So, who has watched this movie? It came out on the 18th and I just saw it.

I have to say...it was jaw-dropping. I loved it.

It had beautiful, breath-taking artwork...Pandora was gorgeous! So unique! The creatures were just amazing and the plant life was intriguing.

The battle scenes were fast-paced and absolutely awesome.

And the storyline had me on edge the entire time. I related with the characters and got emotional when they did.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed the movie. I am currently ripping apart the web, trying to find books on it...

So, what did you think?

I saw it in IMAX. I was in one of the very front rows where it hurts your neck cause you have to look up the whole time. I was kinda pissy when we sat down cause I knew my neck would be killing me, but when the movie came on I forgot all about it. I was just totally absorbed in it. The story wasn't the most original, but I loved it anyways. And the graphics were just beautiful. The plants, the animals, the design of the world was just incredible. And the battles were totally awesome.

I was really excited to see the movie and I'm glad to say that I wasn't at all disappointed. I loved it and would definitely see it a second time. <3

ive never been to IMAX before... ill have to make sure not to get seats too near the front huh? xD

its nice to hear someone else say they enjoyed the story. that seems to be the main thing reviewers are bashing all the time. like you said, its not that original, but so what? it was well executed even if it is very familiar, and i think they made us care about the charcters enough to be so absorbed by it Smile

When you go to IMAX, the best seats are the middle of the middle row. The IMAX screen is HUUUGE so if you're sitting in the front row you have to look up pretty far. XD

Yeah, I don't see why people complain about the story so much. It may be something that's been done before, but I don't see why that's such a big deal. The story was told in a different way, so that's what matters.

yea, exactly. and besides, most films/plays/books what have you all follow similar storylines. its not like anyone claimed the story would blow your mind, he just said it would make movie-going special again - and i think it does that much. its just a great experience, i think ^^ alot of fun to watch!

I'm probably going to watch it tomorrow. :3 I'm looking forward to it. When I saw the trailer in 3D I was taken aback, it was so beautiful. I don't care for the pushy messages. :3

Watched it yesterday in 3D. It was so awesome, I loved it. I don't care that the plot was predicable and there were anti-war/pro-nature messages of the in-your-face-kind (oi, those are very important matters in the end!). And it was the first time in a long while that a theater room was full. And after I got out, I saw lots of people waiting for another show. I'd sure like to watch it again, and I would - if tickets for 3D movies were a bit cheaper. Of course, there's always the normal version, but...
I want to be a Na'vi now, haha. ^^

You know it. :3

And I hear there's gonna be another two parts of Avatar. I just hope they won't go and ruin it.

apparently James Cameron dreamt up Pandora and the Na'vi etc when he was a kid/teen, so I doubt he would let it get ruined ^^

I don't get to go to the movies much, so when I do I want it to be worth it. Avatar was incredible! My first 3d movie for years because I tend to get head pain when I watch 3d movies, but it was not the case here. It took very little time to get used to it, so to speak. The night phosphorescences were amazing to say the least, the colours were so vivid and beautiful. It seems like no detail was missed. I find myself thinking about this movie at random times during the day, I enjoyed it that much.

I would see it again, and that is saying a lot.
