| Um, I'm kind of new here and was wondering if there was any other way to earn some silver or copper here because my avatar doesn't have any clothes and I can't afford most of them.

| welcome! ^^
you earn silver by posting in the majority of the sections of the forum - i think the exceptions are fun n games and storybook which you earn copper from posting in .gif)
you can also earn silver by fighting monsters in the battle system, all you really need to start battling is a Volleyball which you can buy for 5 silver in the Weaponsmith
if you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask any of us ^.^

I bought some newbie weapons and stuff but I can't find out how to equip them?

| you dont need to equip them, just go straight to monster battles and before the fight starts you can choose what armour to equip (if you have any, i dont really use armour) and once you start the fight, you have a drop down box for which weapon to use, so if you have various weapons you can switch on each attack
