| And obviously I'm not going. xP My friends pitched a fit but I'm glad; I would've ended up getting into a fight (and most likely losing) anyway.
Did you go to prom? Why or why not? Share interesting prom stories with me. :3

| I got badgered/forced/threatened and pushed in to going to Prom. Wouldn't have done it twice mind you but once was ok~ish as it was a wee bit of a drama fest but after we got things sorted out on who all was going where and how we where going things where some what smooth sailing.
I typically never go to dances as I become a wall flower/ coat rack as I never had any one to dance with...the only difference prom had was I was more out talking to people I hadn't seen in a long time.
Probably the funniest thing was we had arrived early to prom so we spent the time till they opened the doors rating how people made their entrance up the stairs. Proving once and for all how geeky we where.....

| My prom wouldn't as fun as it should be because I got stomachache and didn't dance at all. And I didn't have a date, so took a female friend of mine as my partner.

| I didn't go to either my junior or senior prom. I thought about going to my senior prom, but in the end the tickets were just too expensive for something I probably wouldn't enjoy anyway. XD I don't regret it. I guess some people think it's an important part of high school.. but only if you're into that sort of thing.

| I went to my Senior Prom for free! Mostly because my boyfriend couldn't get the money in time and I played the "my mom has cancer" card. It worked quite well.
I actually had a really good time at my senior prom. The music wasn't too bad, and my beau tore up the dance floor during "Billie Jean".

| I went to my Prom but not happily. All my friends were going(including one who did not go to our school), and my bestie gave me the whole Edward Cullen treatment and insisted Prom was an important experience. Then she really had me when she promised there would be chocolate covered strawberries(she went to the previous year's prom with her guy friend who was a year above us). I had never had one before and was anxious to try one.
Oh and they had good ice cream too.
So Prom, nothing special for me, not my scene. Way too fancy! I hate dresses and makeup and anything girly bleh.

| I went to prom! The thing I was most excited about though was wearing my dress ._. But I actually ended up having a great time too! I'd say the promenade was my favorite part because so many people are there to watch! And it was very nice to see some of my favorite teachers there to watch us. All in all, it was very fun... I guess it's just not really enjoyable for some people, which I can understand; Dressing up, dancing, celebrating... It's not for everyone!
Originally I didn't want to go because I'm not much of a partier, but I did have a lot of fun in the end and I know I would have regretted not going. After all, it was a once in a life time opportunity.

| I went... just 'cause I was hoping to see the girl I had a crush on at the time, who I knew probably wasn't coming, because she was shy. I tried to ask her out at graduation(the next time I would see her), but she like... vanished.

| I'm not much of a partier. And dances were something I had no desire to attend.
When the time came for the seniors at my highshool to pay for their Prom and Grad night tickets, I had little-to-no money to spend. Because of this, my mother came to me and said, "If you only choose one, I'll pay for half of your ticket." Seeing that it meant that I was paying fifty dollars, instead of two hundred dollars, I jumped on the offer.
I went to my Grad Night, held in Disneyland CA. I'll admit, I wasn't very impressed. It was overcrowded with loud, obnoxious, and otherwise undesirable teenagers. The rides I wanted to go on either weren't running, or had lines that wound around forever. And the background music was anything but. (I've never been fond of the popular bands and singers and stuff. And I don't like rap.) I spent the night wandering around with some friends, trying to just find some place to hang out until it was time to go back to the busses.

Even under the conditions you described my friends and I would have gotten far more out of Disneyland than our grad night. It was just a cruise around the San Francisco bay consisting of a fake casino, food and really loud really horrible music. Mostly rap. We had to spend most of the time out on the deck to avoid the music but then it was freezing. The only good part of the night were the Henna tattoos. I got an eagle on my arm.
It was not a good time that's for sure.
