I am new to this specific site, though I am not new to social sites in general (excluding social NETWORKING sites such as Myspace and Facebook). I am hoping to make new friends and figure out this site's avatar system.

Welcome to Midorea! To work the avatar system all you need to do is go to the avatar tab in the blue tab area, click on base in the layers section, and choose what base you want. From there you can choose eyes, nose, mouth, and such to match it and find starter clothes on the shoes, vest, tops, and bottoms later. ^^ You can also change your hair on the hair layer, which will be near the beginning of the list by the ear layer.
