easily, and when I do it becomes tan almost immediately. I love having a nice healthy tan, but I won't go to lengths to maintain it during the winter.
My one friend is like you, though, but now he can't be in the sun long because of new skin medication. That gives him more of an excuse to not be outside.

| I burn extremely easily do to a skin condition I have. I hope and pray that I did not pass it on down to my son as my father passed it on to me.
Basically I can got out in the sun for five minutes and be burned most of the time if I don't were sunblock. Which I am so glad they make 100 spf sunblock now considering so far it has worked for me not to get burned. People think I am joking most of the time till they get me outside without my sunblock and witness it happen. So needless to say I am so pale I glow in the dark or that's what some of my friends say.

| I tend to have what my mom loves to call a "computer tan"--aka I ne'er go outside and look like Casper the friendly ghost xD
Unfortunately, I burn reeeeally easily. By morning afterwards, it's partially tan, though it depends on severity the burn. After it turns to tan I don't burn as easily, but...I still burn xD
Right now I am actually somewhat tan, courtesy of 2 weeks out and about in the sun.
I also have an unnatural hatred of sunscreen but use it more often than not because I hate being burnt worse XP
As for stories...
One time I was outside all day during the summer and I "conveniently" forgot sunscreen or a hat. Later than night, I was a lobster...and had gotten so badly burnt on my scalp that it blistered!
That was the day I learned I preferred to smell like sunscreen and be sunscreen-sticky to becoming a lobster.

| I tan more often than I burn, actually. I've never had a bad burn.
That sounds terrible, Kimi. T_T I've only burned my scalp once, but not nearly at that severity.

| i tend to tan only a little or burn only a little. the sun just doesnt seem to do that much to me XD
but saying that, i almost always wear jeans and rarely have my stomache on show, so its really only my face, neck/shoulders/chest and arms that are on show anyway.
if it super hot and sunny, i use spf 20 or 30 sunscreen though. and i always wear lip balm, and they almost always have some sort of sun protection in them too so my lips are never burnt haha~

| I looooove showing off my body. BD I know that it sounds really conceited, but I've never really known shame, so I wear as little clothing as possible during the summer. That's why I usually go through bottle after bottle of sunscreen. XD
I think that the most annoying tanlines ever are ones you get from flipflops. At least pale breasts and butts make sense, but not random lines on your feet!

| hahaha i tend to show mine off by wearing tight-fitting clothing and low-cut tops XDD *ahem*
but the summers dont even get hot enough here to merit wearing as little as some girls here do... haha. we've only had a few days so far where i've been ok to wear short-shorts and a really small top and nout else XD

| I don't have much cleavage at all. I still wear low-cut shirts, but it's only for comfort because there's nothing to show off. XD My legs are the money makers because they're long, slender and firm. Hawt.
Ah, y'see, I live in Kentucky, meaning boiling hot summers and nearly unbearable humidity. I'm used to it because I'm native here, but Raz is from Michigan, where even the summers are fairly cold and there's little to no humidity. He gets sick if he's outside for too long here.

| I used to like my body then I had a kid now I hide it under whatever I can find Mumu yeah I have worn one.
I have tanned once but that was after I had gotten sunburned so bad I was the reddest lobster person alive I couldn't even wear a bra that's how badly I was burned. Heck any form of clothing on my upper torso hurt. I had to stay inside for two weeks before it was even healed enough for me to actually feel comfortable wearing clothes instead of gauze soaked in allovera.

| I'm of moderate height, and all of it is in my legs. xP And at least you're happy with your chest! For the longest time I'd hide in hoodies and stuff because I was made fun of for being so small. When I started dating Raz he reassured me, and sure enough, they grew to a decent (for us) size.
Yeah, I literally cry when I get cold. xP I can't help it - I just love the heat and humidity. Nothing's better than taking a walk on a hot day with a cold bottle of water. That's heaven.
@Koyi: Ouch! D: That sounds absolutely terrible. I can only imagine what it was like to peel.

| Koyi; oh man! i hope i never get burned that bad, that sounds awful! D:
chu; haha, the silly thing is, its like... you either get poked fun at for having small boobs, or if theyre big like mine, you get an awful lot of negative attention for it. .__.; not to mention that because i also happen to be very petite, i cant find bras. its like they think youre either skinny and have small boobs or fat and have big boobs >.> ugh.

| The peeling was the worst cause it happened as I was heading back to school. I looked like a snake or someone with leprosy.

| I like being pale, but I like tan, too. My skin is pale yellowish and I tan pretty brown easily, although I tend to burn my shoulders even if I use sunscreen. Thankfully the red burned spots turn nice and brown quite fast.
