| We had a couple downed trees on some major routes which was a problem, but mostly I was worried about my car, LOL. I park it on the street which is lined by chestnut trees and that loud wind was making me go and check it every hour or so, just to make sure it hadn't gotten smashed.

| eeep! but your car is okay, right?
I tell you what though, there was so much pollen in that wind that breathing was literally like inhaling pepper with each breath for me! I love the wind, but I had to shut all the windows for that.

| No, it was okay, thank goodness.
Also, we're pretty lucky I think. I haven't noticed that much pollen in the air. Maybe there's something that grows down there that isn't up here? The wind did strip the Sakura trees of all their flowers, though, which is a little sad.
The worst for me is those cottonwood trees one. You know, the white fluffy stuff that blows around almost like tumbleweeds and literally lines every street? just kills my allergies.

| oh yes, we have that too! cotton wood and tumbleweeds really
it's that El Niņo that is going on this year. the weather guys said the pollen count here is triple what it usually is.
Quote: |
"An El Niņo normally produces a lot of rain, floods, and other disturbances in range of locations around the world. It basically affects the Pacific and Indian Ocean and it will affect the Atlantic Ocean lagged behind those in the Pacific by 12 to 18 months. It can become very serious for the local fishing for an international market because of the warm water affects the populations of food fish." |

| Stupid earth, doing the same thing it has for millenia and inconveniencing us. *shakes fist at*
I honestly didn't realise it was El Nino this year. That might explain a lot actually. Like how we didn't have ANY SNOW for our Winter Olympics, lol

| yeah, we usually spend most of the winter buried in snow here. we only got snow three times and it wasn't really that bad either times. it didn't even dip into the negatives.
sorry for the pause, I was making an entry on my LiveJournal about the El Niņo stuff.

| well, if it makes you feel better, I'm not getting any drops at all!!! I still need 2 more wind elements but I only have 105 lotus feathers ... and that is not even STARTING work on today's item! I feel like I can't win for losing.
I'm also having a sort of depressed day. I'll try and keep positive though, there is no sense in dragging somebody else down, let alone killing a chat because nobody knows what to say!
so, we talked about the weather ...
my neighbor wants me to watch her daughter next month, but now I can't remember what day she said and I don't feel like calling her to find out!
... edit:
make that I now have 9 wind elements. almost there. FINALLY!

| Hahaha, it may sound like I'm getting lots, but it's not really. Now I keep getting those stupid monkey pirates (which totally make me think of The Curse of Monkey Island) and I got a water drop, which I assume I'll probably need later on, but still XD. I find that I keep yelling 'COMEON, AIR!' at my moniter.
Aw! D: I'm sorry to hear your day is depressing. My day is dumb cause I'm lazy and really really really don't feel like cleaning, even though I should. I also have a couple errands to run that I am putting off forever.
