| You can get lots of money from the battle system once you've understood how it works, which doesn't take that long anyway.
Skills normally influence certain action you can do (mining, refining, forging, etc.), and how efficient you can do those actions. However, the only usable one is the forging skill. The other system have been taken down until they can be worked on, so the related skills are useless. And you don,t need to upgrade the forging skill, since it goes up any time you repair a weapon.
Nah, the function to upgrade skills upgrades them by one level. At least I think, never used it myself, but it would make more sense.

| It's just that all the time, although you can change your weapon once you have enough money (or get someone to give you one ). I personally love slicing things with my tenro, but the ball is useful for finishing things.
And there's sometime quests given by the NPCs, or special event drops, which makes it more worth it.
I didn't really use potions in battle until I was around lv.10, I think.
Well, except when the adult dragons were around... <.<
I prefer just healing at the temple when I needed it, though it's always useful to have one or two potions with you, just in case.
Silver is 100, copper is 20.
