In the vein of, "What do you hate that everybody else likes"... Do you like something that no one else seems to like? And you're kind of embarrassed to admit it?

I like tons of weird stuff, but I'm not ashamed of it. I watch my 70's motorcycle-swordfighting movies with pride! But now, after almost 30 years, I have a guilty secret.

I liked The Beekeeper's Apprentice, the first of the Mary Russell Sherlock Holmes series. Mary Russell should have been named Mary Sue. She's beautiful, she's perfect, she's rich and at 15-years-old she's as smart as Sherlock Holmes. Of COURSE Holmes takes her as his apprentice. And falls in love with her.

And the book was well-written enough that I actually enjoyed it. My man bought me a bunch more in the series and I'm looking forward to reading them. I am so ashamed of myself.

Please tell me that I'm not alone and share your guilty secret!

While I am quite the metalhead, I actually like country music. None of my metal friends know this, though...

Me too! I have probably thousands of stuffed animals... more than a 30-year-old should have, definitely. Laugh And I like furries. They get a bad rap on the internet. But they're mostly nice people. And at least they support their artists, which is more than you can say about lots of other fandoms.

My guilty secret is probably my stuffed toys. I have quite a few, and I'd rather people that I know in real life didn't know about them. Even though everyone has teddies and baby-blankets, they're still something personal and private that you don't want to share with anyone :3

I have nearly no shame. XD I don't talk about it unless it's relevant, but most people know about Puppy (a stuffed pink dog that Raz got me a year and a half ago), Neopets, and my love for old crappy and nostalgic anime and Disney movies. I don't see why you should be embarrassed about it.

It seems like lots of people are embarrased about liking stuffed animals. People don't like to be thought of as immature, I guess. Until you get to a certain age, and then you want to be thought of as younger than you are. Laugh

Personally, I got lucky and found a man who not only puts up with the fact that I love stuffies and collect animation and buy too many toys, but he's often an enabler. We were in the Disney store and they had stuffed toys of all three of the talking dogs from UP. Two were five dollars each, but the Doug was fifteen. I was waffling over buying any of them at all, "because they're a set!" And Doug was the cutest. And he kept going, "But the other two are only five dollars! You should get them!"

So now I have all three talking dogs. I'm just kicking myself that I didn't buy the Kevin when I had the chance and now they're not making her anymore. *sniff* My set is incomplete!

I think my most guilty pleasure would have to be how much I love really ecchi anime. The more perverted and full on fan service the better as long as it doesn't completely cross the line into porn.

I also REAAALY love audio books! I love how I can listen to them while I play video games and draw.

Tribute - I've never heard of that author... so it can't be THAT embarrassing. Wink *goes to look them up* ~Edit~ Oh, it's not an author, it's a character. Now I'M embarrassed. Heh.

Chaomiles - I bet your parents loved that! Unless you live alone, and then you're probably my hero. Laugh The idea sounds awesome, but I wouldn't want to clean up afterwards!

Gwendlyne - Ecchi IS good. Laugh Although, I must confess that I find full-on hentai funnier, in a point-and-laugh kind of way.

My Little Ponies... I... arg! I don't know why I think they're adorable! (Except the really recent [2009/2010] ones, they're scary.) I don't have a collection, but I do own a couple favourites. However, I don't have a plan to collect masses like some people do. (Sorry but that's scary.)

Also, I like peach flavoured drinks... Not that I think people dislike it, but I can't seem to find that many around. There's peach flavoured tea, and that's like, meh. There's a peach-flavoured non-alcoholic ale which is nice, but it's difficult to come by. In Japan they have peach flavoured Fanta! Why does Japan get these awesome things!?

Also, also, if I had my way... I'd spend hours on end playing computer games. But I know it's bad for me so I try not to. XD

I love My Little Ponies! They were the only name-brand toy I had as a kid and I loved them... until my mother decided I was getting too old for them and threw them all away. Shocked I had a bunch of really rare ones, too, like first generations and a couple of the cousins (the ones that weren't horses. I had a lion and a giraffe).

Now, I tell my mother that she's the reason I collect toys. Laugh I've re-bought some of my old childhood collection, plus added some sea ponies, which I never owned as a kid. And I've also started customizing ponies, which is a ton of fun.

You're right about peach drinks... I can't even think of any non-tea ones. For alcoholic drinks, I like the Snake In The Grass and it has peach schnapps in it, but whenever I leave my preferred bar, no bartender ever knows how to make it!
