Recycling Program for Items

I think it would be a neat idea if there were either a location or button added that would give users the opportunity to recycle items that have been used out.
As opposed to deleting them or having them sit to clutter up inventory, users can turn in their unusable, unrepairable weapons for a small amount of Silver, or a small (but slightly greater) amount of Copper.
It would be great if we could get both Silver and Copper, one or the other, random with each turn in - 3 Silver for Weak Healing Potion, next turn in of a Weak Healing Potion gets 6 Copper - since I am always in need of copper for the Newbie Repair Hammer (by the way, that's why I've got so many posts in the Games section! I know it's annoying seeing 'eisylefae' the whole way down ) but the only way I'm aware of to get Copper is the Games Forum, and I think it would be nice if there was another way. ^-^

Anyway, I would really love something like this.

You can get copper from the games, 1x1 roleplay, and storybook forums. :3

We've tried a sellback feature but there were issues with the coding. D: Hopefully we can see this in the future though.

I CAN say, however, that if that feature were enabled then all items would be "sold back" for the same currency that they were bought with. At least, I think so; it makes sense.

Well, I would love that, but I didn't want to seem greedy ^^

But...
What about items that are broken, as it were? That would be weird to sell them back for full price after you've used them... like the Healing Potions? I was thinking of a way to clear things out of our inventory, that's why only such a small amount would be given for the item, because it had been used to the full.


Oh - storybook and roleplay? Gotcha; will check those out! (never been to the 1x1 roleplay... am not familiar but will look! )

Well, if that feature were added, items would be sold back at a fraction of the price that they're bought for. Technically they're "used" items. ;P

The 1-on-1 forum no longer give copper, I think. But I think the Lyrics forum does...

And yes, having a possibility to sell back items, even if it's for a fraction of the price, would be nice *points at pile of used volleyballs, icicles and potions*

A while ago, I think. I haven't role-played in the one-on-one forum for a while (a couple months), and back then it was already giving silver.

Bah - Chu, that's what I've been trying to say all along

In my first post, something that has been used up but still sits in inventory - like a Healing Potion - we'd get either 3silver or 6copper for it when Recycling (not full price like if one could sell back to a store).

I'd love to see something like this put in place, but when you say that items would be sold back for the same currency they're purchased with...

What if someone wanted to sell an EI or monster drop?

Forget used potions and weapons.

I've got a small pile of useless matches, spell books and gargoyle claws I don't know what to do with!
