| Now that the Halloween event is coming to a close, I have created a feedback thread for everyone to post their feedback in.
I have also included a poll.
Please post your feedback in a civilized tone. We are more then willing to listen to your complaints/feedback, but we are more likely to take someone seriously if they post in a calm and mature manner.

| First, I want to say I really liked this event.
I voted for more NPCs interactions, simply because I kinda felt the NPCs this time were just there to give out things. I mean, once you've talked to them once, it's pretty much everything there is to do... I kinda like the way NPCs were interacting with people during the Lotus Festival. Of course, I know this also means someone has to control them and make them act, which can require a lot of work from the staff, but I think it makes the event and storyline more complete and interesting.
As for the other thing, well, monster drops are always nice, but I prefer when they come with a quest or something, to really show they are part of the event and not your usual drops. Same goes for currency. And as far as that goes, I think this part of the event was pretty good.
I'm not sure if we need more NPCs quest. I mean, there was plenty this time, and adding more just for saying "we have more quests" doesn't really seem interesting, to me at least. I love quests when they have a purpose, and by that I mean they don't only serve to give out items. So if you could find a storyline where it makes sense to have more quest, I say go for it, but otherwise, a few will be enough to keep people busy.
I love Midorea's events so far, and that's mostly because of their stories and plots (compared to other sites). Of course, an event doesn't need to have an exceptionally complex story, especially if it's only gonna last for two or three weeks, but something with a bit of depth, something that keeps the users coming back to see what's going on and what's new to the story is always interesting. But so far I think you've done a good job with that.
I must say I prefer the volleyball game this summer to the ring toss. It was more... interactive, let's say, and forced people to talk to each other and all, which I kinda prefer to a game you play alone. So maybe make something interactive but instead of getting a win added to his counter, the winner gets a certain amount of event currency or something.
Site contests and Game threads are always fun, but they requires time and work. And during the last events, some of the contests thread seemed to have a bit of trouble in getting enough participation. Maybe, if you could find a way to include them in the event story, they would attract more people. Like, maybe the NPCs could be the ones hosting the contests and games or something like that... I know it's not much of a change from having one of the staff taking care of it, but you know, it looks more like a part of the event, and therefore people might be more interested by it because they could get more info about the plot or something by chatting in those threads... Or something, really. I'm not talking about having the NPCs role-playing or anything, but just acting as if they were other Midoreans and had decided to host some game or contest to celebrate something. And in that thread, they chat with the other users, like we would do in between ourselves, and sometimes let go a little piece of information about the plot.
Anyway, that's all I can come up this evening. Might add more later...

| The storyline was pretty generic, in terms on what happened and how it happened, the only thing original about it were the character/npc names. You really, REALLY, REALLY need work on the storyline. Make it TRULY original.
Items were interesting, though some are getting really obvious.. like the sword and scythe, especially the scythe as you have one in almost EVERY event now.
More game threads hosted by staffers, as they're fun, awesome and full of win. :D I mean, hangout threads are cool.. but there's nothing special or unique about them. Certainly and absolutely not necessary to be stickied, but if it were a contest or game or event info/faq threads, it'd make much more sense to sticky those. :3
Event commons RELATED to the event, plzkthx? ♥

| I have to strongly dissagree with scribbles...
I've been on MANY sites that have hosted holloween events, and not once have i seen one than went this in-depth.
The storyline you guys came up with actually impressed me. "A rip in the astral stream" was utterly brilliant in my opinion, and You guys even mixed that with a pirate carnaval! The random encounters with renegades proved to an annoyance at times, but it really went with the storyline and got meh lazzyness to do some battling.
But what stunned me the most was how amazing the items were; Dauth's scythe for example, I've played plenty of games with weapons and such, but never have i seen a scythe, pole arm, axe, or anything that looked remotely similar. When it comes to weapons its hard to impress me, but you guys found a way. The torch looks incredible i dare to say, the pixeling that must have went into the fire alone is awesome. But i will say that out of the many sites i've been on, few have actually managed to make a balanced scimitar.
I'm a lurker, its rare that i donate my time to post about anything. But i enjoyed this event that i felt i should congratulate you guys on a job well done! Its easy to tell you all put a ton of work into this event, and im sure your members can tell as well.

| Thanks for your feedback guys! I hope I can cover everything mentioned. If I miss anything important just let me know.
First of all, thank you Maeve for going into such detail. It really helps allot. :3
Yeah - I agree about the NPCs. That is something that we definitely plan to do come winter.
It really gets users involved with the story, and also encourages more users to post. (Especially when an event is heavily battle oriented)
Oh, I sort of meant for "NPC quests" to kind of mean "Would you rather have NPCs quests then a shop that you use special currency to buy EIs?"
That is a good idea actually, having the NPCs host the contests would be something unique. :3 That way the NPCs could post more, and like you said revel bits of information about the plot here and there.
And Scribblez, I don't know how you could claim that our story was "generic", unless you meant in term of how it was executed?
A detailed explanation for your reasoning would be appreciated. =)
Also we always have a scythe though? It's our signature item, and I'm sure we'll have another one come winter. ^^
Also thanks for your feedback Raz. ^^ We are glad that you enjoyed the event!

No prob. I really love Midorea, and I'm always glad to be able to help it become better, or try at least.
Now about the quote. It partially fits with what I was saying, meaning if you feel you can add more NPC quests, and interesting ones, go for it. Otherwise, a shop with the event items will do, though I think quests get the users more involve than just asking for them to buy things... Depending of course of how the currency is earn, like if you have quests that give currency that is used in the event shop, but still. ^^
