(Keylaleigh and Titanic)

[Keylaleigh]

She stretched out and sighed. Where to start? "Well... let's see. Trespassing, vandalism, petty theft, nothing too big at first. Then the gang and I decided to get in a little deeper. We dabbled in smuggling. There are a few rebellions sprouting up on the outer colonies, and we were helping a few ships take some government-grade weapons out to the resistance forces. Unfortunately, there was a rat in our organization and he turned us all in. The rest of the gang got away... but I stayed behind and helped the ship get away. They made it off-planet safely, but I was caught."

She sighed. That only happened yesterday, yet it already felt like forever. "Now I'm in a tree house and more on the run than I have ever been in my entire life."

Ruth took another sip."Wow.Thats alot.But hey.It all gets easy over time.Hopefully they will forget about you soon.I doubt they forgot about me.Im wanted in many states.To bad the only picture they have of me is from ten years ago.Kinda hard to spot me."Ruth said with a small chuckle."The tree house isnt that bad"

"Wanted for ten years, huh?" she chuckled. "I thought that I was the youngest criminal at large around these parts." Shel shrugged. "Then again, you say they've forgotten you. That's where we differ." She walked over to the window and looked out at the city. "I don't want to be forgotten. Not just yet. Some day soon, I'm gonna slip aboard one of the ships to the outer colonies and join the fight there. At least, that's what I hope to do." She smiled. "I wanna do my parents proud. Show them that I followed in thier footsteps."

Ruth drank the rest of the cola.Crumpled it up in a ball.And chucked it at the wall."Sometimes being forgotten has been the best thing to ever happen to me.If i was still noticed all the pigs in the world would flirt with me.Try to use me."Ruth started ranting.She never notices people around her when she rants.She shuts out the world.Sometimes she hallucinates.Thinks the people around her are people from the past.The people she murdered.getting back at her.

Shel walked over to her new friend. "Calm down, Ruth. Is there something wrong?" She could see that Ruth was getting very angry. "Can I help you? I mean, maybe you should join me! You'll get away from everybody who may have known you, and I'll get to help fight back!" She smiled. "Yeah! Your powers would be useful on the outer colonies!" Ideas were whizzing through her head as she thought of the possibilities of having a shapeshifting scout or spy.

Ruth snapped back to the real world."Oh yeah"she said with a smirk."Thatd be nice.Thatd be really nice.Im sorry for getting angry.Have i told you why they are after me?It may be useful if we gang up and i get angry next time."

"Well, I confessed most of my crimes to you, so go ahead and throw whatever you've done at me." Shel smirked. She was curious to find out what this kid could've done that has had her on the run for so long. She may have been younger, but Shel could tell that she had a much longer history on the wrong side than she did.

Ruth looked down "I murdered my parents."Ruth looks up and searches Shels face.Trying to find out if shes frightened now."Because they kept talking behind my back about me being a freak.They wanted to just get up and leave me at the house alone.When i was sleeping.They wanted me to wake up alone."

[Keylaleigh]

Shel looked at Ruth. She didn't exactly see a killer in her, but there was no way for her to assume that she was speaking lies. "Hmm... well, things happen, I guess. It was the past. As long as you don't try to kill me, I'm fine with staying by you." She looked calm, but she still took a step back. "And anyways, your parents could've done worse. Some of the kids in my gang were sold into slavery on the outer colonies after being caught by the wrong people. You would've still been free."

Ruth understands that Shel took a step back "Free.But still abandoned."
Still hated.Still unwanted.I think its best they are dead."Ruth walked back to the cooler.This time she grabbed a water and finished it in one big gulp."And i doubt ill kill you"

[Keylaleigh]

It was obvious that this girl needed something to feel good about. "Well, I think you should come with me to the outer colonies. Help out with the rebellion." She stepped over, putting a firm hand on Ruth's shoulder. "You'll be wanted there, and I'd love to have the company." She smiled. "Whaddaya think- two outlaws working together for the greater good and the eventual demise of the Federation! If it all goes over well, you'll no longer be wanted. Instead, you'll be a hero!"

Just like her parents. Shel's parents were part of a failed rebellion and sent to outer colonies where they were killed immediately. Among the underground, they were heroes- Martyrs to the cause. And Shel hoped to follow in their example- only succeed where they failed.

Ruth smiled."That sounds good.Any particular time you wanna head out?"Ruth had the sudden urge to be a horse.She wonders if Shel would ride on her back if she were a horse.Theyd probably get where their going faster that way. "Hey do you like horses?"

[Keylaleigh]

Shel thought for a moment. "I've actually never seen a horse. The closest I've ever gotten to one was a picture in one of our textbooks." She muttered. Shel had never been outside the city until tonight, so everything that she was doing was still very new. "And to tell you the truth, I'm exhauted. How about we sleep for the night and head out tomorrow. I have a few friends who may be able to shuttle us out to the colonies."

"Hmm.Okay then.Im sleepy too."Ruth threw her water bottle and cola bottle away."Ill be right back.I gotta go use the trees" Ruth turned into a dog and jumped out of the treehouse's window to use the bathroom.Or in other words the trees.She came back shorty as a human again."I usually sleep as a dog.So just rub my belly when your ready to head out"

"You got it. And we'd better get a good amount of sleep, because I hear sleeping on spaceships is harder than sleeping anywhere else." She stretched out on the sleeping bag and closed her eyes. "Good night, Ruth. And thanks again. You're too kind." And Shel had expected to spend this first night hiding in some alleyway somewhere, hoping that the officers wouldn't find her. This was a pleasant change. Soon enough, she drifted off to sleepl
