If only my one friend was on here. He would have some GREAT dream stories to tell. He's told me a few of them, like the one with a tennis court full of brussels sprouts and a hobo trying to commit suicide. Yeah, they were in the SAME dream.

Oh the hobo thing reminded me of a re-occurring dream I used to have.
Okay, so at the time I dreamed this, I was 17, and was dating a girl.

Now, in my dream, my (now ex) gf's parents were an evil king and queen, and we were forced to live on a mattress in their basement. We decided to take my kat, Kyo, and run away. We ran all the way to Bergen, a city almost 3000km away from here.
When we got to Bergen, we were of course very tired and hungry from having walked that far. Having no money, we found the only option would be to eat something. Kyo is too precious to me to eat, and we didn't want to eat someone anyone would miss, so we went behind a pizza place (a popular chain called Peppe's) and decapitated a hobo there with a pair of gardening scissors (in another of these dreams, she just tore his head off). Despite being a hobo, the guy was quite clean and tasty. My cat did not want to eat a human being due to principals, so she just sat there and watched.
As soon as we were done and had disposed of the remains, a guy comes out from Peppe's and tells us that he made a pizza too many, and we seemed hungry, and then gives it to us. I'm full and kind of disgusted from eating a human being, but my gf is still hungry and eats like half the pizza.
Kyo did not like pizza, so I took the meat off of the pizza and fed it to her.

That...is really odd. I've never had dreams that odd, but I agree that those are some weired dreams.

How much sleep have you been getting? If you haven't been sleeping enough it can cause you to have some odd dreams.

Yes. It's called sleep deprivation. Normally it's only an issue if you don't get enough REM sleep, which is when you start to dream. It you don't get enough then when you do sleep you're dreams tend to be REALLY odd and make little since.

I had something like this happen to me before. I woke my husband from the dead of sleep by saying something. He doesn't remember what woke him up but he does remember me saying, "No. What we should do is, we should shave the Peanut Butter."

He also remembers another instance that I think was caused by the medication I was taking at the time, but could have been medication educed as well. What I said was, "The King is hiding in the closet with the Jelly Beans."

haha wow you must have been having some very bizarre dreams! I have a friend who i used to stay with alot, he talks in his sleep pretty much every night i've spent with him. i can never remember what he says, cos im so tired usually, but im pretty sure half of what he says arent even real words XD

i knew sleep deprivation could make you hallucinate if you stayed awake long enough, but i really had no idea it had such an impact on your dreaming when you finally do sleep!

I don't know who this was directed to, but the amount of sleep I get never affects my dreams. o-0 I've been getting plenty because it's the summer time. During the school year, I get very little and my dreams are much more tame than they are now, but now is an all time high in weirdness.

I had a dream last night where I was on Midorea, and looking at roleplay posts. My friend Seitaro started up a new really awesome advanced roleplay, and everybody was posting one-liners and really pissing him off.

...I think I may be on here too much. It's starting to invade my dreams...

altho... im not sure its possible to dream more or less than anyone else? everyone dreams every single night, its just that more often than not we forget them. some people just remember them more than others...

Actually, that's not true.
Studies have shown that women dream more than men, and children more than adults. Although we do enter those stages of sleep when we have our usual amount of sleep, I don't think we always dream.

I do think that my overactive imagination and dreams come from my ADHD, which means that I, amongst other things, don't have as many of those drugs that controls impulses naturally in my brain as other people do. Which is cool, because I love having those strange dreams x)

I agree link the proof because everything I have herd since I was young as far as research goes is that everyone whom goes into a REM sleep has dreams the ability to remember those dreams however isn't always possible but if you reach REM sleep you are dreaming. Let me find my REM Link so I can have a definitive source for this.

Not trying to start a fight just going on what I have read and know about Rapid eye movement sleep. Better known as REM sleep.

And here's a link to REM sleep now: http://thebrain.mcgill.ca/flash/d/d_11/d_11_p/d_11_p_cyc/d_11_p_cyc.html
