What do you get when you go to a concert featuring Atreyu and stand on the bleachers high above the crowd, merely watching?

For me, the finished product is fantastic visual that inspires words upon words, enough to fill up 4 notes in my phone.

The concert itself was amazing. I hope you guys get that same sensation from this piece. =]

--------------------

It was a sea of people with their arms raised in the air, high as any person could bear to reach. Each limb stayed aloft until the soreness set in, but even then, the high of the bass pounding in their chests eliminated the dull, aching pain. Their arms moved in time with the beat, swaying like a massive anemone in the shallows of a coral field.

Crowd surfers became fish floating on the anemone's tentacles; the outrageously loud screeches of guitars and screams of the lead vocals were the waves tumbling to shore. Every now and then, the arms would raise again in harmony and a loud cry resonated above the sound of the instruments, not in rejection, but welcoming the noise.

All too quickly, the sound faded and the sea calmed. But it wasn't meant to last. A crash of hands clapping accompanied the next song; the sea had sprung back to life.

I watched it all from the shore; I was quite content with seeing it from afar rather than be a part of it. Life seemed so far away from those people. They didn't have a care in the world anymore. It was all about the music; it was all about the moment. I almost envied them, but remembered the same feeling rushing over me not long earlier. So I was happy being an onlooker to their bliss.

For a long while, it seemed that very bliss was never destined to end. The moment would go on forever. Or at least until I turned away to join my mates on the higher shore.

I love it! Love the descriptive language. It really feels like I am there. I'm such a technical writer all the time, I really envy you. >_< I've never been to a concert like that before, and never felt inclined to. I'm not a huge fan of crowded limbs and deaf eardrums.... However, I can actually imagine myself in your place in this story, and it feels wonderful. Great job!
