(Keylaleigh and Titanic)

[Keylaleigh]

"Hurry up, men! She couldn't have gone far!" the Federation officer waved his men up to him.

Shel Hanna was hidden in a dumpster at the moment, about three blocks away from the prison complex. Right now she was keeping perfectly still and perfectly quiet so she wouldn't get caught. If she made any movement, she would be taken back, and her time there would be lengthened. And there was no way that was gonna happen. She'd make sure of it.

"We've lost her, sir!" One of the other officers sounded out of breath. "And it's starting to get dark."

"Very well, then. We'll continue our search in the morning. She couldn't have gone far."

It was very clear that Shel had to keep moving that night. She'd get rest later.

Ruth was busy playing dog.She was digging in a dumpster when she heard heavy footsteps running towards her.She stuck her head out and saw a young girl about the age of 19.Ruth turned herself into a fly while the young girl jumped in.Ruth then over heard a group of those stupid federal officers talking about who she assumed must be this girl.

As the sounds of their footsteps grew fainter and fainter, she slowly poked her head out. They were gone. She leapt out of the dumpster and emitted a relieved sigh. "Thank goodness." She slowly made her way out of the alleyway, looking around cautiosly for any officers. "Good. Coast is clear." She walked off, trying to keep to the shadows as she made her way down the road.

Ruth quickly turns into a dog again.She leaps out of the dumpster and runs to catch up with the girl."I wonder what shes going to do" Ruth says,but the sound comes out as a bark.

The bark made Shel turn around, panicked, and jump into the shadow of an open doorway. As she looked around, she saw the dog standing there, and nobody seemed to pay attention to it. She let out another relieved sigh. That was close. Then again, dogs bark all the time. She was just a little jumpy, that's all. Just a little jumpy. She looked around and continued down the street at a faster pace. The faster she got out of the city, the better.

Ruth decides shes gonna have to get this girls attention.Besides scarying the crap out of her.'Think Ruth think.What should you turn into?'Ruth turns into her normal self.Unlike most shape shifters shes trained herself to change back to normal with clothes on.Not just go nude."Hey wait!" she shouts to the girl

Shel jumped again. She was way too jumpy tonight. She turned around to see that there was a girl where the dog was standing. Shel rubbed her eyes. Where did the dog go? Shrugging, she figured it most likely ran off while she wasn't looking. She thought about what to do with this girl. She couldn't spend too much time standing still, but it would be better to go talk to her than ignore her and look like a weirdo.

"Yeah, whaddaya want?" she walked up with a somewhat ticked look on her face. This girl was wasting her time.

"You look like you need help.To get and stay away from those idiots who call themselves officers."Ruth can tell shes pissed off the girl."Maybe i can help."She says with a small smile hoping its to dark to be seen.

Shel wasn't sure if she could trust this girl. She seemed to be one of like mind with the way she talked about the Federation officers. Then again, she couldn't trust anybody at this time. She looked the girl over. Nothing about her seemed untrustworthy, and her expression didn't reveal any hidden facts at the moment. She still couldn't be too careful, though.

"And why should I trust you?" Shel raised an eyebrow.

Ruth understands how she must sound."Because ive been running away from them for six years.Havent gotten caught yet.Then again i am full of skill."Ruth wonders why shes not shy around this girl.Why she even bothered to offer help.

[Keylaleigh]

Shel nodded, glancing over the girl in a new light. She seemed a little young to be on the run, being only barely near the age of legal adulthood. She seemed to be completely honest, though. Somehow, she seemed like the type to be on the run. She had that general look about her. "Very well, then." She smirked. "Where would you suggest running off to?" Shel knew that this girl obviously had a little more information than she did about hiding out.

Ruth smiled."Follow me"Ruth turns around and starts running towards the woods."Hope you can run for a mile!"Ruth smiles a big smile.'Thank God ive been running for ten years.Im used to it'she mutters to herself

Shel nodded. "I can run well enough." She hurried to keep up with the girl and they ran together. She had a lot of experience with distance running. Back in the old gang days, they would vandalize property and then run across half the city trying to shake the officers off of their trail. A straight mile to the woods would be a cinch compared to the gymnastics she pulled off while running in the city. Some of her scratches from jumping barbed wire fences could still be seen on her arms and legs.

Ruth continues to run.She loves the wind blowing in her face as she runs "Good.Then this shall be a blast".Ruth suddenly stops to a halt."Do you hear those sirens?I think we better cut through this ally where that dumpster was.I saw a fence at the end of it"Ruth turns to face the ally and starts running again.

She sighed. More fence climbing. Her arms seemed to scream in protest. Whatever it took to stay out of prison, though, she would do. They went down the alleyway and she took a look at the fence. Fortunately, there was nothing on the fence that would hinder her climbing, and she scaled it easily. She had been pulling off these sorts of acrobatics for years, and a few scratches on her arms weren't gonna stop her from doing them again.
