Not true. Snakes, felines, an a handful of other animals use what is called a Jacobson's Organ to literally taste the air. This is located just behind the front teeth.

| There are parts of Afrika where it is illegal to ea with the right hand. The reason for the law is that Afrikans are only supposed to wipe after using the bathrroms using the right hand and if you eat after wping, it can cause a deathly plague.
