| Gwenlin found a place to sleep that night, curled up at the base of a tree in the park with Meldo beside her. The next morning, she went to find Mary; she felt useless in the city without someone with her.

| Eventually, Gwenlin just wandered around town. Eventually, she found a large building, and looked at it in awe.
'There are people inside,' Meldo said. 'Maybe Mary will be there as well?'
'Maybe,' Gwenlin said. She went up to the doors.

| Mary yawned. 'To the principal's office, young lady!' said the tacher in her usual loud bossy voice. 'Ok, sure, whatever,' replied Mary, shrugging.
When she walked outside she bumped into Gwenlin. 'Hey! What are you doing here?!' she exclaimed, almost forgetting that the girl couldn't understand her.
